These three are pretty much tied
Wonderful ambient album with glitch tendencies. Enjoyable for active and passive listening.
...
sounds good, i need more ambient
I've never listened to Carseat Headrest, should I listen to the original or the new one?
I know right?
BUUUUULLLLLSHHHAARRK

OG
what album
Different guy. Is there a real difference between the original compared to the new one? Is it like a different takes of the same songs or remastered?
if you listen to the new one first the old one will be pretty unlistenable by comparison
if you listen to the old one first you will appreciate the new one more also
They redid the entire album. The songs are written the same, for the most part, but the performances and production and other things are massively different. They stand on their own, I just suggest listening to the "chronology".
There are a lot of very very obvious differences, personally I prefer the new versions.

fantano didn't like this one though
Jerry Quickley - (american) FOOL
i personally checked it out because Busdriver did the production.
Thanks. I haven't listened to Twin Fantasies in forever so I was curious
I've listened to Shadow Expert but not this yet. I'll have to pick this up

jonwayne feature is crazy. had that samiyam beat on repeat.
Oh yeah this was pretty good
one of my favorite songs on the album for sure behind Sell Me This Pen and Love Is A Funny Thing
Mach-Hommy's verse on Sell Me This Pen is fucking insane
ryuichi sakamoto & alva noto - glass
this sounds neat, gonna check it out
everything in this thread sucks desu
That's the one.
Fantano's critique of it was incredibly shallow and mostly based on conjecture desu. I like him as a reviewer, but his short review wasn't even good. it was basically "The steel drum sounds get old" okay, fine, but it's a very tropical and beachy take on mathrock, so it does make sense. "The vocals are brian wilson-esque, but I feel like only by way of animal collective." that was the dumb part. He doesn't back up that claim at all, and he states it as though Brian Wilson wasn't a fucking monolith of musical experimentation for an entire fucking decade.
but user, you haven't listened to the following
so why would you post that?
I just wanted someone to reply to my post :(
seconded
Is this not on rym? I looked up both Frosty and Busdriver
