It's really fucking dull. The show was never scary so it only had it's ridiculous stories and characters going for it. When you take both away you're left with nothing.

Well...I enjoy the show and I have been enjoying this season. I wish they would back away from this framing device but its not going to ruin the season for me.
There aren't two timelines. The "action scenes" are dramatic recreations with actors.
And theres a 100% chance that this format will stop and become a more traditional story telling device, with the actors in the dramatization becoming characters too
More importantly which are hotter? The real life actors or the dramatic recreation actors

Just this. Coven went from colonial America to 200+ years later in present day New Orleans and the main location is a pristine white mansion. Other seasons didn't need one as bad as Coven. The other intros actually made references to events, motifs and the general setting in the show and actually kept the show in the fucking era the intro prelude.

Hell no. Not anywhere near to the degree of Coven. All the other openings take place in the same time period and location. Murder House even reused shots from the intro.

Just watched this episode. I knew after HOTEL this show was fucking done. The opening of this season with the IR couple walking past some skinheads and then the WHITE PEOPLE PLAYING "THE KNOCKOUT GAME" ON THE BLACK GUY FOR 'GANG INITIATION' let me know right off where it was going. Then we open with a nice BLACKED sex scene. Now we have this
