My favorite dude.

Do you mean the performance or the quality of the audio itself?

youtube.com/watch?v=anWKfStxLZk

performance

youtu.be/oACZdxbGmqw

Just a pretty art song. Also Fritz Wunderlich

youtube.com/watch?v=Vaip_kccN1Q

The performance you posted is pretty good but the quality of the audio itself isnt as good. I wished they used better microphones, etc

now thats a piece and an interpreter
also another lieder

Is that part of a larger composition?

Nevermind I found it in en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_compositions_by_Ludwig_van_Beethoven

Nice, I like the Flea song. I sang it my freshman year. Listening to the 6 Gesänge now...

Emperor Concerto

Opus 131
Beethoven was a madman

Tempo, caracter, score indications, pedal, and we can keep going...
some...
1:52-1:58 (and again in the double bar), 5:32-5:41(there is a repetition of the ending note in the score and he does not play it), 5:47 (pls, not even the notes), 6:50 (notes, really weak excerpt and all the anacruces from the last one), and the same at the recapitulation, 10:11-10:33 (makes me sad, specially 10:25-10:29).
And that was only the 1st mov.

I agree the performance you posted is better, I was just refering to I wish they used better quality of microphones they used to make the recording with.

What do you think about the performance of No14 in OP?

its a single piece in a group of compositions (op 75), like track 3, whatever album.

more specifically what do you think of the third movement?

Beethoven on JS Bach:

"We are all bunglers before him"

No 14?

I like Bach too youtube.com/watch?v=mGQLXRTl3Z0

youtube.com/watch?v=4Tr0otuiQuU

In the same recording? The Rondo its a large piece, im fowarding it, same errors that cant be overcome, its not the piece or the excerpts, its the performer. Its far away from a good performance, even for a student or amateur. The main thing is that is not stylish, dont know how to translate it... not beethovenian, historicaly played.

Oh sorry I misunderstood I thought you where talking about Piano Sonata No. 21.
What's the best performance of Piano Sonata No. 14 with good audio recording quality?

Thank you all Anons

A lot of rumors around it. It was really new at the piano work sonatas, the first movement its a fantasia and thats unique, its not an introduction its a movement by it self. The 1st mov most of the time is allegro, or allegro with an intro.

Baremboim its known by their Beethoven performances but i dont like it so much cuz he do a lot of change of tempos with out an indication and a lot of rubato and pedal, but that its personal.
I am not a big fan of earing that sonata, i know it very well but i trust in the recordings of Rubinstein, Zimmerman, Arrau, Argerich, Gulda, Kissin, Gulda, Michelangeli, Horowitz.

compare that performance 0:41 and this at 0:34
