What do you think about feminists?

My desire to have a woman who just provides children cuddles and sandwiches is slightly outweighed by my desire to be tied up and viciously beaten by a woman who looks like a Motley Crue member and hates the fact I exist.

Part of the problem people have is that they view feminism as a homogeneous movement, when there are many differing feminist ideologies which compete against one another.

There are many feminist perspectives I disagree with, but there are just as many I do agree with.

I think that we have made great strides in toppling institutional barriers for women, but women are still more disenfranchised on average than men. I don't deny that there are issues which affect men more than women as well, but the majority of the power in our society still lies with men as opposed to women.

That said, I am a Marxist, and I think that relations along class lines are far more pertinent than race and gender relations. My view is that if you deal with the class inequalities that plague our society this will result in the dissipation of inequalities along sex and race.

In the most egalitarian feminist countries income inequality increases.
The gender differences become greater, not less.
Because men and women are free to choose what jobs they want instead of in more impoverished countries where women are forced to take the most high paying jobs they can find.
