Got some last night, it was glorious.

Attached: window_snowing_art.jpg (564x823, 54K)

Nothing beats a cozy, snowy day/night.

It would be nice if it fell during the day to watch, but at night is good too. Very quiet, just the sound of the wind and snow and crunching the snow as you walk. Had a pinner joint too and it was very calming. Might go out again tonight even though it's done falling.

How much snow?

Attached: blizzard (14).jpg (3840x2160, 822K)

I've always been one for snowy night walks.
Not very much, not even a foot, but a little under.
It just feels great because it's been a pretty green winter where I live.

For me, 4 inches is celebratory. I always want as much as possible, but 4 inches covers most stuff nicely at least.

Attached: river (4).jpg (1024x768, 165K)

Attached: 835738975.gif (1280x536, 461K)

Been pretty snow free here too. We had a November storm but not much else. Week ago we got 4 inches of rain, which would have been an insane blizzard. Fucking robbed.

Attached: bedroom (50).jpg (650x400, 186K)

That's a good point actually.
I never realized it but that's how I am too.
>Fucking robbed
That's how winter has been in my area so far: it rains when it should be snowing.
The only good thing is that it's cold.

I need to strategically find a house that is in a constant lake effect snow band. I always want moar

Attached: 61DED870-C823-4525-B197-E07A569D6EDD.jpg (750x993, 755K)

Why not both? I love palms and have been trying to find some hardy ones or way to protect them in the cold here.

Attached: snow_palm_tree (2).jpg (1032x773, 176K)

Streetlights in snow is also super comfy for some reason. Usually I hate those lights, but they look nice in the night snow.

You lucky bastard.
I didn't even know that palms could survive in the cold.

Attached: 628145639754.jpg (877x1193, 285K)

Attached: 132017375.jpg (3000x1992, 1.82M)

They can tolerate some rare cold but if it goes below a certain temperature they do die.
My thoughts were to have them in giant pots that move indoor, but then they are smaller. Other option is some sort of winter shroud and heating device.

Attached: indoor_palm_trees.jpg (1000x667, 911K)

are those the new xboxes?

Attached: 1569882004631.jpg (1920x1080, 1018K)

Interesting.
Makes me want to get into gardening and stuff.
Plants are cool as hell.

Attached: 58308243952093.jpg (1920x1080, 1.17M)

I've heard this is an actual meal in an actual hobbit house.

>Makes me want to get into gardening
Same here. I know little, but would be nice to have plants around and grow some of your own food and medicines. Saving up for a house, so when I move out to the country should have space to try things.

I would be perfectly comfortable living in that. assuming I had a place to wash myself and do laundry.

I dont really have any desert snow, but I'm going to start trying to find some.

Thanks sempai

There is a ton of it on YouTube, lots of good mixes. But that first one I always post is the essential City Pop song mix.

That makes me want to fix the sound on my computer (really just get a new computer). I have some comfy sounds on my phone like rain on tent, but music I dont have on here.

Also want to break format slightly. I've been finding a lot of stuff produced by Joe Meek to be very comfy.

Just about everyone has heard "Telstar" by the Tornados. Now check this comfy track out

Are you going by celsius or do you live in some serious cold?

Yeah I always like in the early spring/winter when the mountains around Arizona get snow

Attached: four-peaks-winter-2016-barbara-zahno.jpg (900x624, 272K)

I've been unknowingly drawn to it. Never liked multiple story houses too much, these look clean and unobtrusive. Are they all ranchish or a seperate style entirely?

Attached: 597859476.jpg (2560x1440, 1.7M)

Saguaro and snow is something I never thought of. I like it.

Celsius but yeah it's seriously cold. It did drop below -30 f (-35 C) Friday.

Its very hot or cold, either its 10/10 or garbage

Attached: 1502826017819.jpg (1500x1021, 205K)

Yeah. Wanted to be a truck driver as a kid so I could hang out in a sweet sleeper cab. I dont have the patience of a trucker though.

I feel that. Sometimes it's just nice to be noticed. Or to feel like you're in a community.

Attached: IMG_20110123_162934.jpg (2592x1936, 1.49M)

Attached: 90873598793823365.jpg (1500x1650, 605K)

This might still be my favorite comfy place.

