What did you like about spring, summer, etc?
I found it very unimaginative and I passionate given the subject, like a wasted opportunity

I have a bit of a bias towards it for being about Buddhism, but it's hard for me to really say what I liked about it other than some uninformative answer like "everything".

I watched green room and don't breathe this weekend, both suprisingky gripping, but very mediocre I thought

I think what bothers me is that Kim Ki Duk didn't read anything about Budishm before making the film, and it shows and for me a lot of the spiritual experience that one could have had with the film does

I'm actually glad he didn't or at the very least, didn't make it into a truly Buddhist film. I just can't see that working without it feeling preachy or something. What it does show is sort of the absolute fundaments in the main point in Buddhism. It kept it simple and to the point, never getting bogged down in the Four Noble Truths or Eightfold Path and so on.
