I'm really sorry but I don't get the hype. I just feel that Daft Punk is better than Justice? Anyone else feel this way?

Just listened to it for the first time a couple weeks ago. Completely unmemorable.

*deletes The Party*
Now it's on par with Human After All.

They have that 2000's feel which we're so 2010's, of course there's no more hype.

How can one person be so wrong?

Daft punk is > justice

This album is absolutely incredible. Delete everything from stress to the end and it was probably my favorite music experience in college. I just love the way they fit together. When I first heard phantom in 2009, I had never heard anything like it (hadn’t encountered daft punk yet) so it’s personal for me

listen to the live version, same with daft punk.
alive and all access arenas are great albums
youtu.be/EU6T634_pUM
youtu.be/3JSQVYhNcRs

I like them both a lot. I don't see the point in having a stupid argument where we then decry one as shit even though we were just splitting hairs one second ago. Put a gun to my head I'd probably say Daft Punk but I think that's more because of the robot personas more than anything else.

Here's the official ranking:

Discovery > Alive 2007 > Woman > Random Access Memories > Cross > Human After All > Homework > POWERGAP > Audio Video Disco

le knight club > Together > daftpunk
youtu.be/o-x273saP1o
youtu.be/ypJhFJKyVQk
youtu.be/tEJpLDEOivA

Homework>Alive1997>Alive2007>Discovery>Planisphere>Cross>RAM>AVD>HAA>Woman

>Woman That Low
>Discovery that Low
>RAM that low
>Homework at number one

How about no. Go back to chicago in the 80's if you want Acid House.

Stardust > all

>Discovery anything other than first

The Party is a total plebfilter

ed banger shit aged like milk

Alive 2007 as #1 is an acceptable alternative. But Discovery must never be below #2.

...

cross is better than anything daft punk did, but the rest of justice's albums are shit so daft punk is better overall probably

pleb

this

>Delete everything from stress to the end
>deleting Waters of Nazareth
>mfw

sad people dislike Audio Video Disco so much, but I guess its kind of expected that a (prog?) rock album by an edm artist wouldn't go over that well with the fans

If we count Planisphere as part of the album, AVD becomes my personal favorite Justice album

if only those boys made that album they were offered to do it would have been a great record.
this was my personal opinion. but yeah I understand why people tend to prefer discovery and RAM more than homework. but yeah I still don't understand why people tend to put woman over AVD though
in most cases top 3 for sure

good taste my dude the medley is just such a banger youtu.be/fdANsBDxnNU

Woman really warmed up to me. At first I only liked the first few tracks, but eventually I loved it all except for Fire.

A Cross The Universe is the best either group will ever do, however.

do people ever go deeper into french house or are these two artists were most stop?

I enjoyed it, but comparing anything to daft punk will lead to a letdown.

>cross is better than anything daft punk did
"No."

Modjo are pretty good.

Yes a long time ago. Used to love Justice, then hated them post-debut. Still hate them now.

idk i fucking adore this album. stress is garbage though, daft punk is however leagues better but i find myself turning on justice more

Woman is in my personal top 25
I just love the disco influence on it.
But it was a major grower, I only mildly liked it (and the singles a lot) at first, but I kept being drawn back to it.

Woman was alright.

discovery is much much better than cross. I listened to it a few times it's not very memorable outside of that one song

>stress is garbage though

Explain.

Most people don't go deeper than Justice, but they're doing themselves a disservice. Lots of great stuff both out of the actual French House scene and more recent stuff inspired by it.

Who do you recommend?

>I just feel that Daft Punk is better than Justice? Anyone else feel this way?
Well duh... I don't feel like it's a question that Daft Punk are better. That's like comparing Queen to The Darkness. One spawned the other inferior copy.

not that dude but here are a few options

Etienne de Crecy (producer) - Super Discount [Comp]
Cassius - 1999 [LP]
Louis la Roche - Me & Her [EP]
Various Artists - Crydamoure Presents Waves [Comp]
Vinyl Fever - 03h40 am on the Floor [Single]
Stardust - Music Sounds Better With You [Single]
Rinôçérôse - Le Triangle [Single]
Together - Together [Single]
Together - So Much Love to Give [Single]
Danger - 09/14 2007 [EP]
Alan Braxe & Fred Falke - Palladium [Single]
Alan Braxe & Fred Falke - Rubicon [Single]
Fred Falke - Part IV [LP]

