I used to be very enthusiastic and always looking forward to the games. I would watch them from start to finish including pregame and even postgame
Now though I barely even turn on the TV and just check my phone for updates for my teams
>MLB - i still catch games on the radio but postseason coming up and I'm like meh, most likely won't watch any >NFL - already lost me in the second week, didn't even watch the Superbowl or most of the playoffs last year >NBA - I practically stopped watching last year or even the year before that didn't even watch a single playoff game let alone the finals >NHL - I'll catch the games on the radio and occasionally tune into the playoffs, preseason is starting I guess
Followed the Olympics from my phone app for medal count updates and highlights, barely watch soccer except for Copa America earlier this year
I barely even catch sports programming or commentary or whatever when games aren't on either
Anyone else feel this way?
Any remedies?
Dominic Foster
I used to watch 75% of "my" team's hockey games but it's dwindled down to 10%
School, work, and more adult hobbies just get in the way. I find that I'd much rather play sports in my free time than watch them because it's so limited.
Grayson Watson
>Something once interested me a lot >Now I barely care for it
Sounds like textbook depression to me, remedy it by seeing your doctor. t. College pysch major
Jaxson James
- Rampant doping
- Hyper commercialism
- Ridiculous ticket prices
- Stadium taxes
- There's really no team anymore. They're all mercenaries.
- I got older than most of them
Combine all those together and no, I don't get as excited as I used to. These guys aren't my heroes anymore. It's really just an excuse to go meet for some wings. Without friends or some sort of social setting, sports are literally useless. Posting in gamethreads because of autism is fine.
Basically, if you're sitting at home and watching alone (without Cred Forums), you need to rethink things.
Alexander Taylor
>- I got older than most of them
I'm 28 and this one is hitting home the most.
It's not even rookie sensations at 19 or 20 making me feel bad, it's regular every day players.
Nicholas Foster
>used to watch every minute of 4 hour, 6 hour and 12 hour races, and atleast 18 hours of 24 hour races of select series >now I don't even read the news
Wyatt Harris
Curious who are your teams?
Matthew Reed
That's like me with video games, used to be really into them but then lost interest. Sport is good cause you can just do nothing and act like its a hobby. Feels ambivalent man.
Isaiah Jenkins
OP here, I live in Chicago so:
White Sox Bears Bulls Blackhawks
Alexander Hall
Canucks and Whitecaps
Carson Gray
Maybe watch different sports?
Ryder cup is coming. Could try that?
Carson Sanchez
start betting so you can lose money while getting frustrated
Landon Lopez
Turn the volume off and avoid the Jewish propaganda.
Don't watch ESPN. Don't watch HBO.
Ayden Flores
I watch more sports as I get older but I cut out all the bullshit. Just watch the big events and get news from podcasts. Don't bother reading every single article and watching all the shit tier analysis on tv.
I know enough to have a conversation about maybe 10 different sports but have given up the quest for autistic knowledge of every team and player.
On Monday night there were two meaningless games in the PL and NFL. Years ago I would have watched both just for the sake of it. Complete waste of time tbqh
Daniel Sanchez
Watch e-sports instead
Wave of the future right here

Sports are for dumb people. It's really that symbol.
Smart people consume books, great television shows, and cinema that contain great ideas and themes. Dumb people can only enjoy symbol stuff like victories and defeats.
Luckily there are people like me who have grown up and outgrown symbol forms of entertainment. If you're still into sports when you're above 21, kill yourself
Austin Mitchell
There are very few things you can enjoy your entire life, sometimes you just get burnt out on stuff.
Doesn't have to be the end of the world, just let it go for a while and try out some other things. Maybe you can enjoy sports again when you come back to them.
Jeremiah Stewart
>adult hobbies I am curious, what hobbies?
Jose Bell

His 'adult hobbies' like posting on sports themed message boards.

