Which scene(s) are you most excited to see adapted for the TV series?
Other than the obvious Dumai's Wells (Asha'man kill), I'm probably most excited to see Lan charging the Trolloc horde alone to fight Demandred protected by the Two Rivers archer's flaming arrows.
Julian Morris
That scene where TUG BRAID
ADJUST SKIRT
MEN BEING WOOL-HEADED FOOLS

I think I would prefer a TV series that follows the War of Power instead of the books.
First episode can be setting up for the main protagonists: Lews Therin, Tel Janin Aellinsar, Barid Bel Medar, Mierin Eronaile, and Birgitte. End the first episode with the Great Lord's prison being touched for the first time, like the scene from the history of the Aiel.
This way the studio has more license with the plot. We don't need to put up with them doing stupid things like giving Mat a mustache or getting rid of characters for "cohesion."

Shadar Logoth could be great. Dream sequences with Ishamael figuring out who is who. Fain nailing a Fade to a wall. Perrin torturing the Aiel then throwing away his axe.
Ayden Martinez
Top pick off the top of my head
The forging of the hammer
Perrin stopping balefire and showing up ewgene in tar ( I hope they do the characters right because i fell like this will be a great moment of "about time someone knocked her down a bit". Even more so on screen then in the book)
Nynaeve defeating a forsaken after all that buildup of them being basically the end all evil powerhouses will translate very nicely to screen as well if the manage it right.
Kind of an odd choice here but mat swinging from the sacred tree out of nowhere from rands perspective ( if i was show runner I would split their journey into two part episode. First where we see rands side ending on the stinger of him seeing his friend hanging. Then second episode would follow mat ending with Rand saving him)
Mostly because I can see the "why would i read when i can just watch crowds" reaction to it. Already imagine the Facebook explosion on everyone's wall as people discuss it

I don't know the book, but Mat Kills a fade with with the Ashandarei in front of Aiel Darkfriend. He was modest about it and she freaked out saying how impressive it was.
It was the turning point for me where I got fully invested in Mat's character.
I think there is a good chance they could get it right on the tv show.

>We don't need to put up with them doing stupid things like giving Mat a mustache or getting rid of characters for "cohesion."
That wouldn't be stupid. There are a ton of characters they could and should get rid of without affecting the story at all.
There are about 10 completely unnecessary and undeveloped villains. Half of the Forsaken, Isam/Luc, and even Padan Fain has no significance at all in the later books.

I read like 5 of these fucking books and now I don't remember much about them. They were comfy though. I liked the part where they went to that spooky city and the funny one took a dagger that made him super sick. (Like ill (ill as in he has an illness) not sick as in cool haha) I'd much prefer this show as an anime though because of all the cute girls.

> and even Padan Fain has no significance at all in the later books.
what a fucking let down that was. he was one of my favorites too, that punking out the trollocs with the dagger and stringing up a myrddral.
Nathaniel Brown
Robert Jordan spent two decades on these books, and there are hundreds, if not thousands of subtle, careful metaphors and other literary devices. The more skilled you are at deciphering these metaphors, the more enjoyable the series is to you. I think of myself as very skilled at finding metaphors.
Jason Rodriguez

Fucking men reeeee

oh boy so much interesting scenes to choose from >when the trollocs won't cross the water I'm sure that won't come across as a huge lotr ripoff at all >when the little bitch can't handle a cursed dagger sure that won't be too familiar to the audience at all
I could go on but why bother
Austin Nguyen
It's great that you enjoyed the series so much. Just wonder how it will translate to TV.
Asher Carter
>Ultimate evil in dark mountain >Black cloaked riders of Pure Evil invading peaceful hick domain >Canny competent swordsman showing hicks what's what >Mysterious wise figure coerces hicks and amazes them with magics >Creepy fuck obsesses on the heroes Brandon Jordan was a straight up hack
Adam Rodriguez
Genuinely lol'd.
Tyler Murphy
I was literally rolling my eyes throughout the entire first book and kept wondering how this motherfucker was able to squeeze out an entire series of this shit
Ethan Thompson
There's also lifting from Arthur, various mythologies, etc. The idea that everything is recycled and legend fading to myth is the hackiest gimmick ever. >hurr we're getting the real version of tales that will be munged in the future
Almost as bad as the ta'veren plot device which makes deus ex machina asspulls canonically okay.
HACK
Jaxson Phillips
I was just kinda glad the first book had a satisfying ending (somewhat) so I didn't have to, in some fit of insanity, go on with the series. I literally haven't ever tried another fantasy series after this experience

This is because no matter what happens Mat doesn't see heroes, least not till Noal. He sees only people, its why he doesn't like nobles.
