Daredevil discussion

We all agree that best part of Daredevil S2 was the Punisher but who/what was the worst part? For me it's either The Hand storyline, Elektra or Foggy.Too bad they added one good thing but fucked up what was nice(or bearable) before.

The entire concept of someone being a "black sky". Like what the fuck does that mean they never explained it.

Does it just mean you're really good at killing people? Its a central plot point and I have no idea what it means.

Punisher and Kingpin are amazing in the show. I love D'Onofrio's Kingpin so much. Stick is also awesome.

Hopefully Karen gets killed off next season, she's far too annoying and they can focus on Elektra/DD romance if need be.

With the exception of Karen there's really not a character I dislike.

They shipped every ''good'' male character with Karen with the exception of that black cop.I've never read Daredevil comics but everyone says Karen's a way fucked-up character with a past full of drugs, porn and murder.I wish they would go with this route and kill her, it would be a great character development move for Matt.

I kinda liked THE BLACK SKY mystery in first season but they fucked it up with the Elektra :(

Anything that involved Karen Page and that fat fuck was awful
>20 minutes of Based Frank
>cuts to fat fuck and Page talking about how Matt isn't there to listen to their whining
I liked when Matt just told foggy to GTFO
>fighting against ancient cult to save mankind
>B-BUT NO MATT YOU'RE WRONG! YOU SHOULD COME TO THE FIRM TO SIGN THESE DOCUMENTS, WHY AREN'T YOU THE WAY I WANT YOU TO BE

>We all agree that best part of Daredevil S2 was the Punisher but who/what was the worst part

wrong way around friendo, this punisher was awful. The punisher isnt some melodramatic faggot who screams at the top of his lungs while fighting and monologues to people about his emotions. He certainly doesnt accept deals with mob bosses. This whole character can be summarized as "if Shane from TWD was the punisher"

what is a character arc

not the punisher's. The ruthless murderer was always inside him, ever since vietnam, another key thing about him they took out because of the setting. The only thing that kept it inside was his family.

they didnt make karens story dark and tragic enough. she was wearing the detective hat. they should have raised the stakes on her higher and made her story more crime noir-ish.

Punisher > Wilson >>>> Elektra > Foggy >>>>>>> The Hand

i just didn't like the guy playing punisher. horrible acting from him.

Why does everyone think the line "ever been tired Red?" is meaningful in any way? I don't get it

the problem is this isnt the punisher punisher. hes very time compressed and a lot younger. i consider him more analogous to a fresh off the boat from vietnam proto punisher. and he doesnt step off the origin story until he walked away from the melodrama / burned the house down.

If you actually and paid attention when she killed Wesley and Frank commenting it's wasn't her first rodeo(using a gun), it's implied she already has a shady past involving her brother. I doubt they are now gonna make her into a crack whore and kill her off.

have you ever been tired?

Yes, it's a stupid question

>Stick kills a back sky kid in S1 with no hesitation or remorse
>Goes out of his way to protect a black sky kid in S2, even killing one of the members of his order to save her

BRAVO MARVEL

Foggy was gold. The Hand storyline, Elektra shit sucked and page was no better. good parts are foggy and punisher

stick is harder now then he was 20+ years ago!?

What? Stick wanted to kill Elektra

its not about her past its about the story. if they dont bring her down that dark path they cant crack whore her but if they do its gonna feel like it come out of nowhere. the whole her/punisher thing should have left her more broken.

how tired?

Just fucking say why it's meant to be a poignant line

He's talking about PTSD. Frank doesn't want to admit it, but he was clearly damaged from his time in the war and losing his family pushed him over the edge.

>That scene where Foggy talks two gangsters out of fighting each other in the hospital
Probably the worst single part of season 2.

The best part wasn't the Punisher but the fight scene in the stairway with the biker thugs.

>cuts to fat fuck and Page talking about how Matt isn't there to listen to their whining
Hey that fat fuck is the only one doing any real work. If matt wanted to run around he should have gotten wayne money.
>20 minutes of Based Frank
Don't overhype him.
>B-BUT NO MATT YOU'RE WRONG!
yeah, if you are not going to contribute then don't promise

Is this the worst costume ever? He looks like he has down syndrome.

>the whole her/punisher thing should have left her more broken.
I'm sure she'll have more connection to him later on in S3 or in Punisher's new solo show.

something the punsher does not have. most of his comics are him guning down comical bad guys with gimcks, the most "conversation" he gets is when he lectures some woman about how guns keep evil hobos away and "befriends" 3 fools living in his apartment building.

The flashbacks, senpai. Some Chaste guy wanted to kill Elektra for being a black sky and Stick kills him to protect her. Inconsistent characterization desu. Plus we still have no fucking clue what exactly a black sky is.

some people didn't like elektra but I liked her

I think it was jokers lines from some comic.

>real work
What work? He's a mediocre lawyer, Murdock did all the heavy lifting. Shit, he took down Fisk all by himself, both the legal and outside the law way.

>Foggy was gold
Foggy was shit, he is like an annoying ex always complaining and whining

FUCKING ANSWER ME

Foggy ain't mediocre, he gets several scenes dedicated to him getting out of sticky situation with persuasion and legal know-how. Plus, he was picked up by a high-profile firm solely on the virtue of him making a really good opening statement.

