What are some similar Trek episodes? Any series.

Ship in a Bottle

TNG: Frame of Mind
VOY: The Voyager Conspiracy, Course: Oblivion, Renaissance Man, Latent Image

Why haven't you watched the shows all the way through?

definitely the best Miles episode

I watched TNG and DS9 when I was a kid. Now I'm going back and watching selected episodes. I think I will watch all of DS9 starting with season 3 premiere for that based Dominion War.

Hard Time?

I watched episodes of DS9 here and there when I was young. Finally decided to watch it all the way through a month ago.

Just finished S5. Still 40 episodes left. GOAT star trek show tbd farm

I like the one where his wife gets possessed by a holy demon and becomes a happy and fun-loving person, so he turns Deep Space Nine into a MURDER MOI WOIFE WID LITNIN' MACHINE and frames Rom for it

nowhere near as good, and it bugs me that it's completely forgotten about in the next episode

I don't give a fuck what treatment Bashir gave him, that's something that should have affected his character throughout the entire series. 20 years imprisonment isn't something you get over in one goddamn episode

kek

That episode where he is locked up in a virtual prison for decades, I saw it for the first time last week and it pissed me off to no end. Something like that would break a person, and he almost killed himself but the very next episode he's back to his usual self. I was always surprised to hear about the episode because I've seen most of the episode and something that heavy should have carried over into multiple episodes or seasons instead of it getting brushed aside like your typical storyline.

I mean it's still a great episode, but it loses a lot of the impact when it's literally never mentioned ever again.

> I've seen most of the episode

Meant to say I've seen most of the episodes, not that single episode.

>I mean it's still a great episode, but it loses a lot of the impact when it's literally never mentioned ever again.
That happens a lot in Star Trek

Jesus christ, it's Harry Kim all over again

>That happens a lot in Star Trek
but it's especially glaring in DS9, which is far more serialized than other Trek show

Miles was Harry Kim before Harry Kim

...

>Dukat
>Garak
>Wayoun
>Fontaine
>Quark and Odo banter
>O'Brian and Bashir broship
>Siskos Duty vs Ethics dilemmas
>Nogs arc
>Klingon hijinks
>"Brunt, FCA"

And so on, and so on.

They're killed and replaced every time they use the transporter though

That's a theory

Not true, if it were then they could just make clones of data, plus theres the episode with reg getting attacked whilst transporting

Yeah but this one got time radiationed to death then his corpse was destroyed along with DS9 and then the timeline he was in got aborted.

That's worth like 3 or 4 goes in a transporter at least.

Essential O'Brien must suffer-core:

TNG:

Data's Day
Power Play
Rascals

DS9:

The Storyteller
Armageddon Game
Whispers
Paradise
Tribunal
Destiny
Visionary
Hard Time
Looking for par'Mach in All the Wrong Places
The Assignment
Honor Among Thieves
Time's Orphan

>Time's Orphan
>essential
Wew cadet.

You forgot Damar.

>Dukat: Yeah, that’s the Major, with the command red. I’ve got to use some YamokYaks, just in case I start kissing her. You know I’m automatically attracted to Bajorans-- I just start kissing them. It’s like a quantum magnet. I just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a Gul, they let you do it. You can do anything.

>Damar: Whatever you want, sir.

>Dukat: Grab them by the ridges. You can do anything.

>Damar Kanar rehab arc
DS9 has the best characters of Trek.

...

If you're referring to a "people are acting strange and creepy and it's up to the protagonist to figure out what happened"-type of episode I recommend:

Future Imperfect (TNG)
Schisms (TNG)
Violations (TNG)
Frame of Mind (TNG)
Parallels (TNG)
Non Sequitur (VOY)

if you're just looking for another "O'Brien goes through hell"-episode... well, there's at least one in every season of DS9.

>The treasure hunt episode

I refuse to continue on my trek journey with DS9, Voyager and Enterprise since theyre not on bluray. I'll wait forever

Not a good episode but a prime example of the universe punching O'Brien in the face

Enterprise is on bluray now

I've watched Beyond today and was surprised at how not shit it was. The ebin twist at the end came a bit out of left field (or maybe I didn't pay attention)h, but the ending was very satifsying and with a proper ST message and some depth. Characters interactions were breddy nice, even Uhura wasn't annoying, qt ayylmao girl that Scottie adopts had a nice character arc too. References to old serials didn't feel too in your face (well t b h after the turdiest turd that ever were to turd that was the second movie and its pathetic attempt at pandering and """""reimagining"""""" that's not too hard to accomplish).
Would rewatch, hope Pegg gets to write another one.

