>I already did in 92 and 96.

Gonna vote for his wife this year.

>"Mr. President, would you like some peach cobbler?"
>Frank [to camera]: Well, I *do* declare....
>[someone plays the banjo]

I'd take him over Trump or Hillary.

I don't think the Underwood-Clinton thing really holds up. Clinton was wildly popular throughout his presidency, so much so that a massive scandal barely put a dent in his approval ratings. Frank is hanging on by a thread.

>voting Democrat

god no

KEK

I've only seen the first season.

So yes.

he's a southern democrat though
and look at the reforms he implemented
he's basically a Republican

Frank is a Democrat in name only.

>you are entitled to nothing

Is so right-wing that even a Republican couldn't win on that kind of platform. I'm not really sure what his political ideology really is other than "get more power". He hates welfare, has a "strong eat the weak" view of the world, and supports high government spending and a nationalist foreign policy....what is that? Fascism?

so he is bill clinton, in that universe his wife is almost as sexy as hillary

It's not fascism, it's just terrible.

He's an Ayn Rand character, an opportunist. He's whatever he needs to be in order to get power.

Yes because I'd get to see Seth in press cons.

F

you... like Seth??

What is a Clinton.

>Doesn't know what a Conservative Democrat is

Top kek

That's basically Bill Clinton's philosophy in the 90s.

Frank and Bill are centrists, they just are a part of the Democratic party.

Which Cred Forums character do you think would make the best president?

I would. He's the kind of guy that gets shit done.

he's an autistic hard worker who looks like a vampire. what's not to like?

You are aware that Clinton is pro-war and pro military intervention, right? Or did you magically forget?

Pic related.

The Underwood Clinton thing is because a ton of what the Underwoods do are basically Clinton rumors and conspiracy theories rolled made into a tv show.
It is true Frank is nothing like Bill, at least in popularity and outward personality. Clair is very much like Hillary

Claire Underwood is a much better communicator than Hillary is.

Right, but that just makes him yet another liberal internationalist president. He didn't share Frank's total hatred of entitlements (he did scale them down, but only under pressure from a Republican-controlled Congress).

Bartlett is the best choice, easily. Don't think someone like him could actually exist though.

youtube.com/watch?v=P4h0_bz2Qew

Can you imagine a Presidential candidate actually doing this?

>liberal internationalist
that's not what those words mean

I was under the impression that liberal internationalism was all about intervening in sovereign states to promote liberal ideology ("spread democracy") and to help solve humanitarian crises.

No. He would just scheme around for half the day and then talk about his scheming to an audience that doesnt exist. Plus in real life it would go something like this
>The President was caught pissing on the grave of his father today by some random person with a phone who wasnt supposed to be there
>Audio leaked today of the president going into a long rant about the nature of power and then seemingly crushing an insect to complete a metaphor
>Questions continue to be raised over whether or not Sony is paying the President to offer free advertising to its newest products in speeches

Kek that is true
I cant imagine Clair saying Pokemon go to the polls

it's not
that's neoconversatism and interventionism

liberal internationalism is about the solidarity of the working class throughout different countries

>Democrat

No.

>Clinton was wildly popular throughout his presidency, so much so that a massive scandal barely put a dent in his approval ratings.

The guy supported islamists in europe and waged a war on their side against europeans, just for the media to forget his fucking arround with levinsky.

youtube.com/watch?v=M2rTafbQepg

A male Hillary Clinton?

If I had to choose a democrat I would prefer pic related.

That would be fucking glorious though

>tfw this election year has been more interesting than any of the political scheming and intrigues shown in HoC

Pretty funny that reality really is stranger than fiction.

He's too fat to be a vampire, Doug looks and sounds more like a vampire.

>the scenario Wag the Dog was based on

reality really is stranger than fiction

There would have been a good relationship between the USA and muslim countries if it weren't for their jews forcing them into an alliance with Israel and its crimes.

>got rid of cuck Walker
>reformed education
>friends with President Pickle
>AmericaWorks

Of course I would.

>liberal internationalism is about the solidarity of the working class throughout different countries

You're thinking of socialist internationalism. Liberal internationalism is about the promotion of liberalism (as in classical liberalism and the neoliberal international order).

the-american-interest.com/2010/04/01/liberal-internationalism-the-twilight-of-a-dream/

Better than Hillary or Trump that's for certain. He might be rotten to the core, but at least he won't tank the god damn country.

interesting, thanks

>He's an (((Ayn Rand))) character
Her books make quite clear that she didn't espouse or admire this.

>Now let me define the difference between economic power and political power: economic power is exercised by means of a positive, by offering men a reward, an incentive, a payment, a value; political power is exercised by means of a negative, by the threat of punishment, injury, imprisonment, destruction. The businessman’s tool is values; the bureaucrat’s tool is fear.

It might not be entirely clear from this paragraph, but she did not admire the latter sort of power.

>cutting entitlements
>trying to make peace with Russia

Yeah, probably.

Not even the best one from that show

Did anyone else love season 4? I can see why people would really like season 1, but coming form the UK version, I found the US version rather inferior. Season 4 was the first time I thought it was hitting its stride.

same

I could barely finish season 1.

Kate mara a shit.

I thought S2 would get better after she died but somehow it got worse.

Never watched anymore. Shit boring show.

How did "America Works" even operate

I know they had infrastructure (which I assumed was something like FDR's new deal), and military which is easier to figure out, put what was the private part of it? Black cook guy got an AmWorks job at a restaurant, was the government subsidising private companies?

