Shameless self bump
You're picking terrible comfy Halloween movies.
Trick r' Treat, Halloween 1-5, The Thing, Creepshow, Pumpkinhead, are all maximum comf.
The Witch was so fucking good, was hoping to watch a Half in the Bag on it straight after but they haven't done one ;_;
Why not?
...
Pure Halloweenkino
>go see the new one ot the cinema
Don't. It's shit.
I've got a couple of trilogies I watch
The Apocalypse Trilogy:
The Thing
Prince Of Darkness
In The Mouth Of Madness
Halloween Anthology:
Halloween
Halloween 3
Trick r Treat
Thanks comfy horror movies are exactly what I'm looking for
Seen it about 5 times but might see it again
Alright
Thought I'd start with Trick ´r Treat cause it's been mentioned twice but can't find it anywhere anyone got a link?
nevermind I found a stream
You really need to learn to comfy. Wait til it's dark, turn your lights off, get some hot chocolate, and curl up into a ball on your couch.
>Wait til it's dark
Check it's 20 min till midnight and I live in Sweden so it's super dark
>turn your lights off
Will do
>get some hot chocolate
Will do
>and curl up into a ball on your couch
Will do
Also realised I watched Trick ´r Treat a bunch of years ago with some friends cause I remember the retard bus. Also remember that the movie was real good so gonna watch it again
>tfw already seen all the movies suggested and hate rewatching movies
fuck man, this is the problem with watching horror all year round, i never have anything saved for halloween time.
Have at it. Find something in my folder that you haven't seen. I know your pain. 1/3
2/3
3/3
Reanimator is the goat horror movie, famalamadingdong
This. Also the original fright night and return of the living dead are pure Halloween kino.
The new fright night is also pretty good
>This shitty meme movie still hasn't died off
My friends birthday is today so I'm having some people over to watch the Wailing. I'm hoping it's good, I'm a little intimidated by the runtime
If I were to watch only one episode of Ash vs The Evil Dead what will it be? (The first episode?)
Because I dont want to bother watching the whole series
>waaaah they're talking about one out of like four good horror movies to come out in the last decade in a horror thread
Why even click on the thread?
i've seen probably half or a bit over of those, anything you think really stands out?
was 31 any good? Also i feel like 30 days of night was really underrated, i really liked that movie
The first episode of either season. You should watch the rest though, they are only 30 minutes long.and are all pretty good
Because I wanted to shame anyone who likes this pleb garbage and calls it "patrician horror kino".
...
What is your favorite horror movie to come out in the 2010s
is the vvitch actually scary? Or is it just kind of unsettling creepy?
Not that that isn't fine, i'm just looking to be actually on the edge of my seat scared right now.
Also tryout Last Shift if you haven't, pretty good film
I dont have any.
...
The horror elements are more comical than scary.
I enjoy korean films but it was kind of shit
the chaser was good tho
Hmm ok I just noticed that both seasons have over 98% on rotten tomatoes. Pretty convincing
...
The Thing
Alien
Aliens
Halloween
Halloween 2
Halloween 3
A Nightmare on Elm St
It Follows
The Borderlands
There we go, at least you admit that you have no taste and just want to meme
Without knowing what you've seen, I can't really comment. 31 is Rob Zombie, so if you've seen one, you've seen them all. Watch Masters of Horror if you've never seen it. Series with each "episode" directed by a different horror legend.
The Chaser is a thriller though not a horror. Train to Busan is pretty comfy horror though, at least until the feels start destroying you.
Alien is super comfy.
I've watched Ginger Snaps like 30 times just because my waifu is in it
When she showed up in Hannibal my dick could have cut glass
this
also for some reason i like to watch The Crow on halloween as well.
>Alien is super comfy.
Event Horizon is similar. Also Cube.
Fright night sucks
Depends. Can you relate to the mindset people had in that time period? Surrounded by wilderness. God fearing. Superstitious. Being cast out of a community would spell death?
If so then yes, freaky shit goes on. You will question your sanity and what you have been taught in church. I got a hankering for goat meat after this movie too. Just to make him pay. The dick.
The cube movies are objectively terrible but so much fun
anyone like Troma films?
I watch Poultrygeist every few months or so. Really stupid movie, but I love it for some reason.
Is October truly Cred Forumss comfiest month?
Fucking yes
the vvitch is one of the best films ever. Amazing directorial debut.
absolutely
only time of the year where I marathon movies
If you want to go corny and away from the usual recommendations:
Sleepaway Camp
Bio zombie
Ghost Dad (this one is genuinely bizarre and horrible)
1. Trick 'r treat
2. The houses that october built (underrated!!)
3. Paranorman
4. The nightmare before christmas
5. The haunted mansion
October and December are without a doubt the comfiest months anywhere
The Burning
The Blob
Sleepaway Camp
This.
