Walking Dead. I'm still waiting for the new season. I'm a masochist.

this. it's shit but I'm so fucking hype. I mainly watch for
>maggie
>rick's weird facial expressions
>maggie
>abraham and eugene
>maggie

Bored. I know, I'm a pleb. Still forced myself to finish.

maggie gonna be a widow soon
preggo widow

Why do you force yourself to finish shows? Like there's only a limited amount of free time you get each day, so why use it to suffer when there's plenty of other stuff to watch?

Twin Peaks
Still couldn't do it, got half way through season 2 and it was doing my head in. Everything felt like a cheesy soap, intended or not it was just awful. Character arcs that are completely uninteresting. Typical "90's tough guys". I kept at it, hoping for it would get good with supernatural/bizarre things happening, but it wasn't worth it

When did this show get boring? I watched the first episode, thought the idea of bringing Hannibal as a psychologist to psychologist working on a case was incredibly contrived, and didn't bother watching any more. Also, Hannibal's accent was obnoxious and wasn't consistent with my conception of the character.

hnng

they better not timeskip to the baby, I need me some big belly maggie

>Like there's only a limited amount of free time you get each day,
>Implying

not him but sometimes i put on shows or rerun as back ground noise while im doing work

Oz
The Wire
The Knick
Rectify

marvel AOS
supergirl
the following
better call saul
the 100

honestly just drop marvel and supergirl man

>Hannibal
>One of the most violent and gory shows on free to air tv
>boring
kys

>better call saul
The issue is that I can't figure out if it's going to be a drama show or have action like BB. They'd better get some interesting stuff in the next season.

>the wire
>rectify
Holy fucking pleb

But it wasn't boring. There was a new death every episode and constant tension about who's going to die next. Nice b8.

Twin Peaks and Madmen

and that fucking rapture show, what a load of pretentious shite

Cred Forums watched it only for the homolust. The gore was so "straight" guys would have an excuse to watch.

Was it worth it? I'm on episode 5 now and considering putting it down.

The acting/atmosphere/setting is amazing, but it's so fucking monotonous.

>violence and gore means its entertaining
How old are you

ray donovan

kek

The gore wasn't even the best part of show.

Even if you were to take the violence and gore out, the show would still be fantastic. The constant apprehension about what's going to happen next and the beautiful cinematography were enough to make it a great show.

Who did you ship?

I don't understand the question. Is this a meme that I'm unaware of?

You're really gonna play that game, user? Mmmk.

>People that treat television shows and movies like a marriage.
No, I don't ever "stick with it." I just change the channel.

Why couldnt they just make a straight adaption of the books? They turned the franchise into scooby doo tier monster of week shit.

For some, it's the closest things to friends and/or a relationship they'll have.

I legitimately don't understand what you're saying. I'm going to guess that you're asking which one would I fuck, which would obviously be Dr. Bloom.

I was feeling the same as you, and after finishing I really feel like I should have put the time into some other shows. Not worth it.

...

Some people need to go outside more and stop watching television and films all together.

Not altogether. Just watch high quality film and tv. There's no reason to spend more than 2 hours a day watching anything, whether it's tv, vidya, or porn.

>it's we post shows that aren't boring to bait each other episode

It means which pairing you prefer. For example, there's a lot who "ship" Will and Hannibal and wish they would get together.

Also, preferring Bloom over based Katz.

...

I thought the first few eps were CSI-style shit and almost quit. But people urged me on and somewhere near the middle/end of season 1 it becomes GOAT and never stops.

Top of the lake. I'll just spoil it for you

men are pigs

I never saw them as lovers. I saw them as deeply intimate friends, but with no sexual tension for each other. Yes, I actually hoped that they got together, but only as a finely tuned pair of killers.

And you're right, Katz was better. But on second thought, I'd sooner fuck Abigail.

I didn't really think the homolust was all that obvious until the last season, but Hannibal is a very "homo" show in the sense that you can tell a gay man crafted it.

The heightened focus on aesthetic, the well-dressed characters, the "strong woman" archetypes, it's got it all. It all makes it very interesting and unique imo.