>Kate mara a shit.
At least she's fit

>Never watched anymore. Shit boring show.
I'd say watch the fourth season, but it probably isn't worth it if you hate it that much. Season 3 was good when it came to Stamper though, I'll give it that. I actually really like the Stamper in this show, he's much more fleshed out than the UK character, who I still liked anyway.

Pleb.

Its so fucking boring. My favorite show is Mad Men and everyone says thats boring. At least I cared about *some* of the characters in Mad Men.

trying to get other people "into" a show is giving them undue importance. You need to get out more.

>Its so fucking boring.
>My favorite show is Mad Men
>You need to get out more.
Is this guy the full package or what?

yes

Jesus, what a fucking pleb. Get the fuck out of this board you tourist.

...

Jesus christ, what is this shit?

What if HoC was like my animes

who's that supposed to be on the top left?

>has nothing to say besides green text maymays and insults

you guys need to get out more if HoC is even in your top 20 tv shows.

How could going out change my top 20 TV shows?

...

Dexter
>tough on crime
>works in law enforcement
>good father
>goes to church
>always prepared

Almost anyone would appreciate this honesty irl, but the problem is that they wouldn't hear the speech. They'd see selected bits of it on the news and, above all, headlines. And " 'I screwed you over', says candidate so and so" circulating all over social media doesn't really invoke the same reaction as this clip does.

Original Frank. From the Brit show.

Quite apt really.

House of Cards US is anime tier in comparison to the original trilogy

Thanks anons.

Third season sucked, m8.

the music is perfect
youtube.com/watch?v=Y_3cyUDOoAA

Is he even a good president in the show?
Seems like the country is in the shitter and he's wildly unpopular. His willingness to do anything to grab power feels meaningless if he's incompetent when he finally gets it.

lmao remy wtf

I think bill clinton in a interview said that the shit happening in the show are 90% accurate

>things a pleb would say.

Come on, it was clearly inferior to the previous seasons.

Claire is a god damn idiot. So many public gaffes.

It's inferior, but it's not terrible either. The worst bit was having to watch the sex scenes of the 50 year old.

That's not really flattering, considering virtually action by Urqhart was ethical.

>but it's not terrible either.
I said it sucked, not terrible. Maybe that was a hyperbole, but the conflict Urqhart faced was not as compelling as becoming PM, or defeating the King.

>Don't think someone like him could actually exist though
>who is jimmy carter

kek

Frank and Mechum would have kickass powersuits that "interface" with eachother

It's the small details that do it.

Like some programs EU countries implemented after 2008-09 crisis. Employer takes on employees but can temporarily pay them below minimum wage, government pays the rest. Cheaper than welfare, but gives companies no incentive to give full contracts to lower wage employees

America Works is socialist as fuck, you kidding e?

Would you vote for him?

>Hillary Clinton's criminal behavior
>combined with Trump's ego
>plus a tiny bit of Obama's job plan
no thanks

I'd vote for Doug 2bh

>defeating the King

That scene where he crushes the King's entire life in about 2 minutes was gold

Holy shit, that's Agent Coulson

Government spending isn't inherently socialist. Regimes that have historically been violently opposed to socialism/communism-Nazi Germany, Imperial Japan, the United States from 1930 to 1991-have had no problem with major public works programs to help boost employment.

>you are entitled to nothing
>every american is entitled to a job
He is inconsistent and disorienting as a deliberate power strategy
Nothing is "inherently socialist" except for actual worker ownership of the means of production. The fluidity of "socialism"s meaning is a major area of narrative control/power and this really illustrates the sort of game he's playing

Mah nigga.

>Kirkman 2020

In Kiefer we trust.

His thing was anti entitlements in the form of free money and social security for no work. But that every American ought to have a job. Depends on how you wanna define or use the word "entitlement". Basically you're entitled to pay for work if you're willing to work. But you aren't entitled to money for nothing.

I'de vote for Bauer, Kirkman is a SJW pussy

No, but I'd vote for you.

>I'd take him over Trump or Hillary.
He's only the smartest man in the room when the plot demands it, and made several poor decisions on his way to the top.

His job creations program was pyrrhic and came at the cost of gutting FEMA, he is incapable of understanding women which is frequently his undoing, and he severely underestimated Doug Stamper, one of the most loyal men you'd never want to cross in your life.

He was a good Speaker like (but not as good as) LBJ, but faltered harder as a legacy builder because he had nothing personally driving him when it came to domestic policy.

And for a South Carolinian who spent his *formative* years at the Citadel, he speaks suspiciously like a Georgian.

Less of a psychopath then the current choices.

Sure.

That's a fucking welfare state, not socialism.

>fucking welfare state
> full employment

go back to school

I was talking about the entitlements you shit for brains. Get some reading comprehension.

>He hates welfare
>Implying AmWorks isn't FDR style socialist welfare
He may not actually back any left policies, but he's definitely implementing them.

Welfare is capitalist social democracy. is the only other person in this thread who actually knows what socialism is.

makes me wonder if underfoot is good at majong.

Last one is so good.

>thinking there's a difference between "le parties"

(((THEY))) are all fundamentalists.

>voting for a criminal democrat

Of course I am afterall #WithHer

>He's an Ayn Rand character, an opportunist.
Bullshit.
He's a Nietzschean character, not an Ayn Rand character. Being right wing and a Ubermesch does not make you an Ayn Rand character.

Clinton kills Bill to win re-election.
Claire kills Francis to win re-election.

Where are you from if I may ask?

They are called Blue Dog Dems

>Democrat

Absolutely.

Yes, he's so comfy.
