The Simpsons: >adult animated comedy about family >lazy overweight ignorant father >relatively attractive housewife he doesn't deserve >dumb older son >nerd little sister >smart baby Family Guy: >adult animated comedy about family >lazier, more overweight / ignorant father bordering on complete retard >more relatively attractive housewife he doesn't deserve >dumber older son >nerdier little sister >smarter baby >liberal dog as "voice of reason"
How was it even legal to make Family Guy? It is literally just amped-up Simpsons with shittier humor.
And bart might be dumb academically but he's street smart
Christian Sullivan
Nerd meaning social outcast.
Jayden Lee
>>liberal dog as "voice of reason"
I can never take any criticism that uses this seriously. Brian was made fun of on many occasions. He's not the character everyone takes serious or listens to. His character is that he fancies himself progressive and intellectual. He gets shot down on that a lot.
Nicholas Evans
In almost every episode of Family Guy I've seen he's clearly supposed to be the one who's smarter than everyone and right about shit. Yeah he gets shot down but that's because it's implied that everyone around him is stupid. Maybe the writers got more self-aware about it but not that I've seen.
Lisa plays this role in The Simpsons but it's done more subtly.
Tyler Rivera
the family being the same shit doesn't make it less funny. and it is funny if you're not a miserable prick.
Thomas Gomez
The Flintstones: >adult animated comedy about family >lazy overweight ignorant father >relatively attractive housewife he doesn't deserve >dumb older son >nerd little sister >smart baby The Simpsons: >adult animated comedy about family >lazier, more overweight / ignorant father bordering on complete retard >more relatively attractive housewife he doesn't deserve >dumber older son >nerdier little sister >smarter baby >liberal daughter as "voice of reason"
Half of every episode is "it's just like that time that..." etc etc some ridiculous not funny scenario. It's garbage.
If you're over 18 years old and you laugh at Family Guy it's sad.
Joshua Adams
The Flintstones >takes place in prehistoric times The Simpsons >takes place in present Family Guy >takes place in present
Liam Long
even if this was remotely funny it would get real old real fast.
rick and morty is better than this.
Jacob Anderson
But the day in Flintstones is not really that lazy, just average blue collar in a union lazy, and he's just overweight. The other two are obese. The rest is pure bullshit.
Ethan Reyes
>t. under 18 years old and too far up your own ass to laugh at family guy i feel sorry for you kiddo
Jose Campbell
The Jetsons >takes place in future
Logan Morgan
>Done more subtly Hasn't been that way for a long time
Colton Bell
Family Guy's 30-second gags are a cancer that needs to be purged from comedy, watching peter repeating the same action for 30 seconds is not funny at all.
Levi Hernandez
Meg isn't nerdy and she's also older than Chris.
HAHA FAGGOT
Angel Jackson
Except the Simpsons is really bad now
Brody Powell
Family Guy can still be funny at times.
Caleb Foster
love family guy its funny as phuck
Zachary Wood
American Dad is better than all of those shows.
Owen Flores
Same beer, same... show.
Luis Rodriguez
the only funny part is the last bit
Brody Rivera
Nevermind the fact that it's yet another cutaway gag that relied on shock humor, but it's also one of those cutaways that overstays it's welcome by dragging too long
Luis Diaz
I think the writers have openly admitted they do that shit on purpose cuz they get lazy as far as the main plot of the episode goes. Nothing is worse than those Conway twity cutaways though.
Samuel Nguyen
Used to be. Been shit since season 8
Christian Ward
Brian isn't the voice of reason anymore, he's a dumb lib
Cooper Jackson
>father bordering on complete retard Peter is literally retarded. There was an episode that even confirmed it.
Henry Lopez
It not subtle or nuanced... It just okay.
Robert Jones
Holy shit man, that's an incredible observation! Did you think that up all your own? How did no one see the parallels before?
Logan Cook
Well no shit. The Simpsons has been off the air for, what? 17 years now?
We lucked out, though. Who knows how much of a caricature Lisa would have become had the series gone on longer than ten seasons?
Cooper James
SAME SHOW?!
Nicholas Barnes
>you must be 12
Logan Cooper
>t. retard who'll laugh at anything that moves on a screen
the world feels sorry for you m8
Gavin Cooper
your point >doesn't exist at any point in time
Jose Gonzalez
Well it seems like corporate meddling intervened. Seth McFarlane made a pilot for a show with a sarcastic dog and his idiotic owner. The dog sounded and acted like Brian and the owner acted like Peter. This was broadcasted on cartoon cartoon Friday on CN.
Michael Sanchez
you're looking for the term Dweeb i believe
Leo Long
I like the twitty cutaways
Josiah Clark
you comparing neo-simpsons to family guy? HAHAHAHAA
simpsons started to copy family guy not the other way round