DS9 is the undisputed king of elder god level supporting characters.

Not even LOST came nearly as close with it's own huge cast.

I'm pretty sure, the whole Krall-twist would've played out a lot differently if the studio hadn't forced them to include another "awesum villain who will stop at nothing to get his revenge for whatever!!!"

>it's a those darn kids are up to making their usual mischief again at the shopping mall in outer space episode (which by the way has a "captain")

Holy shit, season 5 is goat trek season.

I prefer season 4

I know it's not a Miles episode, but The Visitor is feels galore.

The federation is very progressive, they let negros "captain" things that don't move.

The best of DS9 is 6, and the best of the movies is 6, therefore 6 is the golden Trek number. What have you been watching that's put these heretical thoughts in your head, my child motherfucka?

>the best of the movies is 6
@_@ if your favorite trek movie is Wrath of Kahn your opinion is invalid

wrong, best season is 4, best movie is 4

Kirk, Spock & McCoy saving the whales is unadulterated kino

>le meme of shout
The most overrated Star Trek anything and single-handedly responsible for killing the series by being too popular among normies

update the wikis with all the date of deaths

Memory Alpha is pretty based. Slightly autistic, but nowhere near Wookieepedia.

damar is also great.
but i hate fontaine and nog.
fontaine episodes are so annyoing, always this american culture shit in science fiction shows and movies, so onesided.

What about "The Wounded"?
youtube.com/watch?v=RJudJ9S579A

Daily reminder that Captain Maxwell inspired loyalty in every member of his crew by honestly caring about them and socialising with them as equals, he was a master in the art of interstellar battle and was completely holding his own against the flagship of the Federation, he fought for the Federation with everything he had, and Picard railroaded him to maintain peace with the traitorous, warmongering spoonheads.

Captain Benjamin "Maximum Spoonhead Casualties" Maxwell was a hero and did nothing wrong.

>It's a conspiracy episode
Will TNG stop being shit now? When I was a teenager I watched it in a loop, afterwards I burned out and I'd only watch my favourites, now I'm forcing myself to watch every episode and season 1 being shit isn't a meme at all.

I'm even going to watch Shades of Grey again which I haven't done since my first or second time.

Did Shatner show up and say this causality was a horrible mistake and undo the last n movies? That's literally the only thing that would get me to watch another NuTrek joint

Season 1 is shit but it's comfy shit, season 2 is better but still kinda bad

Season 3 is when Michael Piller takes over and makes the show good

Holy shit guys, this alien-bug-possessed decrepit old Admiral just threw Geordi through a fucking solid metal door. How can a parasite make him 50,000 times stronger? Why is Geordi not paste? These doors are designed to hold if the room decompresses, that should not be possible.

That feels like a long way away from here

Why did TNG never do a mirror universe episode?

Yesterday's Enterprise is better than any Mirror episode

But to answer your question TNG was under quite a bit of scrutiny at the time from fans of the original series. They probably didn't want to look like they were copying TOS too much, and instead do their own thing

The other shows didn't have to worry about that

ok niggas I just found a 1080p x265 rip of enterprise and am downloading, gonna give that shitpile another try just to see something new that's more or less in the old star trek spirit before the new show disappoints the shit out of me (hope not tho)

Garak wants you to give him a completely heterosexual neck rub. How do you respond?

I'd rather keep my distance from a Cardassian spy/assassin

I don't. There's no such thing as a heterosexual neck rub. Those spoonheads just want to trick you into believing such a thing exists.

Yeah it helps they made Memory Beta as a containment board for all that EU and fanfic bullshit

The first season after it gets past the early character cringey stuff and the season after the xindi arc are both good star trek.

>Slightly autistic
What else do you expect from a science fiction trivia encyclopedia ?
A slightly autistic person is exactly what is needed to keep that site complete and without errors.

agreed.
everything except for Nog.
Nog >>>>>>> robin >>>>> westley

True. Sadly, Memory Beta is indeed one of the worst wikis ever. Second only to Memory Alfa
