ITS UHH REETIEUHMINT CUHMEWNIDEE

Should I watch the Sopranos for the first time?

Nursing home. Retirement community sounds like something where you get people to cut your grass and do everything for you while you fish or golf.

requiring medical assistance-nursing home

It's no stranger things if you know what I mean

yes it's probably the best tv series of all time

What did he mean by this

Absolutely

It's an assisted living center

it was more like a hotel at Captain Teebs

On episode 10
Expected mob deaths
Got hardly any deaths and the physiology of a mob dude that isn't the boss yet.

pulp

Drop it now.

You're too stupid and don't deserve it.

I'm going to finish the first season, but yeah it is pretty bad. I guess watching it after True Blood was a mistake.

Brendan, we hardly knew ye

What kind of haircut do I ask my barber for if I want this?

The Joisy Douchebag, my dubbsy friend

AYES-HOLE

It's a this new guy has been there from the start and we're going to kill him episode.

He was made when Chrissy was, so it was around 3 seasons ago he was introduced.

>wake up
>wipe the cigar ashes, tomato sauce, stripper glitter and gabagool grease from my polyester short-sleeved collared bowling shirt
>breathe heavily and as loudly as possible on my trek down the stairs and across my McMansion to the kitchen (probably the most exercise I've done in years, I never did have the makings of a varsity athlete)
>fix myself a hearty plate of gabagool with a side of gabagool
>pour myself a glass of Tropicana™ with some pulp to wash down the diabetes
>here comes A.J down the stairs
>it's been a good week for him, he only attempted suicide 5 times and he got an F+ on his community college Remedial Arithmetic quiz
>I'm proud of him
>So proud of him that I take him outside to see his new car. My son only drives the best
>A brand-new stretch hummer limo. The safest money could buy, and it gets ten feet to the gallon
>A.J. starts bitching about the environment
>Tell him I'll throw his ass back in the pool if he doesn't shut the fuck up and get in the hummer limo
>He gets in, the hummer limo immediately bursts into flames
>A.J. survives, is angry he's still alive and goes back up to his room to jerk off to interracial porn
>Carmela arrives, she's back from the gabagool market
>She presents to me crates, barrels, backpacks and suitcases packed to the brim with delicious gabagool
>"It took me hours to gather all this gabagool, Tony. A thank you would be nice."
>Give her a gabagool and cigar flavored kiss on the cheek and a crisp $100 bill, and pat her on the head. That'll do, Carm, that'll do.
>Phone rings, it's Meadow
>Everything goes to black, there's no punchline. Fuck you, lmao!

ITZ A RETIREMENT GOMMUNITY

This is this guy not that guy. He's made to look like old guys, but not the same.

This is the correct answer. Assisted living is doesn't have nurses bringing meds. All day.

Who was in the wrong here?

I finished the show for the first time recently.
I was honestly disappointed. The first 3 seasons are completely unnecessary. For fucks sake Meadow doesnt even have a role in the later seasons when it actually gets interesting. Those 3 seasons are just random hijinks and world building thats honestly 8/10. I was entertained at the accents more than anything. ala "SHE WAS ABUSIVE TO THE STAAAAAAAPH"

Yeah i get it, tony and the rest of the mobsters you grew to love are sociopaths but it shouldnt take 5 seasons to establish that. Nor should you give people such a shitty ending after all that build up. And it should take a show that long to get interesting only to leave people with a flaccid. Second half of season 4 into 6 were 8.5-9/10 but they dropped the ball HARD.

Sil was best character and fuck you if you disagree. I wish Sil had 80% of paulies screentime.

Defiantly not the greatest show ever. Maybe in 2003 but not in 2016

>And it should take a show that long to get interesting only to leave people with a flaccid

And i shouldnt take a show that long to get interesting only to leave people with a flaccid ending.

sorry for the typo

...

>Sil was best character and fuck you if you disagree. I wish Sil had 80% of paulies screentime.

I don't think you understood the show at all.

...

do you have

Suck our cocks?

what, paulies a self destructive sociopath who has no family or friends because he devoted himself to the mob yet the mob barely gave anything back to him.

