Holy shit, I remember seeing that guy's videos and his demonstrations of how he assembled horror vignettes with a handful of shit from Home Depot and a camera. Can't believe he got a feature, sort of think that they maybe shouldn't have based a whole fucking feature on the effect alone.

I'de argue they played around with setting a creepy atmosphere. The only two times I think they did it right was with the mom seeing it in the neighbor's living room and at the police station.
