i get anxiety as well from smoking. but i only smoke at night before bed. i always have a couple gronola bars next to my bed, and usually 6 bottles of water and a gatorade. if i feel a anxiety attack coming on, ill chug a bottle of water and have a gronola bar. reminding yourself that you are in the safest spot possible, with the safest (drug) you could be doing. nothing bad will happen if you feel a attack coming on you could always just close your eyes and fall asleep. i dont dream when i smoke so i usually take this route when i get that feeling.

just keep reminding yourself that you just took in a foreign substance, and it will change how you feel. its normal for your heartrate to jump like that because pot will help open your blood vessels, which will allow more blood to flow, and your heart needs to work faster to pump it all. if you really want then lookup the side effects youre having and youll find tons of other people have them as well. its not normal, but it is in a sense.

It's like in Harry Potter where if you're not totally sure you're gonna go through the wall, you won't, and that creates a negative feedback loop of "I might not be able to do it" which actually makes them unable to do it. Alternatively with a bit of rational thinking it can lead to a positive feedback loop - "I know that if I believe I can do it, I will." which itself makes it work

To everyone wondering how to get over anxiety or why you get it it's simple... could be a few reasons so use process of elimination.

It could be something is wrong in your life and you don't see the problem when you are sober. An example of this could be like me, when I smoked I realized that my house was " dirty " . I'm 19 and live with my parents, we have a business run from our home we all operate. Anyway, when I smoked something was wrong, just didn't know what.. I found out the dishes in the sink were bothering me, so I washed them. Stuff like that could throw you off big time.

Another thing could be you subconsciously hear things. An example from that is my dog is maybe 10 years or so old, and she is on her way out (breaks my heart, she is my best friend) so at night I will hear her whine or whatever and think about how close to death she is, which makes me have a terrible eposiode.

Needless to say, all the problems you have while smoking are mental. If you are in a legal state, at your dispensary certain strains cure certain things. I had a strain my buddy brought down from Vermont, eased stress and dropped my anxiety. My house could be burning to the ground and I wouldn't care, it really worked.
