There has been 5 separate occasions this season where the Mariners were 10 games over .500.

The first time was on May 25th. After this, they got swept by the fucking Twins and proceeded to have their terrible June which made them irrelevant.

The Second (and third) Was August 20th, following their red hot first half of august. The day after this, The Mariners collapsed against the brewers, and since then the rest of their August was cold as ice. (They did get back to 10 over for one day after that brewers collapse, then the august went to shit, therefore the second and third)

The Fourth time was on September 14th. After sweeping Oakland and the Angels, they proceeded to lose series against the astros and Blue Jays, likely destroying their playoff chances.

Then, on September 26th they get back to 10 over .500, only to melt down against the Astros the next game in the 6th inning.

Every time the Mariners get to 10 over they get cold.

Tebow has the unreal size/strength combo that most kids only dream about, his physical ability is 1 in a million. Whether pure physical will translate to MLB is yet to be seen, but he isn't just "some instructional league player."

Most kids in the instructional league are stick-thin Dominicans or high school kids that will never come close to developing the physique or athletic tools necessary to play in the big leagues. Tim Tebow already has those athletic tools, so he already has that down.