...

Do you think Al switched Robin and Johnno's test with Tui's test because that would've lead to more questions about who fathered Tui's baby? And also do you think Al fathered Tui's baby?

Should have powered through, the S02 finale redeems the whole shitty second half.

Will and Han as duo serial killers? Will's kind of a pussy.

Alright, you do Abbie, I'll get Katz.

>Will and Han as duo serial killers? Will's kind of a pussy.
Han would have mouled him into a killer by the end if Will wasn't a goody two shoes.

>Alright, you do Abbie, I'll get Katz.
We'll make it a foursome then.

The aesthetic was amazing and added to the unsettling factor, but everything else was so... annoying.

>The last season
Kind of was expecting Hannibal to just stick his hand down Will's pants during a conversation. Like "I got your cock. Whatcha gonna do about it?"

>if Will wasn't a goody two shoes
It was endearing to an extent,

>We'll make it a foursome then.
I like you, user.

I kind of liked the SSJ4 concept, but the entire arc made me want to spoon my eyes out.

>It was endearing to an extent,
I know what you meant. I'm just shitposting because I haven't talked to another human being in 3 days.

I got all the time in the world baby. I get 80% of my former pay from my last job, while I'm now unemployed. The benefits of living in Scandinavia.

>I get 80% of my former pay from my last job, while I'm now unemployed. The benefits of living in Scandinavia.
wtf

I'm living in the wrong fucking country.

>3 days
Had that happen to me a month ago. Glad my dumbassery helped you a bit. Buck up, user. You'll soon get all the fuckers you can chat with irl all you want.

Thanks for the encouraging words. I'm just hopfully awaiting my death.

The only catch is that you have to have been working for atleast 12 months, before you get unemployed again. Otherwise you don't get that sweet 80%.

>There was a new death every episode

Exactly, which made it boring. When every episode has an ultra-gory corpse set up in a contrived, ritualistic way, just just makes the show stale.

Season 2 of the Knick

Season 4 of Boardwalk Empire but I haven't had the courage to start season 5 yet

Nah, fuck that, m8. I dumped all my friends this year because I couldn't stand their shit drama over insignificant shit anymore. I haven't made any new ones since everyone here refuses to let new people into their groups. I still have hope though. We can make it, bro.

Only a year? Holy shit.

How long do you get that money?

Is it more or less than neetbux?

>Exactly, which made it boring. When every episode has an ultra-gory corpse set up in a contrived, ritualistic way, just just makes the show stale.
You clearly missed the point. It wasn't the corpse that was interesting, because there's only a certain number of times before a mutilated corpse becomes not very intersting. It was disecting the motivation of someone twisted enough to commit those crimes. It was meeting the men behind the killings that was the interesting part.

I love TNG but marathoning it all now it's been on Netflix became a chore after 5 and a half series.

Fortunately the qualities picked up well mid s6.

I can get it as long as I'm signed in on The Job Centre and send in a report of what jobs I have applied to, once a month. That's really all there is to it. So basically, I could do this forever.

Oh, and yes. I get around the equivalent of 1250 euros each month, after taxes.

So do you apply for jobs that you're underqualified for so that you don't get any offers?

TNG is pure awesome. Even the boring episodes are great character studies.

I don't REALLY apply for the jobs though, I just write in the report that I do it.

Not him, but for some reason I want to make you my cuddle buddy. Which Scand country are you from?

The Wire, holy fuck what a boring as fuck show after S2.

They'll catch on eventually, but until then, enjoy the free life.

Deadwood

stranger things

>Madmen
Fucking this. Absolutely nothing happens in more episodes than not. I'm not sure why its defenders think dialogue and character development are things that have to happen in such a dull and monotonous manner, but it's like watching paint dry.

Norway.

I mean, I have done this for 2 years now. I don't know how they would eventually catch on.

Your'e a hero, user. Keep it up.

>Hannibal's accent was obnoxious

>I steal 15,000 a year from people who actually do work for a living
Jesus. Kill yourself.

Who cares. They're normies who would probably shit on him in real life if it was legal.

Plebs.

