In two decades of making South Park, they have not changed (i.e. improved) their work ethic in the slightest bit. They've always cranked out episodes in a week on razor thin deadlines.

It's what they fucking do. There is absolutely zero quality control and it somehow works. I don't think even they know what they're doing anymore; giving them more time to overthink it probably just stresses them out. They're nothing short of geniuses - frantic disorganized geniuses.

They were only able to pull off the bullshit deadlines in the mid 200s when the rendering time for a scene decreased dramatically, older episodes were made on a normal animated show schedule.

They've admitted to just procrastinating and ruining jokes by overthinking them.

Last 2 episode's preview clips ended up in the episode. The new national anthem was either a special case or they simply thought of a better joke (same anthem but kneeling or sitting is okay) so they rewrote it
