High school/college (moreso high school) marching band arranger. I usually play bass lines by ear on alto sax or piano, then just transpose to fit tuba, then go from there and build my arrangements.

My arrangements are shit and major isn't even composition, it's music ed.

I main piano, been playing since I was 6. 22 atm.

I used to wait for inspiration. thats a fools game. Although sometimes you'll get lucky, your best chances for something great will come if you force yourself to have a creative habit.

sit your ass down and just make music even if it's bad. do this every day for at least an hour. improv like crazy, master your theory, copy people and steal what you like and put it together with something else or make it your own.