So Cube is really fun? Its worth checking out?
Guys please tell me all the most fun horror movies to check out.
>VLC
>MP4
>AVI
why is this allowed?
Yeah, really campy but a ton of fun
Nice digits
I was looking at them just when you called.
HOLy fuck thanks for reminding me, I got to see Trick r' Treat again,
I got you
>to shame anyone who likes this pleb garbage and
Neither. Not creepy and not scary. All scenes are so tryhard
The Battery
Joy Ride
Krampus
The House of The Devil
...
this is actually not bad
except the aliens one
Not really. I have batter taste to like anything from the current decade.
Big Bad Wolves
Cub
Holy fuck did pornstar Tori Black time travel?
>was literally debating between staring my spookathon with one of these two movies
>discover this thread
i knew there were reasons to still come to Cred Forums
Watch Rabid
Tonight's a toss up between Suspira, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Sicario cause why the fuck not
Wood still fuck
they only do clickbait movies now
this is the comfiest halloweenkino.
>suspiria
Guys I just had the sudden urge to watch the cable News. That's the most horrific, and comfy.
Them!
This is comfy core af
Pet Sematary my dude.
I wouldn't describe this as a comfy movie though, unless u have a gf to snuggle with 2bh
I'm trying to go through some Hammer horror vampire movies. Just watched The Vampire Lovers which was only really worthwhile for the t&a shots and lesbian scenes with Ingrid Pitt, Twins of Evil is up next.
dat ass stole the whole show of this movie
nice taste senpai. icario was great, suspiria is my favorite horrokino and i'm watching Texas Chainsaw tonight.
Yeah, Trick r' Treat really is a "comfy" (God I hate that meme) Halloween movie. That movie smells like Fall.
Will I enjoy Halloween having been raised on modern horror?
I do love Carpenter's other works.
>hate
Is anything sacred? We are just discussing things that are comfertable and enjoyable to watch
Currently in this years 31 in 31. So far.
1) I Am Not A Serial Killer - really good, but the book is better. Best Christopher Lloyed role in YEARS.
2) Dolls - amazing movie. AMAZING movie. Stuart Gordon tells a crazy assed fairy tale about wizards who make dolls that kill you if you can't experience wonder anymore.
3) Train to Busan - well made, but... eh... I just have no patience for "zombies attack, the whole cast dies, bad end" movies anymore.
4) 100 Bloody Acres - fun and dumb in a Tucker & Dale kind of way, but Australian.
The 'Phantasm' movies. Cant get comfier than this.
my nigga. probably gonna watch them all before I go to bed tonight.
Why?
Watched this lat night, definitely one of the better mummy movies.
Anyone know the name of this QT? (Trick 'r Treat)
>The houses that october built
fuck, i keep by passing that one
Haven't watched it since last year but thought it was pretty shit through and through. Especially the psyko kid who eventually grew up to be a gay pornstar
Also, The Witch was terrible. The script was really cheesy and obvious. The cinematography is great, and that's what everyone likes about they just don't know how to explain it.
Lindsay Lohan ????
nope Britt McKillip
Fucking stellar flick lads. Gonna go through the whole thread and see what looks like I'll enjoy
Bio Zombie is an underrated bad/good movie.
>Sleepaway Camp
isnt the the horror movie about poison?
checked
Both are pretty mediocre imo. I'd recommend Daughters of Darkness. It's not Hammer, but I think it might be what you're looking for.
Watched the first 2 last night. They were great. Am going to polish off the rest today.
How has nobody suggested Salo or Martyrs for this comfy thread
Anyone know if the ninth configuration is good?
trick n treat is really good, the tie in and wrap ups is insane in that movie
and dont have many recommendations OP, im really bad at it but this one always gives me a nice time
Anyone who enjoyed Trick r Treat should seek out Tales of Halloween. Lots of fun.
Thanks for the rec I've been interested in seeing that one and other lesbian vampire movies.
The girl from Dead Like Me.
mfw I realized the neighbour was the bus driver
Dog house looks fun will check out
I see never watched it
>That spoiler
I didnt, hit me like a phat bag of hard candy!
also, its free, its a pretty silly movie, nothing too deep
youtube.com
Look like it would be fun to watch with the m8s. Reminds me of Shawn of the Dead
I don't work on Fridays so I'm going to watch 2-3 movies tonight. Thinking about Frankenstein, Creature from the Black Lagoon, and then something from the 80s
it does has that feel, first time watching it we chose who we would be and who would last the longest since the intro was such a big thing, I got stuck being the gay dude
kek
You and the Suspiria guy have taste.
