Dr Strangelove

Just watched this, I thought it was legitimately really funny.
What does Cred Forums think?
What did the ending mean?

It was awful. I didn't laugh once.

>What did the ending mean?
It's pretty self explanatory...

A really great movie but I imagine it loses something if you have no recollection of the Cold War.

I meant Dr Strangelove suddenly being able to walk.

the resurrection of fascism

>LOL Herman Kahn is so CRAZY
Reddit the movie.

Not really. I was born when the USSR collapsed and I still immensely enjoy Cold War films. Fail Safe for example is perhaps my favorite war film ever.

>Women sense my power, and they seek it out. I don't deny them my power, but I do deny them my essence

What did he mean by this?

Women are the embodiment of Communism.

Unironically pure kino

Good movie. And the inspiration to one of the best game franchises of all time, Fallout.

lads can someone help me

Can anyone identify the first backing track used in this video, starting from a couple of seconds in? That piano song, I recgnise it but can't name it.

I laughed at the vending machine bit. That was it. Need to see it again, maybe?

the satire transcends the dry humor. it was brilliant.

I didn't laugh once, but it made me smile. Still love the film.

What are you doing with your precious bodily fluids OP?

>3/8 games are good, the rest are trash

>One of the best game franchises of all time

Most of the humor is more "ayy I see what they did there" and less laugh out loud funny.

>tfw i saw it in september in theaters

fucking incredible

UHHHH I NO GET Y DEY SAY IT FUNNY, WHY IT FUNNY? I DON'T GET DOC-TOR-STRANE-LOVE

Kubrick hated the jews that were trying to destroy the world

That's an old Chinese belief

Women steal your "power" if you cum in them.

Basically a boner joke.

I think my favorite part of the film is watching the other actors crack up at Sellers playing Strangelove. Great movie.

Most of the humor is very dated

for example the "mineshaft gap" line was probably a killer in the 60s (everything was labeled a "gap" by the media in the 60s regarding the Cold War), but today no one would get it.

>nobody today would get it

I guess if everybody was an historically illiterate 12 year old, then no. But there's a world outside of Cred Forums.

Fail-Safe did it better.

ugh kubes was such a fucking cuckold
>color film been out for YEARS by this movie
>still goes with BLACK on WHITE dirty5milimeter films
disgusto

yes

Peter Sellers was pretty based.

Yep, this.

black and white was far cheaper in the 60s

>Mein Fuhrer I can walk!

What did he mean by this?

Peter Sellers is the original Eddie Murphy.

It's an insult to Peter Sellers to compare him to Eddie Murphy in anyway whatsoever

so he was lowkey a communist? also source

but didnt everyone die at the end? that was alotta bombs going off

what does that even mean ?

1, 2 and...?

And New Vegas maybe?

There was actually such a thing. It referred to the capacity for sheltering important citizens in case of nuclear war, and to my knowledge never went beyond the buzzword stage.

>muh bodily fluid

Is it the tinfoil of that age?

Is it a real urban legend back then or just something made up for this movie?

Sure, but right before then, he was pretty hyped about everything. The more fucked up the situation got, the more he kinda came online.

1, 2 and NV are good

3, 4, Tactics, Brotherhood of Steel and Fallout Shelter are bad

but that's just my opinion tbqh lmao desu senpai senpai onii chan desu *dabs*

Loved it.

>I meant Dr Strangelove suddenly being able to walk.
His time has come.
