This is true, the first season gave his and Barry's relationship layers other capeshit shows and movies can't dream of having. Thawne 2 is good too.

Kingpin is good but not amazing.

Fucking Jay Garrick

*helicopter noises*

Zoom was cool too, but they really strained to give him a compelling motivation after they cured his speed cancer.

"see you soon, Flasssssshhhhh"

He was never the villain though

Still fucking incredible they were able to pull the series off. It's great.

what is the reverse of a flash?

hsalf

Why did season 1 Zoom lie to everyone? Couldnt they just work together to get him back to his time?

A Zoom.

He murdered the mother of the only guy who could get him back to the future.

Why though? Why was he trying to kill Flash as a kid? How would that have got him back to his time?

That wasn't zoom.

are you retarded?
He hates The Flash. First he was the biggest fan, then got powers and when psychotic, becoming the perfect foil for Barry. Then when he learned of Barry's identity and when he was from ,he went back to kill him.

So that's why the Flash's reverse keeps losing!
Because he's only his hsalf!

Why did he want to kill him? Why would that get him back to his time?

The thing is, we don't actually know for sure in the show yet.
That's the comic canon, but we don't know if that's how this Professor Zoom works.

Hell, if anything, he acts like some sort of recurring Doctor Who villain who keeps hinting that there's something bigger at play in all of this, but he refuses to say what.

He wanted to kill his mom, to make his life shit, out of spite

I'm pretty sure they've explained that in the show. Season 1 I think

Not him, but the internal logic so far seems to be:

>Wants 2 things
>Kill Barry Allen
>Get back to the future

>Tries to kill Barry as a kid
>Shortly after realizes he fucked up and used up all his remaining god fast force
>Gets stuck in the past, so he trains Barry until he can make him open up a portal in time, so he can return to the future that is Aku

So first time around, he didn't need him, but then he realized he fucked up, and suddenly does.

Aside from that, in the latest episode they seem to have completely abandoned that logic, because all of a sudden that same version of Zoom had plenty of go fast juice remaining to run through time twice, carrying Barry too.

Reverse Flash would be nowhere near as good without the actor though, that guy is fucking great. brilliant casting.

He never wanted to kill Barry, just to fuck up his life. He was supposed to get back to his time after he killed his mom, but fucked up and got stuck. Then kind of developed some affinity for Barry over the years, but still hates him.

When he went back in time, he did it to kill Barry as a kid so he wouldn't have to fight him in the future. By going back in time and disrupting Barry's history, the Flash ceased to exist, which meant he never learned about the speed force and never gained the power to travel back in time to to ruin Barry's life. He wasn't trying to get home, he just didn't know he'd be stranded once he killed her. So he was forced to give Barry his powers so he could also get his powers, giving him the ability to go forward in time. He caused a paradox and was trapped because of it. It is why he can't kill Barry.

That's how it is in the show too.

Killing Barry doesn't solve anything for him though. He could have just said 'im also a speedster, im stuck here can you go fast so I can get back to where im from'

Huh, I forgot about that.
You're right.

When Eobard first goes back in time he goes to the Flash museum and learns that the Flash kills him. He goes crazy and tries to kill the Flash before the Flash can get him, thus causing the Flash to kill him, though the first season hinted heavily towards the Anti-Monitor appearing.

>tfw you will never creampie this chocolate goddess

Fuck you Flash!

im still confused about the alternate universes and traveling in time.

when he changes the past is he creating a different universe?

He went back to kill Barry as a child, but future Barry followed him and rescued his child self. So he decided to kill Barry's mother counting on it being an event so traumatic it'd make Barry not become the Flash, but also left him stranded in the past because without a Flash to become obsessed with, he'd never reproduce the experiment and become a speedster as well. So he stole Harrison Wells' life and engineered Barry's life to preserve the timeline and make him the Flash.

Is she mixed? Doesn't look very black.

