Kodi sucks dick, in the time it takes to find a decent quality, working version of whatever you want to watch you could've torrented it.

>he equates kodi with the illegal streaming addons that are not even officially supported
If you're this bad at using Exodus you need to kill yourself, that being said, I rarely use it because streaming quality is for plebs

never heard of exodus

It's the best streaming addon for kodi right now supposedly, it's ridiculously easy to use.
SALTS is n.2 and I don't think it's good enough to keep installed.

is the selection good? is it mostly mainstream western shit?

>looking for streams that dont suck
>buffering buffering

Torrents > Kodi

Stop talking about exodus you dumb fuck.

Don't want normies to fuck it up.

EXODUS

>error loading stream

Literally half the things you want to play

...

MOVEMENT OF JAH PEOPLE!

mostly mainstream western shit as you say

again, kodi is not the streaming addons you can optionally download, kodi is a media center.

no mercy for streaming plebs desu,
I only use it rarely for shit I can't find on torrents, like for some reason I couldn't find Secrets & Lies s2 after the kat-shutdown

exous has bloody australian reality tv from years ago. thats how obscure it gets

yeah but just to warn folks, just because the obscure shit is listed doesn't mean (most of it) has any sources

Ultimate whitecream is all you'll ever need.

gotta have videodevil too for motherless & pornhub son

reminder that if you're not rolling OpenELEC with Arctic Zephyr and Quasar you're just not a cool dude

Yeah sure, I had those but I erased them, I was having a porn overload in my life ( ._.)

Exodus is fucking awful, 90% of the links are broken and the ones that work are shit quality. When will server streaming die already? P2P streaming is the future.

Exodus is GOAT

>Exodus is fucking awful, 90% of the links are broken and the ones that work are shit quality.

This. Torrents and DDL are so much more reliable than those streaming video links.

I just deleted my chrome bookmarks for the 10th time, just to break the no-fap attempt with kodi again, goddammit

>this thread

kodi is literally le.ddit

it's the type of normie shit my 50 year old mum and dad uses

shut up

ohohoho kodi is the best looking media center available bait-san.

pretty sure normies are too stupid to download and install the streaming addons for it

What do you guys run on? I'm using an RPi 3 right now but I'm swapping it out for some generic chinese box so I can use the RPi as a mobile Ubuntu platform.

>I only use it rarely for shit I can't find on torrents
This and watching the first episode or two while the season downloads. Bit counter productive if you have slow innanet though.

M8s+

yeah probably. i got it for my dads birthday, the firestick I mean. he cancelled the satellite TV the same day. fucker was paying like £50 a month for that shit.

What do you guys use for live channels?

I just run it on my pc in dual screen, kodi on tv, browsing etc on pc screen

I don't use kodi for live channels desu, still got regular tv digital decoder so I can watch my footy live in hd

Superior in literally every way coming through. Pi hooked up to the TV in my bedroom and the family room for surround sound, while other TVs just use chromecast. It's infinitely more portable as well.

I do use kodi on my TV closest to my media center though. Beats transcoding but it can't play h265 or 10 bit to save it's life. I do like that it's open source at least

woops

use plex

@74480824
(you)

Gvideo. Always good

Plex > Kodi >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> anything else

If you use Quasar you can stream torrents.

ill let you know when the stream finishes /buffering/

Plex isn't customizable, it's literally a normie-app

First of all, depending on your client you can customize a bit (on RasPlex for example).
Secondly, I know that as a basement dweller you like to make your kodi wallpapers 2d anime qts but what functionality does being "customizable" offer? I'd rather have the ability to bring with me a chromecast OR a Pi OR a Roku OR a laptop OR even just a phone ANYWHERE and be able to watch/isten to my entire ~3tb library remotely and securely on the go, than be able to "customize".

Do people honestly equate kodi with streaming or is this a samefag retard

Use LibreELEC over OpenELEC, it runs a more recent version of Kodi and will be getting more support in the long-term.

yes

Not always

I use plex.
I bought a lifetime pass and have a media server with 12tb hosted in a data center that's completely automated to download new BRRip releases through private trackers. Also does hdrips of tv within an hour after they air. Its on a gigabit network so with 40 friends/family I share to, I've never had buffering issues with the max I've seen of 7 streamers at once.
You don't even need to pay a sent for the service of your just using it for yourself and not really sharing.
Everything works seamlessly and I love never having to worry about manually torrenting locally. It also works great with a number of plugins which also are super easy to setup.
Pretty great Pham.
Don't know why you would use a legacy product like kodi

Anyone who says half the link dont work are fucking liars

95% of the links work and if you have good internet the HD streams are amazing

>95% of the links work and if you have good internet
sources not working has fuck all to do with your internet

Learn to read fucktard

what is kodi??

Jesus Christ, do you leave the TV on all day?

That's the combined Stats of like 40 users

i don't need it. i have a nas setup with sickrage and transmission. sickrage auto torrents from my private trackers, unrars it when it's done, and organizes it into my tv show folder, and i just play it on my comp that's connected to my tv. if i wanted to do wireless stuff i can also install plex on the nas and it can stream to any tv in the house.

/patrician/

I'd recommend sonarr and couchpotato over sickrage/sickbeard

yea i know sonarr is supposed to be better with some tweaks, but i'm fine with this for now. i had couchpotato before but most of the time i was just manually downloading movies anyway so i just don't install it anymore

you guys know any good sites I can upload movies to once I've watched them? just to free up disk space and have somewhere I can easily get them back again instead of using my trackers.

looking to make a low-power media box for my folks. I was interested in a raspberry pi but apparently it doesn't do netflix. any alternatives?

there's all types of media streamers that can access netflix, like a roku, or hell, if you have a ps3 laying around just give them that if you don't use it

sonarr is a mess. Fuck mono

Yea. Mono is kind of a pain in the ass sometimes. Especially when needing to close all instances of it sometimes. But after setting nzbdrone as a service using upstart, I was able to get it very very stable

Probably the only site that will let you upload whole movies is mega.co.nz

But that sounds like a huge waste of time. Just buy an external HDD and keep them on there

I'm a NEET fuck who spends all my money on alcohol.

not a huge waste of time really, leave my PC on when I go to bed and problem solved, takes like 5 minutes to download them again on 250mbits down.

Tons of people get that shit from their kids, people at flea markets or get the USB sticks that program add-on for you.

And I know tons of normies that program themselves. You literally just have to know how to type a few words in to askjeeves

Buy another hard drive

Got Kodi on my new TV, it's breddy gud. Exodus and iStream are both easy to use and I rarely find broken links.

kodi takes like 10 minutes to install + another 10 to watch a video about how to install it. With the pre-built packages most people will have everything they need. Anyone who wants it could easily put it on a firestick or something.

holy kek my dad installed exodus on a tv box and I never even heard of it. impressed 2bh.

The GUI was always slow as fuck when it xmbc (something to do with hardware acceleration?) did they fix that?

I don't get what the point of this is. What does it do that I can't already do without it?

Playstation Vue, get on it