Try watching a different sports rather than the "Big 4".
I think you guys are suffering from media overload because the media basically stuffs all these things down your throat every day.
Try to watch something else and let the thrill of competition come back to you.
I highly suggest the LCS and Worlds which is coming up very soon.
Luis Foster
>please watch our sport
watch archery desu comfy as fuck and fulla qts
Luis Diaz
>I think you guys are suffering from media overload because the media basically stuffs all these things down your throat every day. Agreed.
>I highly suggest the LCS and Worlds which is coming up very soon.
Yeah, no. Video games aren't sports.
Evan Moore
I don't think MOBA is a good genre to start with, way too confusing if you're not that familiar with all the different heroes/items/skills etc.
Also they're shit.
Jeremiah Cox
tfw to intelligent for watching sports
Liam Murphy
tfw to intellective to observe sporting games

fuck video games. take it to Cred Forums

sports are bad goyam. play vidya until you're a soft sedentary agendered blob.
Luis Jackson
It's fits with this thread though.
Aiden Flores
if I had the time to watch people play video games I would use that time playing video games.
Jace Flores
right in my trap!
David Lopez
you could say that for sport as well

Why not just go out and play sports instead of watching them?
Cooper Bailey
except some people have jobs that are physically demanding and sports become impractical. Video games are a far more passive activity that take little to no organization to start.
Nathan Jackson
What teams? Maybe your teams have something to do with it?
Isaiah James

yeah, but that's the point.
Sports have real life benefits.
Video games are pissing your time away.

i wasnt following the nba much 3 years ago. now im on it more than ive ever had. it could be also thing of that the sport has for us. im assuming ur in ur early 20s. right now the big names weve grown up with are gone from the scene. timmy, kg and kobe just retired ffs. if nothing else is entertaining for u it could be depression tho.
Caleb Roberts
>getting tired of competition
Sure is low T in here. It isn't the sports OP, it's your shit life.

Are you the same person in the other thread calling everyone who said that handegg is dying a jew?
Jonathan Clark
What? You can get all of those things much more efficiently without playing sports.
And playing sports is not going to give you much of those things anyway. Working out and exercising is going to give you those things. Not throwing a football around for 30 minutes a day.
Playing sports is a massive waste of time. Working out is not the same as playing sports.
Eli Gonzalez

that's your problem senpai you don't watch the best sport, that's why you don't watch sports

nigga plz. video games will give you zip. nada. zero.
It would be like me going on Cred Forums and talking about training for marathons.
But it's ok, I know you're just a shill. FUCK OFF.
Julian Ross
I can see why people without brains don't see the benefit
Jacob Jones
>you're just a shill
A shill for what retard?
Games can give you social interaction. There are studies that prove they improve memory and problem solving skills. You sound like you're just trying to talk about a subject you don't know much about. I'm not saying that video games are going to make your life somehow great but neither is going to the rec center on saturday evenings.
Samuel Campbell
>It's really that symbol. >Dumb people
Jonathan Butler
It's depression bro
Caleb Davis
Nigga fuck off. Exercise is important. Few things are more important actually. Why are you on Cred Forums and not Cred Forums if you're not a shill?
You know what the best ting for depression is/ Exercise.
Jeremiah Hall
>i claimed exercise was unimportant >you can't like both sports and vidya
Owen Butler
Let's be real, after around the age of 20 or so, vidya is for fat losers.
Hunter Garcia
How did this thread get derailed into talking about video games?
Tyler Russell
"e-sports" aka "video game" people are out of their minds.

The olympics got me obsessive. I bought a basketball and want to buy a plastic water polo goal. I want to ride a bycicle on the weekend and maybe sign into rowing class.
Aiden Taylor
do it
Kevin Lopez
Reminds me of my friend who hates football and said he could easily be an nfl qb because "its not hard to throw a football down the field"
Christopher Anderson
Do it user.
Jack Sanders

Austin Baker
I just watch twitch poker all day now. Don't know what happened with my sport interest.
