Lol, new fan my ass. I've been listening to Beefheart for almost 10 years. Where as blue jeans and moonbeams is a great album that I enjoy, it's one of his more normie approachable albums. A majority of the songs on it aren't actually written by him. Blue Jeans and Moon Beams being one of those songs.
