How long until the capeshit bubble bursts?

How long until the capeshit bubble bursts?

Ten years after the Star Wars bubble bursts

The gods demand a virgin sacrifice first, so you're going to have to volunteer yourself

until something else replaces it
what exactly, though?

The Rise of Foodkino.

it needs to hit its peak

infinity war, after that, then it can die

>implying SW wont be the replacement cash cow for capeshit
fuck SW has been a cash cow since day one how will they not milk it for as long as they can

Next year hopefully.

It already has.

First there was the zombie movie infestation, today capeshit, what is the next thing?

What the fuck are you waiting for

post 'em

Quirky Disney clones.
Basically, we're experiencing the 80s and 90s again.
A shit ton of crappy super hero movies which lead into a bunch of crappy animated films.

>what exactly, though?
God only knows

How long until you faggots clearly under the age of 25 stop coming up with faggy Internet buzzwords?

I don't think cinema will survive till 2030. Blockbusters are already flopping in a alarming rate.
Capeshit will die a few years earlier than that.

t. 26 year old hanging out with a bunch of teens on an anime website

>everyone must be underage just like me!
kill yourself, underage faggot

in 2020

Godzilla vs king kong

"Bob" is not going to save us.

he's probably responsible for it.

Sci-fi has the potential, because it never really went away and we've got Star Wars and Avatar series coming out.

Personally I'd like giant monsters to take off. Those all depend on the new Kong and Godzilla films, and if Pacific Rim 2 ever leaves pre-production. It'd be cool if another studio got in on it, maybe with a Gamera movie or an original IP.

manga and anime are completely overflowing with food porn stories, they should just steal some of that desu senpai

Cape films are a great way of draining slack from the normals, they go to see them in droves

Sci-fi and monsters are the likely answer, but I think the latter will have a limited shelf life. Sci-fi is timeless, though; people love exploring the unknown. There's at least one good sci-fi movie coming out this year (Arrival), though I'm sure there are more.

TFA actually did less at the box office than what was expected. Disney poured millions marketing it, not to mention the billions buying the IP from Lucas.

I doubt Rogue One will make as much. Disney had their shot and they blew it by making forgettable capeshit with lightsabers.

>TFA actually did less at the box office than what was expected.
Actually it did as much as expected. In an Empire interview Abrams admitted that Disney was aiming for 2 billion, which is exactly what it got.