Please don't watch V. It ruined the series for me. It's on the same tier as MGSV.
I'm so torn on watching Ravager. I could tell it would be shit since I saw a teaser ages ago, but I'm a completionist.
The Audition
The Beyond
Demons
Videodrome
How did you download all these movies w/o being caught by the FBI?
i wanna stick my tongue in thomasins butt
>tfw attracted to Thomasin but don't know if she's legal
>check imdb
>only two years younger than me
hell raiser

I cant think of any other movies atm that are comfy but im pretty sure this is the kino of kino's
Why am I always surprised Christopher Lee was around for so long?
The Guest isn't a Halloween movie but it's set around Halloween and is top tier comfy
Just finished Sleepaway Camp.
That ending... what the fuck man
Why does The Witch have such a bad audience score on RT and IMDB? I always hear such good things about it. Was there some kind of drama or SJW cause surrounding it?
This is really great.
Honestly, the movie was all hype and it failed to deliver.
There's something very, very unsettling about this movie.
anjelica huston's jawline
Plebs can't into period pieces
>tfw saw it a month ago
Fug, wish I waited for comfy halloween time
>not swearing your soul to him so you can fuck qt Thomasin
Recommend more comfy ones like The Cube series and Circle please
He lives somewhere less free.
the rhombus
Lords of Salem
The Black Cat (Fulci)
Reanimator
Dreams in the Witch House
...
These are your typical horror movie fans. I'm sure The Witch seems extremely slow compared to what they're used to--I'm not surprised most of them didn't like it.
That movie RULES
Exam, I guess?
The first Saw
I get in that super comfy Halloween feel by watching old black and white horror movies.
Pic related
make sure you put a fresh tampon in too, so you don't have to stop the movie and change it
Ginger Snaps
The whole trilogy is worth watching every single year
The reason is that there aren't that many witches in the Witch.
...
Bone Tomahawk is good horror. its got kurt russell and Jack from LOST
also, the shrek halloween special "scared shrekless" is maximum comfy
I know, right? This guy is sitting around enjoying himself like a fucking asshole.
The title refers to the girl Thomasin. Since she was in the entire fucking movie, I don't see what your point is.
I love a tale of two sisters
It was sarcasm, you fucking autist.
Wait she was the witch?
Whoever made that should kill themselves.
Halloween 3 is the ultimate halloween core
It's okay if you didn't understand. I'm sure you'll "get" the new Tyler perry movie.
You're an idiot.
Your extra chromosomes are showing.
>Scream 4
Even if you do somewhat "clever" takes on scenes that happened in the first movie, does not mean you deserve to do them in the first place, even with a reason behind it... it's justfication for your retardation, as well as your own laziness.
All the characters did not matter whatsoever. You have "Scream", the original that has characters who are at least kind of recognizable for the most part. Of course, they did not do anything great with them, but the high-school was featured and greatly and it felt like a bigger danger. It also felt more real because of it. There was also raw "emotion", here it all just felt forced.
They didn't even do anything with the webcams or so, none of it ever mattered. Nothing unique about this film. "oh i wanna be famous and i take a direct hit at the instagram people", that was just cringeworthy at best. Much of the dialogue was.
In the first one, all of the "meta" humour was done by one guy, if I remember correctly. It went all out the window here.
Wes Craven's super duper idea of "doing this awesome thing where we reference ourselves, we ARE in the movie" has been so overdone, it's ludicrous. Even a fucking wrestling company back in 1998 did that shit.
You thought the girl was the witch. You're a fucking idiot.
Watched pic related again last night.
Comfy.
>The houses that october built
God i loved that movie when i went to see it on the 31 when it came out.
I dont remember anyone talking about it for some reason, no one liked it online either
these worked for me:
People under the stairs
Rose Red (miniseries)
Fright Night (i actually like both versions)
Lost Boys
one with frat kids and zombies, 80s movie, always forget the name
Just showed a friend this movie today
It's literally a pleb filter.
I think the last one you're referring to is Night of the Creeps
Night of the Creeps?
the fight scene between him and black dude was, what, ten minutes long? That was so dumb lmao
But it's kinda entertaining
oh yeah that's right. great movie
>doing something different is dumb
>realistically showing what a fight scene between 2 stubborn people would look like is dumb
> showing a visual metaphor of how hard it is to enlighten people content with their day to day life is dumb
It was boring and tedious, nonetheless, yes.
maximum comf
Night breed
Brain Dead (Dead alive)
The Beyond
The outer limits
