I liked it better when each episode was it's own little story and had somewhat of a resolution at the end. The show takes itself way too seriously now and has gotten preachy as fuck. It's been a gradual change over many years, but its a direct result of public opinion moving from "This is a gross disgusting show. I don't want my children watching it," to , "Oh wow! South Park is actually a really great social commentary!"

It's my opinion that the stand along episodic format works better for comedic cartoons. If they can no longer come up with ideas they should have just let the show come to an end. Instead we now have this preachy try-hard wanna be "drama" cartoon series that is only still around because Comedy Central can use it as "bait" in the hopes viewers will stick around for their ultra-liberal Daily Show indoctrination programming.

The last season was as dull and stretched as this one has been, and the ending to that season was extremely unsatisfying. You would have expected such a drawn out season to play into the next season, but the only crossover to this season was Garrison being Trump.

The reason people are upset by this is because, despite some niggers saying the opposite, people have been enjoying South Park until the last season. Their writing was above average in the ocean of shit we swim in these days, and now they too have submerged themselves into the filth.
