Best 3 horror movies of the 2000's in no order (or order if you want)

Best 3 horror movies of the 2000's in no order (or order if you want)

Martyrs
Kill List
The Witch

what's yours, user?

Those, plus possibly Frailty (2001)

rec
session 9
lake mungo

The Wailing
Noroi
A Tale of Two Sisters

>lake mungo
That messed me up. And REC is one of the best found footage movies to come out of that recent trend, too bad the series went to shit later. I never saw the greatness in Session 9 though.

hammer to the kneecaps bump

Halloween 2

This thread is promising. I'd add

Kairo (2001)
May (2002)
Grace (2009)

better than I remember it being. But would still offend Carpenter and whoever made Halloween 2 the original.

also Pulse & New Blood

The Conjuring
It Follows
Dog Soilders

Can't believe no one's posted this yet

>I never saw the greatness in Session 9 though.

I hear ya, but I still loved the movie. I think it was more of the all male cast that made it interesting from the get go for me.

It was a nice change from the generic 28 yr old actors playing high school/college students

>of the 2000's
>lists movies past 2010

>Dog Soilders
I love this movie so much. I've probably seen it atleast 10 times.
IMO it's the best Aliens style movie since Aliens. The werewolves looked amazing too. Genuinely scary and threatening.

>Martyrs
>Kill List
>The Witch

66.6 % shit taste.
33.3 % decent but at this point I'm afraid you are just baiting for approval.

Also are we talking about the last decade or post 2000 in general ?

From the top of my head Noroi, the Descent and As Above so Below were pretty good.

sorry, SINCE 2000 would be better. I'm drunk.

100% shit taste, stop posting at any time

Inland Empire
Kairo
Kill List

I need to watch Pulse again. I remember it being great, and hysterically effective J-horror in the same way Ringu was the first time. But I don't remember the deeper shit about it that makes people bring it up 15 years later as one of the greatest. It's on my October list for sure.

It's mostly good because of the atmosphere, but Cure from the same director is better anyway.

I still need to see that, I've been hearing about it for over a decade now.

>liking Just Fuck My Sound Balance Up: The Movie

the more I think about it the Evil Dead remake is up there. It's insanely good. And dat Jane Levy.

The girl I watch horror movies with is a sperg of some type who gets extremely scared and bent out of shape during horror films.. She even freaked over the hills have eyes. So what is a top English language horror movie that will really fuck her up?

>he hasnt seen Inside

Replace Kill List with The Grudge, and that'd be my top 3. Funny, Kill List would probably come in 4th. Good taste, OP.

I love Wheatley and Kill List is cool, but it's enormously flawed and not the "best"
A Field in England is better.

Inland Empire is probably one of the most unsettling movies to me, it captures being in a dream perfectly well, just like Mulholland Drive, but on steroids.

I think The Invitation is one of the best recent horror films.

Replace Dog Soldiers with Babadook and you got yourself an irredeemably shitty taste in movies, friendo.

It's waaaaay way better than it deserves to be. It's probably my favorite remake from the last decade.

Session 9
Noroi
May
It Follows

All are fantastic.

Gozu
Inland Empire
Noroi

There haven't really been much great horror films to be hones senpai

Inside
Martyrs
Kill List

Can anyone recommend some 'non-fiction' horror films?

Like True Detective season 1 kind of thing

Watch Audition (1999) with subtitles. You won't regret it.

>inb4 no anglo
>inb4 1999

The Loved Ones
Ginger Snaps
The Devils Rejects

Memories of Murder is great. Reminded me a lot of Zodiac.

English films pls

babadook
it follows
cabin fever (the remake)

awful

>love Wheatley and Kill List is cool, but it's enormously flawed and not the "best"
>A Field in England is better.
I'm totally with this user

reminder

if you think The Babadook was shit, you're a pleb

If you think It Follows was good, you're a pleb

this is good shit, but i'd swap Lake Mungo with The VVitch or 28 Days Later

all good, especially The Wailing

lol

>A Field in England is better.
lol na
