Who else has lived in communal living like this for an extended period of time?
Like Podshare like pic related, lived in a large hostel dorm or just a ski town sharehouse with a lot of people?

I lived in a 3 bedroom house with 11 coworkers during a ski season. It was a weird mix of fun and stress. Was kinda shit at the time but looking back it was pretty unique and awesome.
Anyone else got stories to share?
Ask me anything.

I was in the military

I miss going next door to see what your buddies are up to when you're bored.

Me and my roommate at the time had a projector, and we would have anime nights.

I also miss knocking on all your buddies doors in the hallway to see who's doing to the dining facility or out to eat, and all walking together and eating together.

Same deal with going to the gym, and showers, and training and formation and shit.

yeah i used to live in a dormitory during university (fairly rare and unusual in my country to do so during uni) and i miss shit like this too.
everyone had their own room but we'd do the same shit as you. knock on your neighbour's door and see if he wants to smash some beers and watch a movie or something.
random hangouts and parties in the common room.
I actually really liked it, much more than sharing 4 people to a room or the opposite, straight up having my own apartment with no-one else around.

I guess if you're going to get raped and all your shit stolen it might as well be in a pleasant atmosphere

>living with coworkers in a tight space means you'll automatically get a cock in your ass every night and have everything stolen

That's not normal procedure in communal living? Hmm, I guess experiences vary

It would be fun if it was just men around my age, even if we were different kinds of people I think. Closest I've had though was a week of camping we did back in middle school, and then like one weekend where me and a bunch of dudes stayed in a one bedroom house for a wedding.

It's a scientific fact that you are 100% more likely to get raped if you share a bunk bed with a coworker.

I lived in a drug rehabilitation center that you could live at indefinitely if you worked for them. I stayed there about three years, it was an amazing experience and changed my life.

And yes, there was lots of sex.

who doesn't love a gangbang

kinda weird how the put the ratings for the women right there on their beds.

>you could live at indefinitely if you worked for them
so you were a slave?

that's the cost

Omg sauce. This bitch is hot

Jesus dude, for $700 a month I'm getting a 300 sq ft bachelor, utilities. I have my own tiny kitchen, a bathroom and a big main room plus balcony with view of the city skyline.

Why would you want to live somewhere with no privacy? Imagine sharing a fridge or a bathroom with other people, I literally can't even

It's like an expensive Auschwitz for fucking hipsters.

I have read all the studies and I am convinced. I had my butthole sewn shut and got colostomy bag just in case I am put in such a situation

*utilities included. and its a high rise building

You never know when a bunk bed will strike.

The staff, namely the therapists. Addicts coming clean are some of the horniest fucking people in existence. But addicts are also meant to have a year of sobriety under their belt before having sex. Put this together in a communal living scenario and wait for the powder keg to blow.

No, you got a paycheck and had health and dental insurance.

MOAR!!!

Things coming up missing is probably common though. It seems to easy to just blame others

Yeah and that dude is having a hard time picking one

supply and demand my friend.
if you decide to work in a ski town for a season good luck trying to find 1/4th of a bedroom for $700/month.
When I was sharing with 11 coworkers the monthly rent for the 3 bedroom place was $9600/month. No way a normal person's gunna afford that on their own. Ski/resort towns are swimming with money but an issue is no building space, meaning 10's of thousands of people trying to move to a town that has space for maybe 3000 people.

near the end of season I ended up getting my own room to myself (literally, it's a fairly solid achievement in a ski town) for $600/mo but
i got lucky. good deals like that are never advertised because the sheer number of 100's of applicants. people usually only tell their friends and coworkers that there's a room open so you hear about the good places via word of mouth .

IV drug users? Ground zero for an hiv outbreak

Stayed at a rehab in Los Angeles for 6 months.

It got boring fast. Worst year of my life, second worst was the following year, and this one is shaping up to be the absolute intolerable winner of being terrible.

It only cost $80000 to stay there 6 months.

yeah but that mostly only happens with stuff in the fridge. once in a while you might be missing an extra beer or your leftover chilli from 2 nights ago might be gone, but eventually you either learn to live with it and get your own back, or you learn to hide your shit better.

i'd put cheap shitty beers in the fridge mostly cuz I dont care if 1 goes missing and other housemates dont care if you grab one of theirs from time to time if you're low.
but chocolate? cake? pre-cooked food/leftovers? whisky? hell no, shit's precious and gets stolen the second you leave the house. you learn to hide that shit in other places, hide it in other wrappers/containers or re-label it. I used to keep an icecream tub, but i ripped the label off and wrote "COOKING LARD" all over it with pen, then hide it deep in the back of the freezer (usually behind some bread). never had anything go missing from that container.

>live in a resort town for work
>tfw I finally got my own mini-apartment to myself
>paying $300/week plus utilities
>almost wish I was sharing a bedroom with a stranger again

New arrivals were placed in detox as a sort of quarantine, where they were given a round of tests including HIV, STD, etc etc. It quickly became known when someone had HIV because they had to be paired with others who had HIV. Not gonna say they didn't still get fucked too, but this wasn't a stupid facility.

>you got a paycheck
so it was a company store type slavery

>health and dental insurance
so do livestock, don't want your investment getting sick and dying on you