>Who cares
The people who give almost of their paycheck to support leeches like him care.

Try paying taxes on money you actually worked to earn, then get back to me, you fucking leech.

I tried with The Wire but just couldn't do it. I tapped out mid season 3

Sorry pal, but I'm not gonna wake up 6:00 every weekday for the rest of my life. I rather be a leech.

Why not just rob people yourself to get the money you're entitled to?

I do pay taxes, even though it's only about 2% because I'm a poorfag. Most of my taxes go towards supporting the us military blowing up brown people anyway. If the government wants to take money from the middle and upper class and throw it at autists, more power to them.

Cause that would be illegal. What I'm using is actually more of an insurance in case you lose your job, wich I did. Also, to get this insurance you have to pay a small fee every month. Completely legal.

unless you are one of the very top tax brackets you aren't giving away "almost all of your paycheck" for fucking anything in america

if you make 400k+ and file as single you pay 39.6% in the highest bracket. even so, when you make that much there are a ton a legal ways to mitigate this and keep uncle sam from getting his hands on that. stop crying.

And yet if you paid your "small fee" into a savings account voluntarily instead, you'd still have your insurance and wouldn't be stealing from others.

>almost all
I apparently dropped a word, but what I meant to type was "almost half", which actually does describe Norway's income tax situation for the average taxpayer. And the person I was responding to was from Norway. You can tell they're not American from the way they referred to their currency as Euros and the way they advocate shitting on people who actually work to make something of themselves.

Also, reminder that income tax is only one of numerous taxes a person pays. Sales tax, property tax, and the zillion other fines, fees, taxes, and shit all add up to well above the income tax bracket.

yea, i didnt read the full comment chain. you can generally disregard my post, idk how shit works in socialist paradises like norway.

>Also, reminder that income tax is only one of numerous taxes a person pays. Sales tax, property tax, and the zillion other fines, fees, taxes, and shit all add up to well above the income tax bracket.

this is true but like i said, there tons of legal tricks and loopholes you can use to mitigate. anyone making over 100k a year needs to educate themselves.

We shouldn't have to rely on tax loopholes and havens to hide our money just to spare it from leeches who proudly admit not doing anything useful for society.

one can argue that the benefits it provides to people who actually need it outweigh the negatives of leeches abusing it.

it's a burden to have to do financial gymnastics to hide your money but a greater burden would be letting someone who needs medical treatment be unable to find it or letting someone who lost their job become homeless, etc.

it depends on your philosophical outlook which idea you support i suppose. not everything needs or should be socialized though.

Three Kingdoms.
The show isn't boring. But it has some dry arcs where I had to force through.
Also the last few episodes are a rough patch with time jumps left and right and characters without much personality.
Great series otherwise.

SoA's last season but I did have feels. Prequel when Sutter?

I dropped capeshit after midway through season 4 of Arrow 3 was abysmal but better subsequently abandoning AoS,Flash, and Agent Carter.

Capeshit is fucking boring and I recently rewatched Spiderman 3 realized I gave it too hard a rap because it has notes and my MOMMY Bryce Dallas is squishy and instantly fuckable.

>letting someone who needs medical treatment be unable to find it
Hospitals cannot turn away patients with emergency care needs regardless of their ability to pay. This is literally not a thing in America.

>letting someone who lost their job become homeless
But it's our job to house them? Why is that?

All I'm saying, at any rate, is that it definitely should not be a viable long term life plan to not work a day in your life living solely on welfare checks from the government.

This, this, and fucking this. No show past or present earns the title more. I liked Mr. Robot when it was called Fight Club, and I liked FIght Club when it was called The Anarchist Cookbook.

Fucking Cred Forums

That "small fee" wouldn't pay my rent. I would be fucked if I didn't had this insurance to help me.

I survived 8 seasons of Dexter AMA

So the fact that you put a little money into it is irrelevant. You bring it up not as an actual justification for your theft, but just for obfuscation. It doesn't change the point that you're taking money from other people.

>Hospitals cannot turn away patients with emergency care needs regardless of their ability to pay. This is literally not a thing in America.