I'd have a lot of anxiety not having access to emergency responders.

Comfy little bubble. It'll do

Truck driver myself, but never a sleeper. Kinda envious

its been -40 all week, finally found some tea ive been looking for for years, and I babysat my niece and nephew for 3 days. feeling top comfy and wholesome lads

Attached: 1579057839804.jpg (1200x1000, 90K)

So cozy, especially this time of year. Could also torture a claustrophobe by nailing a sheet of playwood over it.

Fair enough. I've accepted that if things get bad, well then I'll be dead. Goal is to be comfy as much until as late as can be.

Isn’t this the island in Iceland that that singer owns?

Yeah, Alberta.

Fair enough.

Comfy is a hard thing for me to achieve, but I'm tryin'. I too would like to make comfyness my ultimate goal, if you don't mind me being unoriginal.

Attached: 1505747558563.jpg (1920x1080, 384K)

There are some really large expensive fancy ones, but then the truck is really long and heavier. I suppose if it's your actual home its maybe worth it.

I should get back to tea. Was able to drink only water and tea until it got hot and tea wasnt a good choice. I drink to much junk now.

About the size of my bedroom, that bed.

Window seat bed! Just looked it up.

places like this LOOK really cool, but thing pisses me off. those dinky little fucking sailboats. wouldnt the current would be so fucking strong and consistent that sailing would be EXTREMELY difficult and/or inefficient? that is a tremendous amount of water moving. is there some aspect that im overlooking and dont know about or understand?

My brain is having a hard time here

The Currents for all those boats floaiting around would be absurd

Also seems like a terrible place to build a city with sinking, and settling and subsidence issues.

Erosion and not to mention this place would flood every fucking spring and every time there was some decent rainfall or a storm.

World would be nicer if comfy was a main goal. Less fights because we all wanna fuck off back to a cozy home.

I'm jealous; Canada has some beautiful land.
The US does too, but not particularly where I live.
I live close to the border though, it's kind of weird sometimes. A totally different country is only a 10 minute drive away.

its the comfiest of drinks

Same here. Before the gay border stuff from 911 I could head south and be in canada in 20 minutes. Was nice when we were 19 and the drinking age was 19 there.

I can’t wait to have my own house.

Xmas eve getting to sleep as a kid was pretty great. Everyone around, no school, cookies and food, festive, presents, lots of fun happening.

Another nonspecific would be walking up for school and then hearing its closed for a blizzard. Going back into the still warm bed and getting more sleep was glorious. Then a free day of playing in a blizzard.

Attached: blizzard_comfy.gif (1000x512, 1.84M)

>might be easier to go back and forth again.
That would be nice.
Canada is a cool place, I just haven't been able to go in recent years because I don't have a passport or an enhanced license.

snow is a great acoustic dampener
there's a lot of trapped air in the middle, especially with fluffy snow

i love these threads
but hate that everyone posts the same 100 pictures

I feel both of these. And they both make me miss comfier times.

On my god YES. The second one in particular resonates with me. School being cancelled or closed early is one of the most euphoric feelings.

So much so that, in my final year of high school, with anxiety through the roof and my depression at its worst, I missed almost all of it and failed miserably. I stayed home. Got no good feeling out of it though. Forever ruined my relationship with my parents. Tough habit to break, as well. I still take at least one day a week off in college unfortunately.

That sound, or maybe lack of sound is ultra comfy. Kind of a muffle on everything else. Only time it sounds like that is that heavy fluffy snow

Attached: driving_blizzard.jpg (960x720, 60K)

Sorry to hear that. I have something similar to that going on now. I need to get back Tom working, but that seems impossible so I stay home and do very little. Unfortunately I get no joy out of the free time because I'm all mental or some shit. I gotta just break the cycle I think.

Now can be seriously comfy

Attached: 1561514053909.jpg (2048x1638, 690K)

I know how you feel, there really is no joy in it. The day goes so quickly when you stay home. A few hours in a minute. Spend the day just feeling guilty, and a few hours, kicking myself for having not gone.

Yup, it makes no sense but dont know what to do. I started seeing a psych, but not sure if it's doing much. I think if I got into a daily schedule it would get me out of the rut and I'd relearn to enjoy the free time since it's more valuable.

