Damn. Both are so wonderful to perform and listen to.

Beethy was deaf and this makes him amazing.
Motard was just a faggot.

I don't know who those guys are, but I like Taylor Swift.

...

Amadeus. Because Ludwig is aimed at simpletons

Haha they sure are, Honestly for me I think Beethoven was the better artist, because he broke all the rules of classical music and just let his emotion write, on the other hand Mozart was the Ferrari of the classical world if you will, when it came to quality of music Mozart is your guy.

kill yourself.

Amadeus, ill allow it.

Both are amazing, but I believe Motzard is better for my ear.

Mozart is more fun to play than listen to. Beethoven makes me cry at times when I listen alone.

Beethoven starts the romantic period and did a job has a pioner by composing non programatic musica. Mozart is a great simbol in the music history but not decisive as Beethoven.

Award for spelling Mozart correctly.

I can just about manage to grind out metal on guitar but my ex was a grade 8 pianist. Watching her play Mozart was as astonishing as hearing her play it.

...

Wasn't mozart into scat?

Wow they're both so amazing. As a piano player who is classically trained, it's very difficult to describe either one of them as "better".

Mozart's music can be very technical and he was unarguably a genius. I mean his dad would wake him up and make him practice for hours every single day since he was like 2-3. In his music can be found such elegant grace, passion, and profoundness. From his piano sonatas, concertos, operas, and especially his haunting requiem, it's hard to knock the man.

Beethoven was a groundbreaker though. Mozart was alive during a time where musical structure was important and he was a flashy mother fucker and was a rockstar. Beethoven was INCREDIBLY amazing at the piano. Contrary to popular belief, he wasn't completely deaf until the last few years of his life but in his 57 years he left a print on the music world forever. Mozart died pretty much a broke alcoholic and was buried in an unmarked grave. Beethoven was rich as fuck when he died. His chamber music, symphonies, piano concertos, choral music, and especially his sonatas and other piano work are timeless and truly ahead of the curve.

Beethoven and Mozart are the reasons I got into music in the first place. They're two of my favorite composers.

Also what metric are we using to describe who is "better"?

For me it's probably Beethoven>Mozart (just BARELY) > Liszt > Chopin > Bach.....then the list goes on from there.

Yep, Beethoven has the same effect on me, i touched on this earlier, but he had a really difficult life, and it reflects in his music. Sounds gay but listening to his music makes you emotional as fuck, unless of course you're some kind of narcissistic faggot.

Couldnt have said it better my self.

people who say ''motsard'' should jump off a bridge.

Beethoven composed less stationary and more complex (not fucked up tho) stuff. Women usually prefer Mozart because he's lighter (aka PUSSY).

Vivaldi/Bach uber alles though.

Its seems like Beethovens 9th, but we never know.

>I'm sorry, I'ma gonna let you finish
Motzard and bethoven were good

but Yeezee was the voice of a generation

>artist
Dude both are genious prodigies

Erik Satie anyone?

shut the fuck up NIGGERS nobody cares about your "sophisticated" music taste (which isn't even sophisticated, faggots)

best from the rom. era imo (aka the shittiest era :^) )

Vivaldi over all?
Vivaldi only did the structure of the concerto. All his music is Theme, 5th cicle, solos.
The real music of Vivaldi were the sacral works.

i dont know anything about them so i can't say

ive just listen to them

bibi sounds super weak and gay
momo sounds super alpha and vigorous

>Beethoven was the better artist, because he broke all the rules of classical music and just let his emotion write, on the other hand Mozart was the Ferrari of the classical world if you will

That's really a great way of summing it up. Beethoven was controversial because he did step outside of the various formats used in classical music and just wrote from the heart. Mozart was legit like the most expensive flashy sportscar of his day but at the same time expressed a wide range of emotions in his music from pure joy to deep sorrow.

I fucking love music.

Mouth-breather.

i don't even like vivaldi, get triggered

contrary to popular belief, i believe that Beethoven finished the Classical era, not Mozart.

Mozart was a genius, his original compositions never had ANY corrections, imagine writing all of those amazing compositions and never correcting yourself once, it was flawless, he wrote it as if it were dictated to him by god.

Beethoven was way more emotional, erratic, diverse, because he went deaf, his musical ear didn't scrutinise pitch cadences like as if he actually had to play it or hear it, so the music is so much thicker

Mozart and Beethoven did meet, and Mozart knew Beethoven would go on to do great things, but Mozart understood perfectly that he was a genius, Beethoven undoubtedly also a genius, and I believe their music came from a similar place inside themselves as it was clearly a mental exercise for both of them (especially Beethoven who was deaf)

Beethoven ended the classical era by adding words to his 9th symphony, the first person to ever do so

How long did you have to stop sucking nigger dick for to type that?

Self-centered basement dweller lmao

less than it took you to fail at life

Wow Liszt over Chopin? Liszt is only acrobatic music and virtuosso stuff except the last works and the Harmonies poétiques et religieuses. But Mazurcas, most of the valses and nocturnes are... boring.

