>its a guest who literally only does ghetto impressions
it's a shame they spend more time shilling than doing improv now.
>tfw they btfo the network censor behind the scenes whenever they get the chance
youtu.be
If Colin actually came up with all of these on the spot I'd be amazed.
leg warmers a best
youtube.com
I don't think the entire thing was scripted but Colin and Ryan have worked together for so long that they'd have bits for situations that they've done a hundred times. That and editing to make the improv look quicker than it was.
these are just old jokes re-purposed.
Who cares, it's funnier than most comedy
Yes but you only see the best takes. I'm assuming as with all improv there were plenty of jokes that went nowhere or fell flat.
Though it's certain that for the film dub game they were shown the clips beforehand but didn't know which would be chosen for the game.
YOU
The DVD had the most hilarious out takes with Ryan butting heads with the censor guy. It's scripted but there's a fair amount of improv leading to these situations
WILL DIE
>tfw not on any streaming services
TODAY
*re-pourposed
>it's a female guest
>it's a singing game
NOPE
Couldn't switch channels quickly enough
There was one who was pretty funny, but I can't remember who it was.
Otherwise, Greg was my favorite rotating member.
Pleb.
Props and Scenes from a Hat were objectively the best. Slaptstick is hard to beat in improv
>It's a "let's pick a hot female from the audience and make them touch our dicks"
Man the early 2000's were a different time, could you imagine trying to get away with that shit now?
Ryan is old, he must just not give a shit anymore.
Also Wayne can now complain since the environment allows it. I tried to get into the new one, but I just can't stand Aisha Tyler. Sounds shallow, but her shrill voice just rubs me the wrong way, and her jokes sound like a train crash.
>even whose line isn't safe
The only time she's entertaining is when she's the butt of Colin's jokes. Like calling her a bitch or trying to molest her.
It's not true Whose Line, we're just lucky that based Ryan is too old to give a shit.
Don't worry I hate that woman with a passion, my fucking god, every time I see her face I start getting angry.
Isn't the whole of Tarzan that he was a British child lost in the jungle? They shouldn't be mad either, he was raised by apes.
>black female host
>MUH race
>WE WUZ KANGZ (literally)
>Wayne Brady acting ghetto
What went wrong
>watch the blooper reels and old show scenes
>It's the Robin Williams episode
Goddamn guys, we had signs, look at how down he looks for the show.
Wayne Brady would sometimes do ghetto acts, but it wasn't the whole act. It was the chemistry, not the jokes that made the show so successful. Like when Drew Cary basically makes fun of him as a minstrel, and he went along with it for the sake of the joke. They had digs back and forth, and actually had some thick skin.
He always looked like that. I'm also certain he'd directly mentioned that he goes a million miles a minute precisely because it stops him from thinking or something along those lines. It was obvious Robin was in a bad way, he was just far too good at distracting us from it the same way he distracted himself.
That was funny though. Fuckin Ryan with that swimming comment!
They'd be even more ass mad if the story was a black baby raised by apes, spoke monkey and swang from trees
Denny? She was a cutie too.
Otherwise Whoopi was pretty good.
This shit was amazing.
Its likely that it was improvised, yea, but chances are there isnt a joke that these guys havent made. in improv, you just have to hit the joke while supporting your scene partner. theres likely no joke that these folks havent touched on, so its not new material, and when youre funny you generally know what will make people laugh, so improv is less about making stuff up and more about cheating the audience into believing that everything youre doing is brand new. it's brand new in the moment, but its not brand new in their heads.
thats why ryan can get away with this joke. aisha didnt want to give it to him, but wayne brady appreciated the joke. still racist, but it's laughably racist and clearly a joke. producers probably had a chat with him later, but since improv is about hitting the joke, they really cant punish him for it.
Why does Greg keep bullying Drew?
OOOOOH AYY DEE AYY DE AYY DEE AYY DEE AYYY...
>IF I DO ONE MORE HOEDOWN, I'LL SLIT MY FUCKING WRISTS
>SLIT MY FUCKIIIIING WRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISTS
They were right when they said angry Ryan just gets better and better.
That's easily the best handled one of these moments I've seen, fist clip I've seen in age where no one tried to milk the moment for fake outrage.
Just perfect- Tyler not taking it serious in the first place, that second dude saying what everyone's thinking- that political moments are always forced, awkward clapter- then Brady setting up that amazing line, and not only conceding it but even getting the audience in on the joke so no one can claim on Twittter/ BuzzFeed/ TheAVClub that "I was there, I swear, it was actually deeply disturbing".
