I don't think Sin City 2 was bad but I feel like there's a lot of things missing.

Jessica Alba in this film is arguably the hottest woman who has ever existed.

Reason?

>stripper who doesn't strip
>stripper who doesn't even wear a thong

Well *huffs* im sorry *puffs* to hea- *collapses*

It wasnt that great but I did like JG Levitt's arc though.

>tfw no qt loli pen friend

I loved the scene in the first one when Marv was dragging a guy to death with his car and growled, "I don't know about you, but I'm havin' a ball!"

>XDD killing people is fun XDD
top edge

i liked it.

Honestly after the four years or so with no progress, I just dropped my hype. Dropped the thought of the project entirely, really. Then suddenly six years later, it gets a few trailers and a weak ass later summer release. Didn't even play in my local movie house, had to wait for the DVD screener.

And it was disappointing. Everyone behaving out of character, weird out of sequence structure showing past and future. No memorable lines or scenes like the first one. Recasting Clive Owen - as much as I love Josh Brolin - was dumb and didn't make sense even in the story context. Too much focus on JGL's boring wraparound story. Really, REALLY bad greenscreens and CGI which is embarrassing considering how much time had passed since the first. Which still looks great to this day.

The original Sin City is a classic though. One of my favorites back in high school, snuck into it more than once and abused the DVD.

>Worth killing for. Worth dying for. Worth going to hell for.
>Amen.

My favorite part about the first one was the opening, with Hartigan finding Rourke and Nancy down at the docks. I'd love for a whole movie like that, about two company men detectives, with heavy narration from Michael Madsen, whose one of the cops. It's always night time and rainy out. Slugging through the underworld and a huge tangled up conspiracy involving disappearing little kids.

I watched it when I was a little kid. I still have no idea what Sin City was about.

All I know is I waited a decade and I still don't know what became of it.

He not only ate their bodies, he ate their souls....and I joined in the eating.

>was dumb and didn't make sense even in the story context
you know a dame to kill for is a prequal yeah? and that dwight has a new face in the sequal, which is mentioned. it is why miho and the girls didn't recognize him.
so although I prefer clive owen myself it does make sense.

also there are memorable lines, well specifically from marv.
"I gave chase, it was practically my civic duty" or" what a damn fine coat it is, someone must have paid a fortune for it"

It is not as good as sin city but still an ok film.

Can I come too?

Sin City is a shit movie.

Carla Gugino's tits make it at least a 6/10.

lol

>asian_all_his_optimism_gone.jpg

my waifu is pure

sucks yours is a slut

I took some slut to watch the original sin city at the kinoplex and then fucked her at my workplace on the sofa afterward. Good memories.

Jessica Alba with a crossbow. although her dancing scenes did make up for it.

I thought it was alright except for the horrible Jessica Alba story.

Sin City 2 is great m8

They should have done "Hell and Back" instead or written the Roark assassination story better.

It was kinda boring.

You haven't proven him wrong.

>Jessica Alba with a crossbow

>tfw she fires 3 bolts within 10 seconds

How did she do it

Didn't even know there was a Sin City 2 t b h f a m.

goddamn, I was hyped as fuck for this. Sin City was still a thing, and the teaser trailer is to this day one of the radest I've ever seen.
Then I saw it...
Outside of few stylized scenes and some wackyness it was surprisingly lame, maybe even cringy.

>you know a dame to kill for is a prequal yeah
sort of
Bruce Willis character was already dead

>Bruce Willis character was already dead
doesn't matter because ghost bruce willis is a made up story, I think

You have to admit listenting to Samuel L. Jackson rant about eggs is gold

samuel was the only legitimately good thing in that movie

Is A Dame to Kill for even worth watching?

Yeah you're right
I think except for Nancy's last Dance the stories were prequels, and they added the last one, and worst one, in to tie up loose ends of the first one. Ignoring the fact that Marv is dead. But maybe thats what the graphic novel does aswell, havent read it

Dunno, Nazi ScarJo made my weewee hard.

checkd

>sofa
Did you tell her it was a porn audition?

As far as nazi dominatrix go, I find Julia Dietze in Iron Sky hotter.

Only one of the stories was from the original graphic novels. The others were written just for the movie, and they were dumb.

Kek no, it was just a sofa we had next to the lunch room. The movie was better than the sex tbqh

Which one was from the graphic novels?

Awful film but you're spot on, user!

She turned out pretty darn okay too.
It's Alexa Vega's little sister btw.

"A Dame to Kill For". It was released as the second Sin City trade paperback after "The HArd Goodbye".

i really liked this movie, this level of goofyness is too rare.

...

>when you take out his weapons both of them

Certainly loses a lot of its magic when seen in colour.

>dude rapists should be castrated lmao
fucking shit movie

What a coincidence

I remembered Sin City being pretty good, but i watched it like 10 years ago when i was still 15 or something.

Recently, after reading Roger Eberts 4/4 review of the film i rewatched it, but i really couldn't get into it. The characters weren't interesting, the story about that dude who fucked Goldie was just gore shit, really the only value i could see in it was how stylized it is. Visually it just looks great, like a comic book come to life, but in regards to the actual stories and characters it blew. That being said i got bored after the story i just mentioned and stopped watching, maybe the stories after that are better, i only remember them faintly, but i actually don't think they're that much better.

can we agree the gambler story was the only one worth while in the second movie?
