What did you guys think about this masterpiece

what did you guys think about this masterpiece

lol fart jokes

i haven't seen it i just heard there was a part about farts

lol

oh theres a lot of fart jokes but the film is realy deep with an amazing/hilarious twist at the end you really should watch

>twist at the end

Explain.

To me the first 9/10ths of the movie was a man imagining a friend and remembering everything about his life right as he kills himself. He even says it in the beginning. Then the ending became a contrived "no this really happened" and I thought it was weak.

It was a good movie though for the most part.

It's not a movie meant to be taken literally I think. The "what the fuck" is meant to express that ambiguity. There's details that contradict either story - it really happened, or that he was crazy. It might seem a cop out that way that you can't conclusively say it either way, but it's a movie really more about its issues and themes than the literal story. Which is of course an absurd story in the first place, under either interpretation.

you think its a man whos stranded but hes just a creep living in the woods behind the girl he stalks and who plays with a dead body like a puppet while dressed like a woman...i think itd hilarious

Classic Paul Dano.

>is this real
>why's he farting so much
>is he really alive?
>who's gf is that?
>why are they gay now?
I swear watching kino with normies is shit

I mean that wasn't really a twist if you had considered that the whole time that it was actually happening. I get its a movie but I hate the ambiguous parts about it.

this was probably the worst movie i've seen and not in a good way like birdemic.

and yes i 'get it', it was an unfunny trash attempt at ironic humor. the attempts to emotionally connect were so whimsical and naive, it was just embarrassing to watch

two music video 'directors' made it and they reek of mainstream youtube and reddit scum, never watching anything by either of these two shitlords ever again

well i tought he was on an island or some shit losing his mind but i never even think about the fact that he might actually be dead

i fucking lost it when the expresionless face of a dead daniel radcliff started signing the jurassic park theme

You know what the real twist was?

That it all happened.

no that's not the ambiguous part, people are asking if he really was stranded and rescued by this magical corpse, or if he was simply a crazy guy in the woods who found a dead body and started imagining stuff with it

A lot of the dialog with Manny is really dialog that Hank could be said to be having with himself. E.g. "Why did you make me think I loved someone that doesn't even know I exist?" - you can think of Hank asking himself that same question, why has he let himself fall in love with some girl on a bus who doesn't even know he exists? A lot of it's working through his own anxieties. A good deal of it physical of course, such as farting and masturbation, but also just relationships and connection in general.

well i know that i never even tought of the fact it could not be really happening while watching it

There was some garbage at the start that said something like "my boat crashed". Anyways I think it's funner to just go along with the premise of a movie. I mean I was half-expecting it to end with him choking on his rope and that it was all some dying dream, but I was willing to go along for the ride and that Manny was real.

thats exactly the twist i was talking about hes just a crazy dude speaking with a dead body

Oh well you used the same "he" twice without clarifying you meant someone else, I thought you thought Hank was dead, not Manny. Which I could sort of see someone thinking - there's a fakeout at the end, and you might think it was a dying hallucination as he hung himself.

You wouldn't know if what you're watching is comedy or drama, but it is kino anyway.
Also,
Classic Paul Dano.

some sorta multi purpose tool guy

The soundtrack is the only impressive/creative thing about it. They should stick to music videos.

what does kino mean

i thought it was good. a little uncomfortable at times but ultimately enjoyable

movie in german
but autists have a number of uses for it

It's theater in German not movie.

The Netflix namedrop was a mistake

this movie was reaction images kino

>what is google translate for
the only autist here is you

who cares, its the same idea

No it isnt

>let's watch a kino
>go to stare at random movie theater for 2 hours

It's a stupid meme which means good, because Cred Forums posters will latch onto anything that can help them talk about movies less.

>it's autistic because I'm a newfag who doesn't know what a kino is
>it's stupid because Cred Forums doesn't let me be part of the club
U mad, negroes?

really makes you think

9/10
Expecting to be Castaway with fart jokes with Paul Dano as Tom Hanks and Harry Potter as Wilson.
But it turned out to be something else with Dano bonding with Manny who might or might not be just a figment of his imagination with a surprising twist in the end.

>u mad
>Russled jimmies
You are the eternal newfaggot.

>people who have SEEN THE MOVIE are still hung-up on the question of whether or not Manny was imagined
>even though the ending is very, very clear that he wasn't
>even though it doesn't matter either way

It's a film designed for hipsters. It is a little offensive (dead body, homoerotica, farting), edgy and "arty" as it tries to be surrealistic, while at the same time it features meme actors and nothing that is at all challenging if you're not a complete idiot.
It's basically a film made for those trendy people that can now all say: 'What, too deep for you?' while it's essentially forgetful and mediocre, even while it tries so hard to come over as 'cult' (which I'm sure people were trying and going for from the stage of it's conception on).

Tl;dr It's a pretentious try-hard wannabe surrealist film that is utterly forgetful because it's a superficial product designed by faulty standards and a sad attempt at mixing 'art' and commercialism. Nothing to see here, move along.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

>"Farting is funny!"

Also the 'le twist' was pathetic since it didn't actually make a difference.

It's a stoner masterpiece. Just like Holy Mountain.

...

Saw it just yesterday, it's a masterpiece.

COME HERE LITTLE BOY STOMP STOMP

It's a masterpiece. Captures a lot of the unreported suicides's mindsets well, both in content and in itself as you can see by some people's intentional recoil to its "quirky" elements.

Daniel Radcliffe was really good. Dano was classic. A comfy film.

she's only 5'8. i hope she's wearing 3 inch heels.

>classic dano drinks from a corpse's mouth
>classic dano sticks a cork in a corpse's ass
>classic dano plays with a corpse's boner
>classic dano has a romantic date with a corpse
>classic dano dresses up as his waifu and comes dangerously close to having a drunken kiss with a corpse
>classic dano finally passionately kisses a corpse underwater
>classic dano elopes with a corpse
This movie was odd. 8/10.

Completely relatable and believable main character.

whoaa, what a turbomanlet lol

ending made tears come from my eye and i dont ever cry

It is shit.

Extremely boring and pretentious.
