Do you enjoy the films of Wes Anderson?

I hate how happy his films are.

me too

I used to, but he seems to be in a creative rut.

Also his themes of child sexuality and pederasty are totally offputting.

Sometimes I wonder if it was just peak Paltrow that clouded our judgments on the quality.

And yes OP I recognize and acknowledge your meme.

>Also his themes of child sexuality and pederasty are totally offputting.
It was pretty blatant in Moonrise Kingdom which is partly why its my least favorite film of his. What other movies are these themes in?

No, but Hell, I envy his boyfriend. He's really cute.

yea

Me three

I bet you enjoy films of Wes Anderson

what did you mean by this?

>muh trappings of the wealthy
>muh ideosyncratic Type A's
>muh '68
>muh quirky dialogue
>muh droll Bull Murray
>muh muh muh

I have to give him credit for the fact thay he's a very singular auteur; nevertheless, I hope he dies a slow and painful death.

whatever happened to this meme and driveposting

If this meme had a neck, it got snapped a long time ago

i used to enjoy his stuff, but after watching 4 of his movies, i started slowly hating everything about his style, from the twee set design, to the obligatory INDIE music etc etc. the thing i started hate is how every character speaks in this shitty deadpan, which makes his actors feel like mannequins and not real characters talking. and when it dawns on you that this goes for basically every character, yeah, its shitty.

Yes I loved Mortal Kombat.

>What other movies are these themes in?

Rushmore between his self-insert and the female teacher.

Budapest hotel with the Effiminate Fiennes and his "Lobby Boy".

>It was pretty blatant in Moonrise Kingdom which is partly why its my least favorite film of his.
This. 100% this. I was honestly baffled why more people didn't find it so creeptastic. Everybody just fawned over how carefree and innocent the film was. All I could think about was WA standing behind the camera, directing a couple of 13 year olds in their underwear.
>yeah....yeah....just like that
>yeah...now touch her tits
>...yeah.....yeah...that's right
>......now push your dick into her
>now tell him you like his hard dick...yeah...that's right

Rushmore is pretty good. Life Aquatic is his masterpiece.

The Grand Budapest Hotel was alright, but not great.

It was carefree and innocent though.

You're the fucked up one if you were thinking that shit.

fantastic mr fox is one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

royal tenembaums was mostly terrible, especially the way he portrayed depression and suicide, and the awful use of music. but gene hackman was pretty enjoyable.

grand budapest hotel was alright, good fun.

wew lad. you'd hate French cinema from the 70s

tru

does your father know you're homosexual

The script was co-written with Roman "the unibrow" Coppolla, so take that as you will.

Also if you find it creepy you're probably projecting. My little cousin loved the movie. It captures the awkwardness of developing chiloren very well.
