Why were all the members of the original Enterprise from only one planet, Earth?

why were all the members of the original Enterprise from only one planet, Earth?
Also, why was Janice such a cutie?

Spock was from Vulcan dweeb

>Spock was from Vulcan dweeb
half from Earth, he doesn't count

Because the Federation is fascist

whats a yeoman

You're just making an ignorant assumption. Did you check their pupils? They could be Betazed. Their webbed hands and off-putting demeanor? Zaldan.

they basically carry around the captain's log

personal assistant

first Star Trek felt like it was about humanity exploring space
In fact original series feels the most real to me out of all of them

a whore

Starfleet is mostly human because it appeals to human ambition and the desire to have power/authority/respect.

Like one user said in another thread, Humans are the quasi warrior caste of the Federation

The word originates from England where it was used to denote a non-noble who was not also not a serf. Yeoman Archers/Longbowmen were the backbone of the medieval English military.

>half from earth
he was literally born on Vulcan, that's where hes from

navy term for the captain's assistant

They should've kept her on, fuck uhura

Why isn't she in the new movies?

because that would be sexist, she's nothing more than Kirk's secretary

If she did show up she'd be gender-swapped

Uhura's role in TOS was fairly sexist by modern standards (she basically answered Kirk's phone calls) and that didn't stop them from updating her to be an action hero in the reboots.

>Uhura's role in TOS was fairly sexist by modern standards
In the series sure, but they expand her role in the movies and show how her job isn't that easy and requires a shitload of skill

>and that didn't stop them from updating her to be an action hero in the reboots
who isn't an action hero in the reboot? fucking star wars shitfests

that said giving Kirk a female secretary, even a kickass one, there would be bitching

Her character arc would be simple: she starts as a yeoman but then proves herself on a mission (because, like everyone else in JJtrek, she's a genius badass) and gets promoted past yeoman (as she was in the later TOS movies).

It writes itself. This way they could also lessen Uhura's role instead of having her replace Bones in the trinity and mess up that whole relationship.

Yeoman Rand was hot. It's a shame she wasn't on the show for long. At least they included her in some of the movies though.