What more is there to get?

please, enlighten me.
the wire is better in every way, i dont get the hype im sorry. I get point of the show its a modern tragedy but its executed horribly imo.
But im open to discussion, please tell me what im missing

...

>the wire is better in every way

Thanks famalam, his face is priceless here.

What's the moral of The Sopranos? What wisdom, if any, did you take away from the series?

What is up with literally everyone being introduced so early?
Just rewatched the series and I don't know if they planned ahead a lot or just were great at going back to old material, but many of the characters we don't see/don't become prominent until later are either shown or mentioned very early. Little Carmine is mentioned very early, Adriana is in the pilot very briefly in the background, Vito is in one of the first few episodes but never becomes important until season 6, Johnny Sack is in the first few episodes but we never see much of him until seasons 4 and 5, Ralphie gets mentioned in season 2 and shows up in season 3, Furio gets mentioned very early in the second season before we ever see him Italy, the middle eastern guys, Richie is mentioned very early in the first season, Jackie Jr. too.

It's weird rewatching and actually knowing so many of these characters they just mention off-hand.

who cares? the lupertazzis let themselves get crippled even more than the sopranos. even with tony dead at the end, the sopranos were still more in control than the lupertazzi family.

taste the wares email

fucking d girl is mentioned in the pilot

>it's a thicc early-season meadow walks around the house with no bra and a tank top episode

Their use of callbacks is one of the reasons why people say its the "greatest show ever"

Def one the shows strengths.

The thing that impresses me so much about it is that it's not funny callbacks- there are a few, arc word so to speak that are very subtle and come back without much recognition (glorified crew, appreciate the good times), but most are more of a continuation of continuity than stuff like Breaking Bad or other TV shows have where it's more along the lines of DO YOU GET IT GUYS? REMEMBER THIS? ONLY LONG TIME VIEWERS WILL GET THIS ONE.

It's crazy good stuff.

early season meadow with no bra, carmela in that pink tracksuit that makes her ass look thicc, and arties wife were top 3. Adriana was a cliche bimbo who didnt do as much for my dick

>arties wife

Feech is mentioned dozens of times before he actually appears

I loved watching this guy get baited in house of cards. Tony and Frank both rek him.

>BYE BYE POP POP

All I know is he never had the makings of a varsity athelete.

Someone post the fucking pic

ITS LIKE A RESORT AT CAPTAIN TEEGS

>it's a tony beats the shit out of everybody episode

Looked like an Assisted Living facility, with a SNF (Skilled Nursing) wing if we're getting technical here.

t. I was in the industry (IT side, I'm not a nurse kek)

HOWS THE BOY?

...that was Karen's ziti ;_;

>I guess watching it after True Blood was a mistake
>implying True Blood is good enough to taint your perception of the Sopranos

wow. Just. wow.

>blood on his shirt

are those the fatal bullet wounds I wonder?

>lupertazzis have over 200 mad men
>sopranos have about 50
>sopranos are still in more control tho

lupertazzis could have taken them all out, theres probably a couple crews in the Lupertazzi family with more guys than the Sopranos whole outfit. Not even counting associates

10/10

Every time I try to get into the series I'm just put off by how irredeemably icky all of the characters are. I can't associate with anyone. Am I missing something? Besides gabagool of course.

I just finished watching Made in America 30 seconds ago.
He was looking at Meadow coming through the door, because he looked straight ahead, towards the front door, instead of to his right, which is where the bathroom is.
I'm pissed.

doubt it. they would have floundered like when carmine died, and everyone would be fighting to be boss.

you really think butch, that fucking fat lazy-eyed manlet, would have taken charge? especially after knowing their leader, despite supposedly being so great at hiding, got his ass capped? that family would have eaten themselves alive.

>because he looked straight ahead, towards the front door, instead of to his right, which is where the bathroom is
that, and because he didnt pay attention the previous 2 or so times people entered. tony fucked himself, but in a pottery sort of way, it works. also, don't forget:

>when out on lake george with bobby, bobby says roughly "when death comes, you dont even hear it"
>when the lupertazzi fucking shit that sil was with got capped, sil recalls that he didnt even hear the shots until they happened

you're just a pleb

dude...

to be fair the first few seasons of True Blood were alright but yeah that is some bait right there
