Would diablo make a good movie? I think Diablo 1 where they slowly decend into more and more madness the lower they get in the castle would be pretty cool to see.

I think thats where the World of Warcraft movie fucked up. They went for 'realism' instead of keeping it animated and stylized, and it came out like a dry fart.
I don't think it would've got nearly as much hate if it was an animated movie

a movie...it would almost just have to play out like LotR, but instead of Gandalf you've got Cain and instead of the fellowship you've got the PCs. and they just travel in pursuit of Diablo just like in 2.

Act 2 is mostly eye cancer but it changes things up so that's cool, and the Arcane Sanctuary is godly MC Escher art direction. Act 5 is the best art wise but Act 1 feels like you're descending from sanity into a war with hell whereas everything else in the game is visually overwhelming.

Median mod (Especially Median XL) made things mechanically better and expanded the game in a lot of great ways.

Path of Exile is a better game but Diablo had a better story.

I play it all the time. Got a 71 druid on hell version on battle net.

yeah they kept up server support, you can make a character but have to play it within the first week of making it or it's deleted and then log in every few months (not sure how many) or it's wiped.

They also do hardcore ladders every month it resets.
