Hey guys.
I'm a kino connoisseur (I can tell what lens the kino is being shot on just by watching it) and I've seen hundreds of kinos.
On my letterboxd account, I have only rated a measly 9 kinos with a perfect 5 stars.
Would anyone care to rate my taste?
I've rated only one film 10/10 famalkamoa
hi ya all im looking for a coach to help me get into films anyone want to guide my way?
We're busy watching films.
As I was moving... is indeed a masterpiece. Haven't seen the rest.
Going through this list now that I compiled from a image I saw here:

Watch this intro to patrician movies, you'll soon know everything you need to, it's called Eurocrime! The Italian Cop and Gangster Films That Ruled the '70s
Blair Witch was pretty good. Probably the worst Adam Wingard movie but the best Blair Witch movie.

Reminder that you should stop posting in this general or considering yourself a "film buff" unless you've seen more than 20% of this list

Blair Witch Project fucking sucks man
literally the greatest horror film ever made
maybe if it's the only horror movie you have ever seen
Anyone here actually work at a cinema? What's it like?
Really? What made it so enjoyable to you? How big a fan of the original are you?
let's see how this goes
I'm not a fan of the original at all but I do respect it.
Blair Witch 2016 is a fun rollercoaster ride horror (a bit like REC which is maybe my favorite found footage movie) action movie, I've noticed that I tend to like found footage more when the movie is high budget (like Cloverfield) rather than the zero budget ff ones (with couple exceptions, I love Creep) since when the movie has a budget they're treated more as POV movies which I'm very into. I really dug the look of the new Blair Witch, it was very well shot for a found footage movie, probably the best shot found footage movie that I've seen.
it's not nearly as good as the other Wingard/ Barrett movies but considering it's a sequel to a movie I don't like I had a lot of fun with it
especially liked the time manipulation [], that was way better than anything in the original
ive seen too many movies where the message was "war is bad" or "war is hell."
what are some movies that glorify war? "war ain't so bad", "war is pretty fun."
Eastern Condors
Rambo sequels
But was IS bad and NO fun at all
>Synt and his/her/it embryo gang arrive on the scene
fuck why did i chuckle at this
The Green Berets
The Delta Force
They're both practically propaganda pieces
Because you have a low iq
Because you have a high iq
Interesting. I get where you're coming from, it seems like the film is very much a loving sequel but also very reactionary - it's almost a photo negative in terms of doing the opposite of what the original does, but still following the same beats. That said, the time stuff is actually present in the first one, it's just a little easier to miss I think.
Please try not to be so transparent next time.

Was planning to watch the other Murnau this week but wondering if it's worth saving for a weekend rather than watching after work

I like to watch silent movies in the morning with a cup of coffee
unless it's a keaton or something, then it's better in the evening with a good beer
Invite me to tracker with the Murnau coffret
No
Yes, very common effect to feel slappy with silent films. if you do it without fake music, even more.
This was a good post, shouldn't have been deleted. But we are in poser days...
Rude.
what about real music?
Keep telling myself I should watch a film.
Still haven't done so.

I rate according to how much I enjoy it.

Are Michael Cimino's post Year of the Dragon movies good?

How does one achieve a level of such shit taste?
I dunno, I've never seen them

I fell asleep half way through this. Do you need yellow fever to appreciate it?
he was a reactionary fool
disregard him and his supposed "genius"
No. His works are very slice of life-ish. So they are dull, but the characters are beautiful.
A good choice as well.
Why would you put TWITD in with that bait?