Too bad that nobody gives a shit.

That's reassuring. We dont want to deprive you of your nigger jizz.

shitty comeback/10
didn't expect much from you anyway

And scherzos in the sonatas and symphonies. Change the 1st movements and structures through the classic forms, even the fuges like using a pedal in the upper voice, etc.

> it's very difficult to describe either one of them as "better".
I hear you, i mean its kind of impossible to answer unless we establish what we consider to be an ´´artist´´ , once we do that, we can start thinking about who meets those criteria better .

>From his piano sonatas, concertos, operas, and especially his haunting requiem, it's hard to knock the man.

Totally agree, Requiem is actually one of my favourites. But the feeling you get while playing Beethoven's sonatas is something nothing can really can compare to in my opinion.

>Also what metric are we using to describe who is "better"?

Yeah, so to me its pretty simple (and i know there are plenty of definitions out there but) the definition of art is creatively conveying emotion through our five senses, sound sight etcetera.

So that would mean Beethoven would ''win'' but as you already said, you cant really knock Mozart, the guy was a fucking prodigy.

Great post btw.

Please accept my apologies for being so dissapointing.

>why does google get so deffensive
when it comes to light they lack any sophistication and culture?

is this an inferiority complex, lashing out...
a Narcisit Truculent Crescendo, perhaps?

virgins gtfo

...

Beethoven, because Mozart is too pink in general. The requiem mass is pretty fucking great tho

this.

Heresy.

skrillex

Real men never doubt on Skrjabin

Skrjabin is life

Skrjabin is the only one

Skrjabin understands me

Satanic stuff its the best

Thats a great way to put it, i think the last 19-20 years of his life was the ''golden era'' in classical in my opinion.

I was going to make this exact post
My only issue with Beethoven was his arrogance.
Also they present such a different feel to their works that as you said its hard to fairly judge this.

What about Ravel vs Debussy

Le tombeau d coperrain, fucking tocatta one of the hardest pieces of him

>bolero de ravel
was my favorite growing up

any other works of his i need to find?

Debussy had the heart, Ravel was always too academic. But i cant even compare.

Mozart is good, the best even as some people will surely argue, but Beethoven is simply not even in the same league...its not even the same fuckign game any more.

I cant even listen to Beethoven with people around because i get so fucking emotional, watery eyes all that jazz.

It has this melancholic feel to it that Mozart just didnt really have, maybe Requiem..

I forgot to actually get to the point, which is: from a technical perspective i think Mozart is the winner, but if you're talking art, then for me Beethoven takes the cake.

yes he was

Nothing wrong with a little scat.
Great for the skin!!!

Ctrl+F Sergei Rachmaninoff
no results. You guys are missing the real stuff.
Rachmaninoff is comparable to Beethoven and Tchaikovsky in many ways, but way more emotional

Bach.

Huge Chopin fan but not heard much of Rachmaninoff link me some tunes

This guy gets it

>Motzard

Is no one gonna acknowledge this?

lol keep searching man
Mozart, misericordias domini
concerto 20, specially middle section of 2nd movment

Fantasias pour le piano
Adagio of piano concerto 23
The string quintet in Gm
The string quartet with oboe
String Quartet 15 Dm

Waisenhausmesse
Missa brevis Dm
Some Kyries and in other several sacral music you feel the pain and the lament

Mozart helped to establish and expand on the conception of the modern day symphony orchestra and modern form in music. Not to mention he was the the pop star of cheesy melodies. Which is worth something.
Beethoven broke the boundaries of motivic expression and bent the forms of old in ways nobody thought of (ie expanding the coda into its own section, bringing motives from one movement into another, putting solos between expositions, etc) not to mention using articulations and ornaments as textures, rather than just playful expression.
Mozart was more important for the creation of harmony and homophony. Beethoven was more important for the use of the orchestra and the bridging of German form and Romanticism.
imo

Motzard cuz he has a nice hat

What the fuck am I reading? This isn't a trap thread? I thought people on Cred Forums are all retarded peices of shit who know nothing and only care about fb faps and the pics they shouldnt share to their big black cock bulls.

Thank fucking god you people exist. I mean it.

It should also be mentioned though that Haydn was the real OG of the German orchestration of that time though. Honestly, Mozart and Beethoven learned a lot and were incredibly academic in their pursuit of music. studying from many of the past masters and learning through academia. From Bach to Schoenberg and the Viennese school. The German arts have always been about augmenting onto the creations of the past masters.
Which is why judging these 2 is so hard.
Beethoven would always believe Mozart to be the better composer, and Mozart would've probably thought Beethoven was the shit and was a great successor to him and Haydn (After he got over the rule breaking)

I was thinking the same. Came here for the porn, but happy with the bonus. Mozart over Beethoven, though...

Beethoven master race
