Why do people pretend this is a good movie?
Why do people pretend this is a good movie?
because it was directed by a woman
Something to do with the fact that it was.
Why do you think it is not?
if that suit is made for high impact resistance, could you jump from a building with it and survive?
Same reason they think American Sniper is good, but its trash
I enjoyed hurtlocker tho
>could you jump from a building with it and survive?
Depends how high and how you land. Its not going to stop your knees from exploding or your femurs shooting into your body.
No.
Based Bigelow.
It was a 7/10 movie. For some reason, since about 2000, slightly-above average movies are often revered as masterpieces.
No, your organs do not stop being affected by sudden changes in force because you're wearing a suit, if you jump from a building you'll still die even with two of these things on. It's meant to stop shrapnel, not make you invincible.
Same reason why they think Zero Dark Thirty is a good movie.
Bro you posted this thread yesterday too.
It was a sham
they just wanted to cuck Cameron
It had cameos of many famous movie stars and everyone had the chance to pirate it before it was released.
it's made to be resistant to outside force which does not help jack shit when your body is decelerated instantly.
No I didn't.
Because it's an amazing film.
That is not how you daisy chain ieds.
It may have been a good movie, but I've never been able to watch more than 15 minutes of it before extreme inaccuracies ruins it for me.
Name one film without extreme inaccuracies
It would be extremely painful
>tfw to hell and back's inaccuracies were because the studio though the audiences woul never believe a badass of that magnitude existed
Jackass: The Movie
Allow me to explain, first time I tuned in the guy was approaching an ied in an intersection. Somebody drove through the VCP and the guy drew his sidearm and pointed it at the vehicle.
How did he make it through the vcp, in 2005 Iraq, and not get shot to shit?
Another scene he took his suit off to approach the ied. No one would ever do that. That's just a shit idea. Just the way all the military shit was handled was all wrong. To the point where it was both distracting and unwraveling the plot.
Dialogue felt awful and extremely boring after watching generation kill
It got a lot of attention because it was one of the first big films about the Iraq war, which was still going on at the time.
I'd hardly call it a bad movie though, it was a solid B+.
[citation needed]
My dad works for the DPD bomb disposal unit and has a similar suit in the closet. I've always wanted to jump off the roof with it on (2 story house).
I thought it was pretty good
Nothing spectacular but still good
Reminded me of Generation Kill which is never a bad thing
>generation kill is not bad
Oh Lordy
>citation needed
Not that user, but he's right. Falling off of a building is more like a car crash. There's the impact of you in the suit hitting, but also the impact of your organs hitting inside your body. That's the really dangerous one, those big internal injuries.
That being said, don't let me stop you from trying that out. Just stream that shit for us.
Conservation of forces or whatever it's called user
the ground will hit the suit, which will move in contact of your body and then apply the full force it received minus a very small part it absorbed directly to your body, which will then apply it to your internals like bones, organs, etc
Are you implying it is?
Well if it had enough cushioning it could slow your deceleration enough to prevent injury.
I've never seen one in person, but I doubt they have enough padding to prevent injury from jumping off a roof, however.
You'd have better luck jumping onto a mattress.
I bet you the type of nigga who idolises Breaking Bad
Really great movie about how war can be thrilling for the soldiers.
Renner is a cock smoker
No, I'm just the type of nigga that was in Iraq and watching the show is hilariously inaccurate in capturing emotions
so it could survive a moving train?
That's ok, men could never understand this movie
>It's meant to stop shrapnel, not make you invincible.
It's a fucking hard shell. Not a fucking pillow suit.
that's why even a shockwave will kill someone inside the suit without any penetration.
So you're military and you don't think generation kill almost perfectly captured the interaction of marine infantry units? The banter, the homoerotisicm, the singing. That didn't all strike a cord with you?
Real answer
Avatar had people butt hurt, especially autistic republicuck. So they latched on to this propaganda bullshit to make themselves feel better.
>there are people in this thread RIGHT NOW who don't appreciate based bigelows kinetic, visceral adventures with the camera and into the human psyche
Because it's blatant hurrah US war propaganda.
This.
I literally broke up with my American girlfriend because she watched this movie then told me about how good it was.
Looked it up then never talked to her again.
to BTFO Avatar fags at the Oscars
this movie has amazing surround sound btw
Not as good as Inglorious Basterds, but still great.
