I'm about to watch season one of Lie To Me

I'm about to watch season one of Lie To Me.
What am I in for?

Lying to him

Is that real?
Does he actually have those tats?

If you like Tim Roth its alright.

I really like him in Rob Roy

Tim Roth is the best part of most things he's in but Lie to Me just gets repetitive and bogged down in its own premise.

He got them while in prison after being caught robbing diners.

shit. it is shit,

It's like House M.D. Sarcastic main who solves mysteries and takes the piss out of everyone. But Tim Roth ain't Hugh Laurie and it also is way dumber, everything is simplistic and they assume the audience is stupid which to be fair was the right assumption to make.

His daughter and his partner were hot.

I watched the first episode and I liked the relationship between Cal and Gillian but the 'Radical Honesty' guy was just irksome and I'm not all in on the new recruit yet.
There was a lot of the over-the-top detailing of body language/facial expressions I'm hoping they'll dial down over the coming episodes and it was all just to set up the concept.
His small segment with his daughter was good, with her showing signs of being able to 'read' people, it was cute.

>tfw started watching for autistic need to understand facial expressions relating to emotion
>tfw stayed for Emily

Good show

Prison episode is best episode

Why's Tim Roth of all people doing MOR TV shows? Isn't TV where you go when you're washed up and can't score significant movie roles anymore?
Don't tell me Tim Roth is washed up, I really like that guy.

You're in for a good first season which treats his ability to tell whos lying as a science.

You're then in for all the rest of the seasons which stem away from the science and make it basically magic.

Pretty comfy overall, I really only enjoyed the first season.

There's too much exposition in the second. Like there's a room full of experts that all know something and one of them will just explain it to the room of already aware people just for our sakes. Should be done better.
Also the whole "he tells lies to get to the truth" thing is a bit too in your face.
She wasn't in the second I was looking forward to her one or two scenes that I imagined she'd get every episode.

Moderately decent performance from Tim Roth but the show is mainly a footnote for Shield fans, as Shawn Ryan (creator of the Shield) oversaw the last season of it and did an episode where he reunited about 90% of the cast for an episode where Billings and Ronnie were serial killer brothers that nearly destroyed Roth's characters name and reputation by coming up with a scheme to make him lose confidence in his human lie detector power. Also, Lem as a pornographer who tricks young men into doing frat/hazing porn......

What.

I used to watch LTM and I fucking love The Shield but I did not know about this episode. Gonna download. Thanks for ruining it btw.

Some good meaty father-daughter content in the third.
Plus I always love a good teen girl killer in television shows (Jennette McCurdy in The Inside, Kacey Rohl in Hannibal).

Is this in the first season?

Turns out this guy from New Girl was the bad guy.

which episode was that? I like downloading random good episodes from shows I don't have the time to watch all of

Basically this, but made the show completely unwatchable

>It's a Cal hunches over and tilts his head episode

Six episodes in and only two episodes with the daughter. I'm not liking this episode-daughter ratio.