Mentioned this place last comfy thread...

From 1946 to 1968, Charles, St, Mary's, and Anne Arundel Counties in Maryland had legalized slots. This led to a lot of development geared towards this.

Pic related was one of the bigger venues, it was demolished in 2018 after being closed for years.

Fireworks and trains is double comfy.

This is a sauna made from a kit. My friend has one just like it.

Its gonna be sad as we get older seeing everything we liked close down . Even the good places managed well eventually shut down when the owners retire if they dont have kids invested.

Don't have a night shot, but The Wigwam was another slots parlor about a quarter mile down from Waldorf Restaurant. It was a bakery when I was growing up and was demolished a few years ago. The only thing that survived was its sign which now points to the Indian Head Rail Trail

I like these tiny places, intrigued about a sauna kit too.

Turn off the computer. Curl up with a book. Do that every night for a week. Then try it for a month. And eat more fruits and vegetables...it'll change your life.

Thanks for that, user.
I didn't know that island was part of Iceland, In always assumed it was the Faroe Islands for some reason.

When I was growing up slots had only been banned about a decade or so, a ton of the buildings were reporposed and still there. Just a huge amount of motels

Now that its 50+ years later, a lot of them have been demolished or are no longer recognizable

Better pic of the sign when the neon was still working. The neon for the arrows would go off in sequence

Comfortable for your body, but not for your mind. This is a stimulation station. A dopamine station.

Guess I'll wait around for the next Hunger Games thread

poor quality standards for a comfy thread

Not sure what I would do. I live in the woods and it's dark outside. My roads haven't been plowed yet either. Most things are closed right now too.

Got any book recommendations? I just finished Watership Down. Been trying to disconnect but I feel left out.

Besides posting an Icelandic island map I was just a lurker in this thread, but I enjoyed it a lot guys. An oasis in the garbage dump that's Cred Forums

Where is that man??

My favorite book of all time is a non-fiction called Out of Control. An expanded PDF of it is online. Read chapter one and see what you think. So many amazing ideas on almost every page.

Have you read George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty Four? If not, read that. If you want to read some mindblowing sci-fi, try A Fire Upon the Deep by Vernor Vinge.

Things'll look up, user. They always do. Fix your diet and it'll change everything.

i was under the impression she was paralyzed, but might be wrong.

i hope anons and OP enjoyed it as much as i did. It was like a thread version of watching Bob Ross paint. I'm all relaxed and ready to wind the day down now.

If you liked Watership Down, you can also check out The Plague Dogs also by Richard Adams.

Oh, and investigate "dopamine fast" on YouTube to become more creative and happy. But mostly less computer, read more and eat better. Good luck man!

Are you around Detroit metro user?

finally got some good snow here. the tree service i work for does snow removal in the winter. went out last night at 10pm and got done with my route at at 7am.
i'm just a shovel nigger for now, though. most comfy is a little townhome subdivision on my route. all the exterior lights shining on a blanket of snow. walking around edging out driveways for the bobcat at midnight in light snowfall. dead quiet except the bobcat running back and forth clearing the street.
it was pretty dope until it started to rain and turned the snow all wet and heavy.
best is hanging out with the guys in the shipping container they turned into an office/chainsaw locker and drinking beer at 8am after shoveling for hours. i'll have to take a picture of it sometime.

Are you? Not that user, though.

Close to it!

More showers plz.

had snow early part of this week and it was nice to have days off but once that was over driving in it was not great.

those towers look intimidating af

Read Quicksilver by Neal Stephenson. Treats the past as another planet in a sci-fi manner. Written in ink on paper. Docs the origins of the modern world. Perfect for filling your head and filling time.

hmmm. looks like we're at image limit.
i guess i can throw in this old recording i made years ago when i was experimenting with stereo recording.

not that wind sounds that different in stereo or mono

this picture reminds me of life before niggers

why am I waiting for this dude to slap her?

nothing is more comfy than armor and a local hottie who doesn't have any

extremely comfy imo
especially on a torrentially rainy night in those highway rest stops when every car has parked to wait out the storm

there's another word for tiny house it's called a shed.
