Want to shake things up? Make the space Nazis the next enemy in the new Trek series and make them the villains they were in Chain of Command and DS9. Go hard on the torture and genocide.
The twist is the Klingons joining the Federation at the end to defeat them.
Won't happen, of course, since they the studio isn't aiming for fans with knowledge of lore, but they were such well drawn villains why fuck around with a new species? Go with an established enemy, like all genre movies do these days.
Ethan Young
Cardassians have already been completely trounced and destroyed though, only way they were a real threat after losing the cardassian-fed war was because of the Dominion.
Also it would literally just be a retreading of DS9 but worse because no one could out-villain Dukat.
Ryder Allen
>Klingons join the Federation >10 years before TOS Did you think before you typed this out and tried to claim to know the lore?
Daniel Jenkins
I wrote that incorrectly.
I meant the new movies, not the new series.
Chase Young
I meant the movie series, sorry.
Joshua Bailey
Are you writing from 20 years ago? You just described what happened at the end of Next Gen and in DS9.
For the record, I think the prophets should have ruled all matter beings. Fucking filthy scum with bodies. Only energy is pure.
Jason Harris
...
Humans were the nazis.
...
A perfect race of socialist supermen...nazis in space.
Hunter James
Fair deuce. Could be interesting, but they'll probably just go with borg, far more obvious and recognizable for the plebs.
Sebastian Hughes
Prime Directive couldn't be a more antithetical notion to Nazis.
Jaxson Parker
Yeah, a diverse race of mixed humanity and alien and women and Commander Show Me Your Sexual Organs Supermen. That's for sure the most Nazi thing I can think of.
Has the election broken your brain you stupid Cred Forumstard? OR are you just too high to function?
Eli Phillips
Better bring in Q in that case.
Austin Lopez
>implying humans were Nazis Didn't you read the threads on Cred Forums? Nazis weren't real, they're just a hoax.
Wyatt Jenkins
>tfw finish DS9
Help me, all i have left is voyager, enterprise, and first 2 seasons of TNG except encounter at far point (everyone said skip first 2 seasons) and the movies.
Kevin Peterson
>(everyone said skip first 2 seasons) I never said this.
I said skip them if you can't stand them, but you should have at least tried them first.
Parker Allen
Should i watch the movies fist or watch the 2 seasons first?
Austin Myers
The TOS movies are great, watch 'em.
Skip the TNG and JJ movies.
Dominic Gutierrez
enterprise is not nearly as bad people say, it certainly isnt "good" they way TNG or DS9 are, but its not bad. It has some individual episodes that are quite good. Its just the overall series doesnt reach as high as TNG or DS9.
Dominic Jackson
did bajor ever join the federation?
Ethan Nelson
In the novels (winking smiley face).
Gabriel Ramirez
>Space Nazis.
Wasn't Cardassia supposed to be Israel and Bajoran's Palestine?
Hence the whole dilemma of the Bajorans engaging in terrorism for their liberation, which only results in further Cardassian repression?
Anthony Harris
Space Muslims would be irrelevant except for the fact that their "religion" is completely verifiable.
Brayden Sullivan
>space muslims
More like space Jews.
Muh six gorillion!
Oy vey, remember Gallitep!
David Richardson
Even so it was inevitable once the dominion were no longer a threat. They were one last negotiation from joining when Sisko advised them not to join because of the dominion and the threat they would pose to bajor.
Dominic Watson
The jews behind it see themselves as victims, they also delude themselves into thinking they have any right to take palastine as theirs.
You are right but the jews are so fucked in the head they think the Palestinians are 'invaders'.
John Mitchell
There are some really good moments in the first two seasons of TNG, even though some of them may not make sense. "Contagion" should not be missed.
