Cause it was interesting! Now it’s being attacked daily by subversives and their sick shit. I’m content right now, just watching some things I set in motion grow. I keep revisiting cause of posts like this one.
I came here in 2012 as well. I haven't been here much in the last year. I started posting on reddit, but its not as conversational, though Cred Forums isn't exactly conversational either. I stood by this place a lot longer than most people did, but it's a mess.
Right now I'm really nervous about my current situation, I can make great amounts of money but its not a guaranteed paycheck. I really miss having a comfy simple job.

Started browsing Cred Forums in 2016 cause of the election for Cred Forums threads, came to Cred Forums in early 2017 Came for the rekt threads because I was badly bullied, turns out imaging your tormentors as the victims in those videos is a huge serotonin booster ironically now I’m a democrat despite all that time on pol

Started in 2010, out of curiosity. Some really funny shit happens here at times. I'm OK with my life but bored. Better bored than stressed though.

Cred Forums used to be a sort of 'entry level' board, and because of that it was great for people who liked a variety of topics instead of obsessing over a single topic, and it had the benefit of people talking about anything and everything.
For instance, there would be nightly 'creepy threads', which were mostly people from /x/ sharing the more popular stuff from that board. You could bring up a movie or genre and people would share opinions and recommendations.
You could just start a thread saying 'Digimon was better than pokemon', and it would take off in a spirited debate and people talking about what they liked about it. People would do big puzzles whree they post a picture and we have to figure out where it was taken with exif data, then going there is another clue for the next part of the treasure hunt.
Earthcam was really popular becuase of those old fags who went to time square and would knock over the postcard stand. People would constantly leave a link to it saying 'see you in 15 minutes' and hundreds of us would hang in the thread waiting for something to happen. Most of the time nothing ever did, sometimes a man in a dinosaur costume would show up and do a dance.
One time I did Earthcam hollywood and dressed up as a jester and jumped on a strangers back, it was a fun adventure across 3 threads. Sometimes people would just post an elaborate greentext and we would all have a good laugh and share similar experiences.
These days Cred Forums is too formulaic. We always had thread themes but now you aren't really allowed to have a thread without a pre existing theme and 99% of them are porn. We used to hate the furfags for spamming up the board but now its literally everyone. Every single state and every single area code has decided that they need to have their own god damn thread for posting nudes of women they will never meet. People would rather respond to the spam then give a decent thread a bump even if they don't want to stay in it.