>Matt decides to leave Karen for Elektra
>Elektra dies
>"Welp time to call up Karen"

I hope Karen tells him to go fuck himself.

>Murdock did all the heavy lifting.
like what? Did you watch s2? He asked the team to take the case and then just did not show up at key moments. if it had not been for murdock using his friendship with foggy to do free work foggy would have a well paying job in some company

Someone did, numbnuts.

I guess that's probably the best fight scene, though I really lose interest in the drawn out fight scenes

The Punisher was the only reason I watched this season, I mean do people really love the 1000 "daredevil fights ninjas in the dark" scenes

most people who think that are dead beats who never pull their weight and complain when they are kicked out

>He's talking about PTSD
So why is Daredevil saying "yeah" such a big fucking deal? Matt has no PTSD

Maybe not full-blown PTSD, but he sure has experienced trauma and seen some shit.

>WHY DIDNT YOU TELL YOU ARE THIS BADASS VIGILANTE WITH SUPERPOWERS! WAAAA MATT I'M SO MAD AT YOU RIGHT NOW WAAAA
I fucking hate foggy

its mental fatigue you mongoloid.
hes fought wars to no good outcome
criminals to no good outcome
end less trash for there only to be more trash
trying to stem the tide with only a bucket
he knows how insurmountable his fight is
and all that weight is bearing down on him.

at that point it would come down to him if he has the will to keep going or lay down and give up.

if youve never had that kind weight on you i dont expect you understand and frankly i really hope you dont ever have to.

1/10

a lot of the things frank did in the show didn't really fit with the punisher. he would've told karen to fuck off if he even talked to her at all.

That fat faggot couldn't even begin to understand the weight Matt has to carry on his shoulders. He should just shut the fuck up and do anything he's told

Well then I'm glad they changed it as I really enjoyed the scenes with those two.

He wasn't fully the Punisher yet. It was an origin season for him, same as S1 was for Daredevil and Kingpin. Still liked their interactions, though.

>scene in the diner where Karen is whining and about Matt and Frank says he wishes he could still feel that way about his wife

I fucking hate this meme in shows. The best friend always has to be violently outraged at what would be an awesome thing to learn about someone. Granted, there were times Foggy being mad was justified, like when he was lied to, or kept worrying, or when Matt couldn't pick up the slack at work and basically sunk their firm, I get all that, but it's like he just learned it and went "WOW HOLY FUCK YOU HELP PEOPLE AND DIDN'T TELL ME DESPITE THE MASSIVE DANGER IT WOULD PUT ME IN? GOD YOU'RE SUCK A FUCKING ASSHOLE"

It's not even realistic but it somehow fucking gets into every single superhero/secret identity work.

ok we get it you are a fat beta cuck like Foggy, he was shit and you are shit too

he is bating you

>its a Karen digs through files episode

except foggy was drugged and pushed his ex lover out of the window for running with matt, don't act like matts choices are not fucking him over.

I actually liked Elektra just fine, it was everything else to do with The Hand that was boring as heck.

>it's a 'Karen is wearing a tight dress' episode

Who the fuck calls Kingpin ''Wilson''?Just say Fisk or Kingpin.

while Frank was based I didn't understand a single word of The Hand storyline

>warlords in ancient china even though ninjas are japanese found the source of immortality and no one can oppose them because they have the black sky even though they dont have it yet and why would you need anything else if you're immortal but not really because you can still cut their heads off but no one fighting them does that for no reason but there is one badass kid who could oppose them they let live for no reason and Stick claims to be him or something even though that'd make him thousands of years old and he opposes The Hand for some reason and the black sky turns out to be Electra who they expect to lead them for no reason that Stick didn't kill as a little girl for no reason that The Hand fights against with lethal means for no reason

what?

fuck that noise, he was the punisher since firebase valley forge. in this show he whines like a bitch until the last episode and then when he finds a jacket he's a different guy, that barely even makes sense.

obviously its different from the comics, namely he was never even in vietnam

Stick to Cred Forums, fuckhead.

The hand seems like a big deal on its own but in a universe full of organizations like it, having secrets of immortality is not as big of a deal.I think stick is undead

do you not understand flashbacks?

stick thought he could change elektra as a child. he failed.

so when he's older with matt, he does not hesitate to kill that black sky kid because he learned his lesson with elektra

the hand are japanese, there is no chinese connection

the story goes is that the hand are trying to resurrect some japanese demon/tengu that they worship.
the black sky is necessary for this process. a black sky is only born every few years and are very rare.

the hand have already mastered resurrection. you can still die because you're not invulnerable. but they can bring you back so in that sense you are "immortal." it's basically cheating death

Do you actually have autism? This is coming from someone who thinks that Shane Punisher is overrated

Gay?

Anyone else bothered by the fact that Frank was a manlet? Punisher should be a 6'9" 350 pounds beast. Not some 5'9" DYEL bitch, I could snap his tiny arms like twigs!

The Punisher isn't big, he's a normal sized dude.

For people not getting what The Hand is all about. They're demon worshipers, as in literal demons, which fits in with the whole "devil" motif of the series. Also Black Sky is probably the MCU's version of the idea that the Hand tends to follow a leader that functions as a suitable host for a powerful demon. The moment you learn that, the easier it gets to somewhat enjoying the rest of season 2.

That all happened AFTER he got pissed off though, that's why it was so inconsistent. At the time he threw his shitfit, nothing had happened.