Thanks, I'll check some of these out.

oh, also Jazzy Eyewear - The Renaissance (Les Loups' 1979 Remix)

Not him but
>Boys Noize
>Gesaffelstein
>Cassius
>Jackson And His Computerband
>Boys Noize
>Danger
>J Paul Getto
>Kavinsky
>Surkin
>Soulwax
>SebastiAn

Makes me happy that I posted mostly classic stuff and you posted mostly modern. Gives two different sides to the genre, the starting point and the evolution/modernization.

It gets an undeserved bad rap. It's better than Woman by far

Mr. Oizo lmao

Nah.
Woman is better than Cross

Nothing compares to the intensity of this song. Prove me wrong.

m.youtube.com/watch?v=0qXmxVySMzw

You're outta your goddamn mind son. Woman is a shitfest compared to Cross

Nah senpai.
Cross is a classic, but Woman is fucking amazing.

It took a few listens to grow on me, but it's one of my favorite albums period.
Only weak track is fire, & that is still good.
The basslines, the grooves, the lyrics, the melodies.
It's all ace.

annoying and repetitive

A Cross The Universe > Cross > Planisphere > Woman World Wide > Access All Arenas > Woman > AVD

youtube.com/watch?v=m8ixmGFBgZw

That wasn't hard.

Also cop or not

wrong pic

Damn I'm proud of you, Cred Forums. This is a really good spread of old school and new school.

That’s a less intense version of the same song. It’s just violins instead of heavy synthesized violins. Utter garbage remix.

Also I would definitely cop the jacket if you like justice but I don’t think stuff made by bands is typically very fashionable.

Fire is one of my favorite tracks. Man ive really tried to like it but it comes off as very hit or miss after repeated listens.

daft punk is shit, pic related is the true patricians choice

PINK LADY

blood red>all

It's one of those albums people who were there when it was happening adore and people looking back just don't see it.

youtube.com/watch?v=AWigCggVv2Y
Justice > MGMT

Not quite. I listened to it for the first time only two years so, and I loved it.

holiday on ice always sounded like an unfinished around the world intro demo to me

Daft punk literally has zero originality. They got famous by copying other songs
m.youtube.com/watch?v=MJPdVVOmbz4

are they still popular? no one give a shit it France

holy shit crescendolls is the exact same

And this is just the beginning.
The whole discovery album is literally old samples
m.youtube.com/watch?v=OpZRNq33Obk
This is the daft punk hit song formula for you:
>Take old funky song
>Don't credit it
>Speed it up and loop it
>Add some synths and vocoder to it
Done
And that's why justice is better. At least they are original, and use really short samples (which they rarely do anyway) to the point of being basically unrecognisable

>Muh electronic music is all samples anyway
Yes, but there's a limit to that. If you just loop an old song with some minor changes, you don't really deserve credit.

DVNO
FOUR CAPITAL LETTERS

>there's a limit to that
couldn't agree more, those similarities are just ridiculous. i'll still like the album for what it is, but goddamn
i've always thought justice was more fresh sounding, so i'm glad i can somewhat confirm that

Cross is a fucking classic. It doesn't emulate Daft Punk and it shouldn't be compared to Discovery or any other DP album. It does its own thing and it's great.

The only thing it does similar to daft punk is inspire another generation of electronic music

>French House
no, daddy, pls no

jesus fucking christ this place has gone to shit

no u

Stress is probably my least favorite song ever. It's just ear rape.

what's more stressful is the music video itself.

>Completely missing the point of the song by achieving the feeling it's supposed to convey

i really like boston bun. pretty nice french touch.
also, paradis isnt "true" french house but it has a nice vibe

Check out French 79
They have some really nice stuff, I don't even remember how I found them

Electro-house was a mistake.

>Pleb detected

Yeah, everyone above his post.

great list but where is oizo??

Uffie is a talentless whore

>Justice is a copy of daft punk
Huh

See

Mr. Oizo is everywhere and nowhere at the same time

great stuff dude