Case study in great comedy.
This clip gave me hope that we might make it out of this identity politicking/ neo-liberal/ SJW/ Reddit/ Tumblr/ alt-right/ Shillary cultural mess with a few good comedians who aren't going to settle for cheap "Yay they validated my Internet ideology" applause.
Harris Wittels' pure comedic ability made me think the same RIP
>WHY UH WHITE MAN GOTTS TO BE KING UH DA JUNGLE?!?
Because Tarzan was the son of a white British person who risked his life building railroads and toilets for ungrateful Africans
He got kidnapped by gorillas as a child
There are plenty of actual black kings in the Tarzan book series. They're stupid and tribal, because that's what actually Africans were like in the 1800s
Tarzan has the advantage of being white and having the ability to move to the USA and England to learn and educate the KANGS UH AFRICA that you're so proud of
This dumb nigress probably has never read anything once she graduated highschool, though.
Holy fuck that was funny.
youtube.com
Honestly laugh every time I watch this. Even if the show is part scripted the funniest bits definitely come from screw ups or just them doing their thing.
who was the best guest 4th seat?
I always liked Jeff, but undoubtedly Greg
Greg
Kathy?
WERE WATCHING ANIMAL PORN
Mostly yes. The key to improve is you come up with a bank of possible jokes/responses that can be altered slightly to fit whatever scenario is given. Do this for a number of years and things just naturally trigger and click together.
Why the fuck haven't they released all the seasons on DVD??
I don't think Ryan has ever given a shit.
>What do you get when you cross a gay man and a Jew?
>A hit Broadway show
THE CAT
I actually like Aisha, she was a good Loveline guest, but I can't get into new Whose Line. She is a part of the problem, but not a major one I think.
>"want to limbo?" at 12:40
MEOW
Watch the bloopers. You can see that they film multiple versions of each game, games are interrupted by the director if the content is deemed unsuitable and you can tell they're edited down for time and pace.
RIP 12medbe
>ywn binge watch all his playlists until 4 in the morning
Obviously we are only seeing the best of the best but they are still the GOATs of the improv game
Greg
youtube.com
thoughts on new host?
Can never reach the levels of chemistry they had with Drew. Also they cant make fun of her as much as they did with Drew
Greg 'the type of gay that's a-ok' Proops
If nothing else I have to give props to Aisha for being self-aware about the meme shit and general stupidity that the Ubisoft E3s are.
>imperialists dindu nuthing !
>pitch us a quick meme
that doesn't sound self aware to me
>ywn a Robin
youtube.com
Did you watch Ubisoft show this year at all? If not, you should.
Aisha looks great for 46 tbqh famu-tachi
>wayne looks the same
>ryan and colin old as fuck
BLACK DON'T CRACK
Ryan and Colin are like 57, Wayne is 44.
>you will never be on wliiaw
youtube.com
colin dyed his hair for whose line
>32:30
That wasn't funny, still laughed like a retard
>justifying colonialism
>it's the current year
I liked Improvaganza. Am I alone?
Mimi looks like Judy Dench
>I consider myself quite a fugal frella!
>One night I was getting freaky
>with my largirlelane
>its a singing game
>with Drew
>Wayne is sitting at the desk not participating
Yeah, no. Going to bed
It's set in India though..
Yes. They do the same shit on tour. It's not even edited that much - they edited mostly to remove edgy content than anything else.
The thing is, it was ABC who really pushed all the singing games. It wasn't a major part of the UK show and the performers hated doing it
Thanks professor for your research can you please analyze the episode the soup Nazi episode of Seinfeld for us?
>its a singing game episode
youtube.com
Imagine the shitstorm if this happened today
There is an entirely improvised art and it is called jazz
youtube.com
I fucking love how quick on the buzzer Drew is when they start ripping on him
It had some great moments and let the other improvs shine beside Colin, Ryan and Wayne
>comedian rapes woman of color on national tv
>ethnic comedian enriches an asians culture
ftfy
>you will never be as alpha as Ryan Stiles
Time to order that helium tank
>Animals think Tarzan forget about them now
>I MEAN AS FRIENDS
kek
i think the new episodes are still funny
>Who? Me?
>I'm a candy girl!
Why?
Where can I get a torrent of this show for real?
Pretty sure I got it off TPB ages ago.
Of course it's improvised. Sex jokes and other low-hanging fruit make up 90% of their material so it's not it's anything groundbreaking.
Jeff is an underrated gem.
