Kino is German for movie and probably in other languages too and even if it doesn't mean movie it's generally something related to movies like movie theatre.

I thought it was in German but apparently in it it's movie theatre and it's the same in Russian, it means movie theatre. Movie in Russian is фильм "fil'm". Though maybe there are certain instances you can use kino for movie.
Kino is short for kinofilm and kinoteatr, so can either mean a movie theater or a movie.
Fun fact: it's also a word in Polish. Other slavic langauges too probably.
