The L does help with next year's draft.
Defense did much better than I expected from them today, and I even saw Shelton's name get in there a few times, I hope this is an end of his "bust" status. Wish Nassib could have been in the game longer though. They need to come up with an answer for the 5-10 yard TE pass plays.
Offense seems to be able to get the job done when it needs to, but it's still pretty inconsistent. Corey Coleman seems to be legit, and Pryor is a big receiver. Wish they could have used Barnidge more, I suspect his big plays will be more limited as they have more receiver threats to utilize. Crowell looked like a completely different back today, and Duke did his usual thing. With a better O-Line, they can probably be really good.
Plus, this is really helping showing the problem areas of the team. They're really inconsistent, and susceptible to momentum swings. Cam Erving is a liability of the highest order, sloppy snaps and bad blocking, he's going to get McCown killed. Everyone seems to be terrified of the notion of putting Kessler in, I wish they had a better alternative for QB. Special Teams is costing them games, they can't stop the rush which is fucking up the kicks. Those should be gimme points, but they're not making/giving up points. Clock/Timeout management is still suspect.

Overall, the rookies are getting better, and most players seem to be growing into their roles nicely. Still a lot of work to do though.
