you might have a serious gripe but as a pleb I am not much familiar with the transformers universe though i do admit that starscream stabbing megatron in the back and usurping him would have been nice

I remember when I saw 1 and I thought "well they just made it quick and fluid for the first one but I can't wait to see the Decepticons get some decent characterisation next film, see them hanging out together, see how Starscream wants to be leader, it'll be so fun!"

I semi-unironically like Transformers 3, I think it's Bay's crowning achievement in big dumb action.

I still really like the first transformers. Megatron was actually threatening and He kicked the shit out of Prime. He then spends the rest of the series getting fucking owned by Optimus.

Sentinel deserved it. He betrayed everything he stood for just to have a shot of rebuilding Cybertron and tossed any morals he had before the war. Optimus looked up to him like a father figure, hell he's the one that taught Optimus "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings". And then he makes a deal with one of the most insane bots on the planet just to "give Cybertron a chance". Sure its admirable and a good cause, but its like handing Hitler the plans for the atomic bomb and being like "Well, I just wanted to make sure that humans would live".

When Optimus says "You didn't betray me, you betrayed yourself", its true. He betrayed every lesson, every ideal, every thought he ever gave just to let an innocent planet die. Why wouldn't Prime want Sentinel dead?
