>sci-fi
but thats just space capeshit

lol, this wannabe doesn't know what sci-fi is.

It's really good but it's not.
The sequel is better.

Any movie with Claudia Black is okay in my book, though they killed her off too early IMO

Sequel is more fun and rewatchable, not necessarily better

>any genre I don't like is capeshit

I can only hope Vin Diesel can stop fucking black boipoochie and get back into shape long enough to squeeze out one more Riddick film

They're too different to be comparable tbqh.
I just dig more the space opera quality of Chronicles.

nah

I think it was closer to a sword-and-sorcery movie than a space opera

A Riddick/Dredd crossover has potential desu

That too, for sure. But sword-and-sorcery in space is space opera as well

Sequel was Vinny living out is D&D fantasy

my fave movie. fucking love it

there is absolutely no science involved in PB or sequels

space ships
lasers
different planets

These are things often found in science fiction, believe it or not. The line between sci-fi and fantasy has always been a bit blurry, what, not enough technobabble for you?

But that's not sci fi user, sci fi is something that deals with the products or potential products of scientific advance on human beings, shit that's just set in space yet still focused on adventure/action is science fantasy or space opera (or in pitch blacks case, space horror)

Example of actual sci fi: moon, I robot
Example of space opera: Star Wars, chronicles of riddick

close.

so good

I don't remember a thing about the Riddick films but the games were pure interactive kino.

I just don't understand why they'd make it an FPS. Riddick is like an acrobatic fighter who jumps around and does kung-fu and shit, he's not a fucking space marine. Third-person action/adventure makes more sense

>comic book adaptation (as i know)
>protagonist is daredevil superman in space
>not capeshit

>there is a spaceship, thus it's sci-fi

They were undead but still able to die?

Gotta show off that engine and make people look around

Fucking this.

Hiding in first-person can be rectum-clenchingly tense

chronicles was legitimately good. i hope he makes more riddick movies

nah

that's a flick

They should alternate between space fantasy and monster movie.

literally just finished watching it, pure kino fucking christ

gotta rewatch this and all the riddick movies sometime for some space kino

>Sci Fi has to only have realistic technology.

Are you one of those faggots who starts flame wars about warp drive in star trek?

Oh fuck I completely forgot she was in this movie. And I've been watching farscape too.

Could the Dune Chronicles be considered space capeshit?

The movie Pitch Black was the first entry in the franchise. It wasn't based off a comic book.

And Riddick doesn't have any superpowers. He is stronger than most people but that's it. His eyes were either installed in prison or because of what race he's from.

She's such an underrated actress, it's always a treat to see her in anything

Why didn't toombs take the money?

That's not Dredd or Prometheus

It's pretty good I guess

Butcher Bay was great, Dark Athena not so much.

I'd rather another Riddick game

> not watching Korean monster movies
pleb

shit i was just watching it the other day and the whole movie looks like was shot for 100 grand. still awesome though.

This movie was hot

The first person take downs with the Ulaks and stuff like the screwdriver was sexy af

They're planning one. Diesel says it might start production in 2017. It's going to be called Furia so I imagine they'll actually get to the planet finally.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Chronicles_of_Riddick_(franchise)#Fourth_film

This is almost as good as the movies or the games

That's not pic related

Tho I am a fan of Vinny D

W-what. I didn't know there was an anime.
