Because it's popular. And edgy teenagers don't like mainstream.
...
It got too popular
Nothing is true
Everything is bait
because its popular and popular things are BAD
It's a poorly written boring piece of shit with terrible acting, lame editing, and dumb storytelling that makes a mockery of everything Mad Max should be
Because Fury Road one of the ugliest and most retarded films in recent History. And those garish, cartoonish, orange and blue colours produced in computers should be illegal. Really, why do people love to be submitted to this kind of empty horrifying visual and aural aggression? A fascistic anti-human audiovisual experiment. Simply put cirque du soleil for bros.
Pretty much this board described in one sentence.
As women make me physically sick and there one was, right in the middle of everything.
It's literally nothing but stunts. Not even Cred Forums is so infested with cheeto-eating manchildren that we can care about something for 90 minutes with so little charisma or real weight.
vulgar contrarianism
such is the Cred Forums way
>mfw some normal fucking shits tell me they haven't watched the original trilogy
and they expect me to listen to their opinion on fury road? sure thing mate
the chase scene was interesting for about 2 minutes but lasted 2 hours
Because Cred Forums is packed with contrarians, hipsters and hipster contrarians. Some, I assume, are good people, though.
fpbp
Because any time a female isn't shown as a sandwich making kitchen slave, its SJW propaganda destroying the white race.
>inb4 I'm called a cuck nu-male redditor
retard
This thread is so full of reddit. Rather than address the criticisms in this thread, all criticism are claimed (though the claim is tacit) to be rationalizations.
Kill yourselfs.
>using big words to sound smarter than what you actually are
I really wanted to like it but it has tons of problems. The endless action ended up boring me and this is the first time that something like this happened. There was no breathing room except that retarded
scene with Furioso crying about muh greens. I looked at my watch in the ending chase because I was so tired of it.
Don't forget gay Max who doesn't stick around to spend a few days with qt Furiosa at the end of the movie
i thought Cred Forums loved it?
imo it was the best movie in 2015
Please, tell me why Batman vs. Superman is good, why Zack Snyder is a great director and then Bane post at me.
These idiots probably defend capeshit and Breaking Pleb with the same lazy garbage:
>they just be le contrarians!!
They're obviously just raging plebs that don't care what garbage Hollywood slings at them.
because womans
Cred Forums doesnt like womans
There is not a thing in it that isn't 100% reddit.
Anyone with taste should be able to tell you that.
He sprinkled a few respectable words in his simply-worded rant. That was too bougie for you or something?
it was better than the originals. the only gibson movies to make me cringe.
cuck
Cred Forums changes its mind on anything that gets too popular.
When it first came out, it was extremely well received. WITNESS ME even made it into the Cred Forums porno.
Vile creatures
so many reasons, if you can't figure out why road warrior is a much better movie then god help you
It happened with Breaking Bad, then it happened to Fury Road and one day, it will happen to you.
Real Mad Max would never do that either, that's one of the only good moments in the film
made of poison i hear.
Snakes with tits
Breaking Bad is justified though
it went from great to meme action tier dogshit during season 4
orange
nope. There's just a lot of posting here when something is airing. Then, when the hype dies down, the rabid reddit/sp/v/ manchildren slink back to their corners and there's not a bunch of brainless, uncritical praise.
It's not that "Cred Forums changes its mind"; it's that fanbois only stick around during the hype. It's hilarious that you people can't figure that out either.
>le no true Cred Forumsman meme
wew lad
TV doesn't like anything
Max was a real human bean
I enjoyed it
But I thought it was overhyped and overrated as fuck.
Probably because millenials didn't grow up with classic action movies like someone born in the 70s or 80s
Too over the top for me. Ignored previous lore.
What?? Cred Forums loves Fury Road. When it first came out everyone was pleasantly surprised by how entertaining and endlessly quotable it was. The feminist hype surrounding it was a total fluke. When did Cred Forums stop liking it?
Everyone loves it
This. It's good but by no means amazing.
My biggest gripe is that Max was barely in it and most certainly not the protagonist. The worst part is people defend this by saying that Max was never the protagonist in the original movies, which simply isn't true
>endlessly quotable
lol, a few BrBa meme one liners isn't "endlessly quotable"
as i watched it, water slowly rose up around my legs until my knees were completed soaked
The asshole with the guitar that shot fire surrounding by speakers is maybe the most reddit thing that's ever happened in history
>gay soundtrack
Stopped caring right there
How?
