Crowe was easily the weakest performance.
I've never seen the play, but I enjoyed it.
I liked the more natural acting/singing performances.
I liked the casting.
I liked the music.
The story was pretty neat.
I can really only imagine theater snobs hating on it.
Like maybe it's out there, but I've yet to see anybody really address any serious flaws other than Crowe's weak vocals.