Of course, but the cost of the treatments can be so burdensome that they literally ruin the persons life.

>But it's our job to house them? Why is that?

Because lack of options and housing often leads to criminality and other social ills. Because reducing suffering overall can be said to be a good thing.

>All I'm saying, at any rate, is that it definitely should not be a viable long term life plan to not work a day in your life living solely on welfare checks from the government.

I think that in the current day such practices should be reduced but in the future, once we achieve true post-scarcity such a life would be norm. And we should be moving towards that.

Whatever, we are all gonna be dead in 100 years anyway, let me enjoy the short life that I have been given on this shitty planet.

After 4 it's retarded but I enjoyed 7 and 8.

>And you're right, Katz was better.
A stupid cunt who thought it was a good idea to break into the house of a suspected serial killer?

>Of course, but the cost of the treatments can be so burdensome that they literally ruin the persons life.
Which is not my fault, it's the fault of our medical insurance system. Yet I'm the one punished for it?

>reducing suffering overall
You're not reducing suffering, you're just spreading it around. Instead of one person suffering homelessness, thousands of people suffer the taxes that pay to house that one guy, who gets free shit at their expense. Taking shit at the expense of others is not "reducing suffering," it's "greed."

>once we achieve true post-scarcity
Not possible outside of fantasy scifi shit like replicators. There are only so much amounts of basic materials and their products on the planet.

That may have been retarded on her part, but fuck that scene was fantastic.

The way that her body was disposed of was really fascinating.

Take that back you piece of shit.

Hannibal is one of the best TV-kino in the last 5 years.

>Hannibal is one of the best TV-kino in the last 5 years.
This. kys OP

This is the only recent example. I used to watch loads of shit few years back but that was purely as escapism since my life was fucked up and had no direction.

These days if a show doesnt stand up to my standards or has 2 consecutive bad episodes i just give up with it instead of wasting my time. Bloodlines was a rare exception, it was on the verge of being good from start to finish. Safe to say i barely watch a handful of new seasons a year, the quality of TV has declined incredibly sharply in last 2-3 years.

>Which is not my fault, it's the fault of our medical insurance system. Yet I'm the one punished for it?

So how do we fix the medical insurance system? Leaving it to the free market is how the situation occurred in the first place.

Your second point, the logic goes that the suffering of paying the tax is small enough that even though you spread it around to thousands of people the suffering of being homeless (in this example) is so much great that by reducing just that you have a net reduction of suffering. I'm not sure I buy into that completely but utilitarianism gives a clear picture at least.

True post-scarcity can be at least worked toward. There's plenty of resources in the asteroid belt. Replicators might never be a reality so there will always be haves and have-nots but it can mitigated.

idk it's a big issue and I don't have a solid viewpoint on everything but a lot of the shit the way it is currently is pretty untenable

this was boring forced drama that wasn't funny.
>when does it get good?
halfway through first season. it's all world building!
>the end of season 1
oh crazy drug episode! ohh!
>mid way season 2
the goal kept moving but the show never got better. it was so inoffensive that I watched all three seasons.

>Leaving it to the free market is how the situation occurred in the first place.
No, it isn't, and if you think America has a free market health system you really don't know jack shit.

And we fix it by forcing medical insurance companies to pay the posted billing from medical providers. It's very much more complicated than this, but the very simplified version of it is health insurance companies only pay some percentage of their bill due to negotiated contracts, so in retaliation, hospitals jack up the cost of their bills, knowing their actual consumer (the patients, i.e. you and I) don't give a shit what the bill says because we don't pay that price, we pay our co-pay and we only care about our deductable and our insurance payments. This leaves everyone without insurance coverage screwed because they don't have a team of high priced lawyers to negotiate a payment contract.

>the logic is that the suffering of blah blah blah
No, it's just very diffuse. "Net suffering" is already a hard enough metric to quantify, but it doesn't just disappear when you spread it around. Furthermore, this isn't about one homeless guy. It's about having so many, we reach a tipping point where people choose to rest on the laurels of welfare payments. Also, this isn't utilitarianism.

yeah, I gave up on this one early