>DUDE DISINGENUOUS SIMPLIFICATIONS
More like most people that are capable of enjoying things generally have a real life and don't spend every waking second on here being jaded and angry over fictional characters in made up stories like you lol.
dude why brah
story was shit
"action movie" isn't an excuse
Because Cred Forums reckons women are icky and have cooties.
Yes, I'm sure the manchildren who enjoyed Mad Max have riveting real lives where they meet interesting intelligent people and beautiful women. Clearly, eating Hollywood correlates with a fulfilling life.
A lot of Cred Forums loved the movie right after it came out, then once it got popular, won a bunch of Oscars, and is known as a good movie by most people, the general consensus did a 180.
did you used to have an imagination as a child or were you always boring
Somehow I doubt that assholes who prefer high-brow movies shitpost about how bad Fury Road wars. That would be like complaining about lack of deeper themes on /mlp/.
Was I blown away by it like a lot of people seen to be? No. Is it a competent action flick? Sure. For what it's worth it seems like a lot of attention has been committed to details.
Because women are the main reason Hillary will be a two term president. Also no gf. A cursory glance reveals as much.
Why? In Road Warrior he gets separated and stranded from the rest of the convoy. Thunder dome it's the same with the plane. Real Max would've stuck around in Fury Road for a few days, picked himself a new car, stocked up on supplies, and only then moved on
I've lost my board.
In a thread like this it becomes apparent more than ever and wakes me from an ignorant, meme-fuelled slumber.
Cred Forums is gone.
And yet, there is nothing else. Nowhere else to go. So I return to my slumber, resigned to this place that is no longer mine.
In better times, such a thread as this may indeed have been a focal point for shitposting and directionless argument. Let us say this thread was "why doesn't Cred Forums like Avatar?"
In those times, you would still feel a sense of community and fellowship in the wasteland of Cred Forums. Not anymore. Threads like these remind me those days are gone.
I've lost my board. But I'm still here ;_;
>hey i watch a lot of movies because i live with my parents
>ive never actually worked on a film set (or worked in general), but i think i have something valuable to say
>all movies have so many faults, why don't they just make a perfect movie?
>i can make a perfect movie with my no skills, education, talent or networking abilities
>i think i do my best work here, on my mom's couch eating cheetos and talking shit on the internet
i don't know why i click on this board anymore, it's just not fun anymore. it's just idiots talking shit about things they don't know
This film is close to flawless. As an action movie it is flawless. Tell me an action that even compares besides the Raid or Die Hard
It's the last 10 seconds of the movie. They either were going to show him with her implying he stayed or him leaving which max would do. Do you want some 20 min lord of the rings style ending where he haggles with a warboy over a v8? fuck off Max is a neutral good literal mad man not some ride into town sheriff for a day.
>Visual medium shouldn't appeal to the eyes
I watched the original trilogy and the only good thing I got from it was Toecutter who was, fortunately, brought back. Too bad they kill him (RIP in piece Imortan)
>gay as fuck editing
Are you kidding me? Miller's action editing was one of the best editings out there! It's almost impossible to get lost in the action.
To be fair, they really overdid on the action sequences and I would enjoy a little more world building.
Overall I liked it because it was a good action flick. I think a lot of people have the same opinion. I grew up in an era of Jack Chan films, The Matrix, Rambo and a few others. Yet, modern films trying to film action are mostly shaky cam and 3-cuts-per-second material. So, the main reason people liked it is because it's good - not great, just good.
While Max and Furiosa were absolutely heinous when it comes to charisma, Charlise did a good job transmitting the idea of an intimidating warrior (dat stare).
But the real good stuff in the film were the villains. Everyone of them were a good choice. Even the nameless warboys felt interesting and not Mr. Bad Guy #14. You'll be hardpressed to find a film where you get that much character from random people to be killed.
Soundtrack was overall great and transmitted a good sense of frenetic chase, though I do have a problem with this one: youtube.com
It just sounds too uplifting to what is being portrayed here.
So there, I've made a rebuttal. Now do proceed to ignore these points and call me Reddit, meme master.