He's pretty sexy too
So now that the dust has settled, whose line was it anyway?
YOU
Y O U
Who /wooo/ here?
Dude Ryan fucking kills me.
I miss fat Drew ;_;
Holy shit does she always bring up race. Fuck off
A MOSQUITO CAME UP AND IT BIT, BIT ME
HE TAKE ALL MY BLOOD, CAN'T YOU SEE HOW, SEE?
I'VE HAD A LOT OF BLOOD LOSS...
You are the perfect reflection of the people you complain about.
This. And they edit out the jokes that don't work as well. The actual show is longer.
It's like street magic specials. They keep the footage of the tricks that go over really well. Sometimes a trick doesn't work and they simply edit it out. They probably keep 10% of the footage.
all these savage barbarians coming into our nothing and leaving hospitals and roads and aquaducts. eliminating childhood diseases and shit
you can watch every whose line on cwseed for free
>Colin's wave
>muh sides
Tarzan isn't real, dog...hate to break it to you.
Holy FUCK that's not even the right QUOTE
HOW DO PEOPLE RUIN THINGS SO EASILY
...
I know this feel all too well.
>richard simmons
I was not prepared for that
god the musical numbers were pure brilliance.
Hacking off limbs when they don't make plantation quotas. Raping wives. Selling children overseas. Arbitrary beatings. Enforced illiteracy. Literally making property of human beings. But hey at least they build railroads. That heavy white man's burden.
Do me a favour. Take a look in the mirror and have a good hard think about yourself.
You realize nigs were doing all of that to each other hundreds of years before they started selling their slaves to whites
Except blacks were doing this to their own people long before we ever got there and we abolished it. If you're going to pretend to know history atleast pretend to not be retarded.
fuck drew carey
Man, the new "girlboner" host is just NOT as good as Drew.
>It's the cops!
>gotcha
I've always liked how Wayne takes stuff that could be considered racist by SJWs now as nothing and just rolls with it.
You didn't see the E3 she hosted did you? She used the word "girlboner" like once a minute for the entire thing.
How could one show be so comfy?
original was
not sure about drew carey to present
sound effects is concentrated hilarity
I'm on a 58 video playlist, too comfy
youtube.com
This is my favourite one ever. Just because Drew kept screwing it up and powering through regardless.
Watching random episodes now. Missed this.
Lets watch whose line!
>that spider's fucked up!
How is Wayne Brady so good at singing improvised songs off the cuff?
Bunch of takes until they get a good one.
That, plus different people are just good at different things. Wayne is damn good at the song stuff.
has he always had grey hair?
His family is from the caribbean. Those people cant stop singing.
I mean it's probably natural that they'd think stuff up in advance when it's a recurring segment.
No such thing as alt right and shillary is going down.
I liked it when Rachel Bloom was on the show. Mostly because you just know she'd wanted to be on that show forever.
Kind of wish she was just a regular performer instead of the guest star which the CW kind of shoehorn into some episodes to variable success.
Her singing with Jeff and Wayne.
youtube.com
Her trying to not get date raped by Ryan.
youtube.com
...
Those are honestly my favourite thing of his, you just know he sits down somewhere quiet and spends ages working them out.
You can still do these jokes and everyone be good about it. Sure you'll still have those retards from clickbait town try to nail you against the cross but you can just not pay any attention to them.
However they keep going for peoples jobs so I guess it's getting harder not to ignore all of 5 people outraged over nothing
no comedy show is entirely ad libbed .
whose line is to improv as mock the week is to stand up or vice versa. and on mock the week they dont let people go out with no material. but at the same time they don't object to comedians speaking freely when inspirations comes to them on air. it's probably the same for a lot of shows.
Normies get lost reeee
>ryan fucking tackles the girl
how'd they get away with this?
D A B ???
>You won't see that on Friends.
I didn't know that in the US this was up against Friends for years and wondered why they were always giving them shit.
...
Yes, but they cherry pick the best results & edit them together seamlessly.
the good thing about improv are the bloopers
>new Whose Line has Ryan having the final line in Irish Drinking Song
Other than whose line, what good improv is there? Most of the stuff I like is Radio, like I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue and Just a Minute
Any British panel show
Yikes, she was terrible.
>leaked tax returns
>leaked audio where he says he could rape anybody because he's a celebrity
Trump's candidacy is dead in the water.
lose it every time they fuck up a hoedown
prove it
Perfect parody of a Cred Forums user mirroring the SJWs he loathes so much.
