If he retires today, Hall of Fame?

If he retires today, Hall of Fame?

No. He was good but he didn't do enough in his career to warrant a HoF spot.

No.

but if he plays 5 more mediocre seasons, yes

I'd say yes, but Cred Forums is contrarian so they will mostly disagree.

3x DPOY and completely revolutionized the 3-4 DE position.

he is a big guy

Yeah, imo Hall of Fame is about to dominance at your position.

If you were ever undeniably the best player at your position for 3+ years, you deserve the Hall

Why is his jacket so tight?

How did he revolutionise it? Not a big NFL buff btw

No, he was drafted in 2011.

How many guys get into the hall with only 4 years under their belt?

For you

He didn't. He was just really really good at it for a few years. Now he's crippled.

JJ Watt is just a meme to get white people to buy jerseys.

4u

>went to Philly to get surgery
>becomes complete shit

POTTERY

And the NFL is not a proper sport but ESPN hype it so much you pretend to like it.

>Scheme babby
>HoF

Are they just giving it to anyone these days or what?

your mother seems to get under a lot of belts

bitch has a jaw like a plymouth

lol no

>Le look how hard working and humble I am man

Maybe if Von Miller didn't exist in the same era

>4 great years is somehow HoF worthy

Terrell Davis apologists please go

Hall of Fame of smashin puss

The NFL HoF doesn't let everyone in like basketball

Boipuss

Jesus, that is not a small lady next to him

gale sayers played 6 seasons. but basically 5 cause after his knee injury he was garbage

If that was the case guys like Tony Boselli would already be in. Very similar career trajectories as of now. I don't see Watt ever returning to form especially with something as easily lingering as a back injury.

>Tiger Woods sloppy seconds
>hall of fame

top kek

Not that user but I wouldn't say he "revolutionized" it necessarily but what he's done is basically unprecedented.

3-4 defense has 3 defensive linemen, 4 linebackers, and generally OLBs get the most sacks (think Von Miller or Justin Houston). Linemen are basically there to absorb O-linemen and free up holes for OLBs to get to the QB. So, to be a 3-4 DE (which generally means you're getting double teamed every play) and nearly break the single season sack record is fucking incredible. If he were in a 4-3 system he definitely would have broken it desu

No

He's just an overrated roid babby and now he's shit since his frame can't handle it anymore

>proper sport

fuck off hueinho

This, people on Cred Forums seem to the think the NFL HoF is the pro bowl.

He needs to be top 5 at his position for 8+ years to be considered.

If Terrell Davis can't get in because of a short career, then Watt doesn't get in either.

He's literally the greatest of all time, so yes.

3 DPOY in 4 years, only player to ever have 2 20 sack seasons and he only started for what like 5 years? Should have won MVP, been the best player in the league since his first 20 sack season. Yeah he's already in the Hof.

>Scheme babby
>Pretending this means anything

I wish nothing but bad things for you.

Generally a 3-4 DE is not a huge sack producer. Their job is to take blocks and collapse the pocket. Generally, a QB can easily see and adjust to them coming, so they just move out of the way to avoid the sack. This, while not flashy, means that the 3-4 DE has done his job. Watt changed the position and made interior pressure an important part of modern defensive schemes, whereas in the past, it was primarily an edge rusher's job. Now defenses across the league are trying to create their own Watt like figure by using the shortest path to the QB to generate pressure

>Scheme
>Not schedule
Shit von miller would get 30 sacks a season playing against the jasg, tits and clots twice a year

Depends on the position

>thumbnail
>"damn JJ nice work"
>"damn JJ that might be a man"

Kiss the RINGS frogposter

Too soon

Terrel Davia had probably the best 3 year stretch of his position and is still trying to get him.
We know there is a bias for some teams, but the texans aren't better than the Broncos.

Cred Forums will say no because it's Cred Forums but he would 100% get in the hall. the media love alone would force him through, but his dominance on the field warrants it. for 4 straight years, he had the highest DVOA of any player by nearly 40 points, the 5th year finishing 2nd to Aaron Donald (but it was largely because he had a torn groin, broken back, broken hand and torn abdominals and his production severely dipped in the final 5 games)

the guy for half a decade was the de facto best player in the NFL (not most valuable, but best meme). not just in his position, but in the league. he'd get in

or the dominance/team sucees.
Watt dominance amounted to literally nothing but him being a meme on the media

Terrel Davis will be reminded as one of the best RBs ever.If Watt retires now he wont.

>Terrell Davis
>best RBs ever
Did you guys just get our cargo boxes from 1999 we air dropped over that shit hole you call a country? He will never be considered one of the greats.

Yes no one has sacked so many jaguars