>tfw met Grant at a highschool party
>he was a genuinely cool guy
>he almost certainly fucked this bitch

When someone travels back in time and changes something, the timeline is reset from that moment on. When you travel back in time a day or so, the changes are negible. When you travel back in time several years, you change many things.

In a sense, yes, because no matter what you do you can't bring a reset timeline back the way it once was.

he's tall and handsome, what female wouldn't?

So he's not gay?

>Grant not fucking bois instead
I don't know there man

When did it hint that?

Is Wells the most based character on television?

He's got a girlfriend.

John Wesley Shipp is the gay one.

Nice meme.

>John Wesley Shipp is the gay one.
NO DAD WHAT ARE YOU DOING NO!

During the first DC Crisis event, one of the things that tied all the stories together leading up to Barry's sacrifice against the Anti-Monitor was the sky turning red. The newspapers say "Flash vanishes in Crisis - Red Skies Vanish"

It's actually true. He never made a big deal out of it, but he's not in the closet either.

What idiots idea was it to open up s3 with the hero asking his moms killer to kill his mom?

>Grant Gustin is the only straight live-action Flash

It really makes me think.

Because Barry must suffer.

Their lives are linked in history, reverse flash can't have his powers without the flash and flash can't have some of his key victories without reverse flashs dickery

What is the TLDR of Flash S2? I stopped watching after Grodd reappeared and havent since

even her voice annoys me now. They really need to improve her character

yeah but did not that turn of some of the audience?he can suffer without being active part of some actions, that is why many heroes often have their agency limited and instead have things happen to them, its so they can stay pure

>yeah but did not that turn of some of the audience?
lol what r u? a grl on her period?

stop being such a pussy

how hype was that reveal in Season 1 though

youtube.com/watch?v=AqcfN6wfXNs

>Zoom wants the Flash's speed.
>Earth-2's Harrison Wells agrees to help him steal it in exchange for his daughter Jesse
>Joe finds out he has a son, Wally West, who comes to live with them after his mother dies
>Barry finds out about Wells' pact with Zoom and helps him rescue Jesse
>Jay Garrick reveals himself to be Zoom
>Jay's real name is Hunter Zolomon, a psychotic serial killer who became a speedster. He attempted to enhance his powers with a speed drug that instead began killing him, and Barry's speed is the cure
>Zolomon masquerades as a superhero to give people hope in order to take it away because he's a dick
>Zoom kidnaps Wally to force Barry to give him his speed
>Wells reproduces the accident that gave Barry his powers, but Barry ends up trapped inside the Speed Force
>While he's away, Zoom invades Earth-1 with an army of meta-humans, and he also falls in love with Caitlin
>Barry returns from the Speed Force and defeats Zoom's army
>Zoom kills Barry's father Henry and challenges Barry to a race to find out who's the fastest man alive
>It's a ruse so Barry will power a machine that'll destroy the Multiverse
>Barry outsmarts Zoom, who is taken away by Time Wraiths, monsters that prey on those who mess with the timeline
>It turns out Zoom stole Jay Garrick's identity from Henry's doppelganger from Earth-3, who is a speedster as well
>Wells, Jesse and Jay return to Earth-2
>Iris declares her love for Barry, but Barry is so PUNISHED over his father's death he travels back in time and prevents Reverse Flash from killing his mother, creating a whole new timeline
>It turns out he'll lose his memories and powers if he stays in it
>Realizing he can't leave the world without the Flash, Barry lets Reverse Flash go and kill his mother
>Resets the timeline, but full of inconsistencies that he can't fix.

What is next? will he let some kids get raped to keep his timeline?

One can only dream

no, Thawne hates Flash insanely, he wants to destroy everything he loves, but there's some sort of respect between them, after all Barry has been Thawne's idol since forever, to the point that he's the reason Thawne got his powers, and (an interesting dynamic create by the tv show) Barry still holds Thawne as someone who, at one point, was a father figure to him
