How do I connect this coax? I’m trying to connect the cords but it looks funny and it has copper-ish thing that sticks out??

You should call a expert because you don't know what screw marks look like.

Unscrew it. The first paintd bit of metal is a nut that will loosen it from the female/female adapter it's screwed into.

The coax cable previously connected has been snipped off instead of removed correctly. You need to remove it first.

/Thread

That's a 3-piece connection.
>buy jumper coax in store
>take 2 pliers/vice/wrench
>undo the cut fitting
>attach new jumper

Signal might be shit cause its old/debris
>

Loosen this nut with a pair of pliers. Counter clockwise

But .... it's cut user

Maybe first try to work on a proper cable port

Get a pair of pliers and some electrical tape . Then proceed to stick it all in your ass .

>tries to say OP is retarded
>called threads "screw marks"

See how far you can get in your dick hole . Probably less painful than calling Comcast .

Thank you user, I don’t have any tools so I’m getting some.

oh shit I never thought of this. I'll do this tomorrow and post results.

This, you can screw the broken piece off and put an actual cable.

This

I bet Comcast did this.. they hire the dumbest fucking people to run cable. .. and then someone painted over it.

If it were me I would remove the fucking thing from the wall and put in a new wall plate.

Either that or an Optimum tech. Those guys are the biggest hacks!

Literally cut the cable off instead of unscrewing it.
Whoever did it is a lazy nigger.

Would it still make connections if I cut it off

>screw marks
I'm sorry to tell you this user, but it is you who is the retard.

My fucking God this makes me cringe. Look at that fucking trim and paintwork with those nasty walls.

Welcome to New York city

this obviously

“B-b-b-but what are pliers?” ~millennial

You will need some lube

What a weird fucking coax “situation”. You obviously have a female to female connector. Just unscrew that end piece. You’ll need two pliers or wrenches. New apartment?

Cable brah here.

Get a 7/16 or an adjustable wrench. Leave the barrel attached to the intact line of coax. Go to Comcast and ask for some coax and run your own line. Unless you intend to use it for dish then you'd need rg6 3ghz

Dude are you that fucking helpless and retarded? Jesus christ people can't do shit.

don't listen to this guy, this makes mustard gas

kek

Thanks anons, I got one plier and got it to work. Now waiting for modem to do its thing
