what is this and why does it frighten you user

It's called a gulper eel. Basically it's known for being able to swallow stuff 10x it's size. Something about it being so small and able to completely encase and dissolve something with much more mass than it. Not a threat to humans, but that concept unsettles me

Fucking deep sea hatchet fish
The fucking eyes and gaping mouths unnerve the hell out of me

Attached: 2-2.png (448x357, 42K)

You're somehow genetically related to that thing

for me its sharks. i had one brush up against me on vacation and ive been thalassophobic ever since.

this

how did you know what it was? it was probably a small ass sand shark or some shit

Attached: tumblr_nbytqrpWlV1qd8w33o1_500.jpg (500x750, 69K)

Reminds me of the aliens from Metal Slug

The one's that we don't know about

Pic one that we know of that scares you

i saw the fin. i didnt really stay to check it out i just fuckin left immediately. you're right that it was probably a small shark but even small sharks unnerve me.

Obviously a box jellyfish.

Pure evil

Killer Whales.
The most terrifying known sea species on planet earth.
These things will kill you, but only when you are alone and unable to fight back and they coordinate in groups.

Attached: Killer Whales.png (1013x787, 1.42M)

>Killer Whales. The most terrifying known sea species on planet earth.

lol what are you 4?

these fucking things are smart too. i saw a video where a seal was hiding on a patch of eyes so the pod of whales swam together and jolted their tails to create a wave that broke the ice apart so they could get to the seal.

>patch of eyes
wew im retarded. i meant ice

>These things will kill you, but only when you are alone and unable to fight back and they coordinate in groups.
They have never attacked a human being out in the ocean. They only kill their trainers in seaworld.

They hunt whales and great white sharks so yeah they are the alpha predatord of the sea. Educate yourself retard.

Blue ringer

If you get a ventilator hooked up for a day before the poison sets on, you'll survive with no side affects

can't post the gif, but look up Vampire Squid
hint: they can turn themselves completely inside-out

Do not be fooled. These things were actively killed by humans some time in the past, after they were caught killing humans. Now they specifically avoid humans when they can be caught.

Stray human kyakers go missing near areas where killer whales have been seen swimming. Killer whales avoid detection and are extremely dangerous.

>they are the alpha predatord of the sea.

and you're the alpha retord of the internet for being scared of a whale

This mother fucker. You can see it. Its tenticals can be 20 feet long. If 1 touches you would be paralyzed in a few seconds if it wraps around you.
Being paralyzed in water often kills you.

This fucking thing right here.
Don't be fooled by it's dumb face, this muppet will drop you if you step on it.

Attached: Stonefish.jpg (1280x720, 182K)

Lamprey, seriously.

this is some sort of bs.. is there a antivenom or does the poison dissipates on its own?

Attached: IMG_7014.jpg (225x225, 8K)

Happy feeling gone....

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nasty fucker but won't kill you

Attached: niggers.jpg (1200x800, 194K)

LOL they...... broke the seal XD

There is no known anti-venom but to my knowledge it's venom shuts down your diaphragm so you can't breathe but it's side effects exit your system after a period of time that's quickly. Otherwise doesn't affect the body in any way. As long as you get artificial respiration hooked up in time, seems you're fine

Yeah and these fuckers can hang out by the shore in shallow water unlike pussy ass killer whales.

Other than the famous Sea World incident, have there been any recorded instances when a orca killed a human? I know they are above sharks on the food chain but it boggles me that there are so many more shark attacks than orca attacks.

>malacosteus niger
even their name is scary. fucking loosejaws

Really big octopuses are as smart as humans, can use tools and squeeze through coffee cans.

Pigeon.
The most terrifying known air species on planet earth.
These things will kill you, but only when you are alone and unable to fight back and they coordinate in groups.

They still scare me.

they are only scary for like 10 minutes then they stop moving.

better than their land based form.

>after they were caught killing humans.
Nope no reliable source for this they have never ever killed or attacked humans.
Stop with your bullshit.

Attached: c85.jpg (620x640, 37K)

I am not the afraid of orca retard because unlike him I know thst they never attack humans.
Shizo there are more than 2 ppl here.

Acknowledge my MOTHERFUCKING pidgom

>Other than the famous Sea World incident, have there been any recorded instances when a orca killed a human?

>actually scary
Everything else is bush league

they are only venomous in the wild. the reason is it develops its venom from the food it eats. just like that dragon slug

Notice how fat the pig is in this pic? Actually disgusting. On the other hand that swine looks cool tho.

Hahahahahahah fuck that was good

When I was little that if I put my head down in a pool and a shark would be there/I'd be in the middle of the ocean

Attached: 11616_1.jpg (728x426, 66K)

This. I'm not even gonna google it because I don't want to see those pictures of it's fucking horrifying teeth curling inward and suctioning onto a glass plane for the science team to take a picture of its mouth

I've caught countless fish with these fuckers attached. Never gets any less alien

I do now

I’ve actually dived in boat wrecks alittle before and it’s quite unnerving

Didn’t know people use them as bait

Attached: b3a5a590-4573-0133-8edb-0e17bac22e39.png (646x400, 155K)

And they exude that gel-goo-substance too from their weird holes on the sides right? Gets them out of predators grasp.

I meant attached to the fish. Also countless more that have had them on at some point. They have a bloody red spot below their side fins if one was attached at some point

Sometimes when I exude my goo from my hole it also helps me escape the grasp of my predator wife.

Well now I do

One of the strangest things ever is when the DNR culls them each year and any river attached to the Great Lakes will have hundreds of the dead fuckers flowing down at the surface

This one is almost creepier to me. Those weird lights, the way it's eyes shine, the way it just appears from the murkiness.

Makes you realize how nearby some unspeakable horror could be, and how far from a safe warm place you would be if you were down there.

Never seen the killer whales beaching themselves with echo location to hunt seals in Argentina before have you?
It's nuts and they flip those fuckers in the air and torture them.

Trips of Satan confirm it's a demon spawn

Ooh that makes more sense lol
Do you ever pull them off or just leave them?

Please explain more, I'm highly curious.

I haven't seen that because I don't hang out in shit holes like Argentina. Sounds interesting though.

They're an invasive species where I fish so I kill them everytime I pull one in

Honestly this thread is better than any creepypasta shit. Can't believe I'm sitting here following a non-porn thread.

It's on multiple nature documentaries. You see, recently a thing called a video camera was made, and it records things that you can watch... in other locations!
Point is yes, they can hunt near shallow water.

Reminds me of the lava worm boss from metroid zero mission

They use something called lampricide which is this green liquid that kills them and somehow leaves the rest of the ecosystem relatively unaffected but they do this up river so it can travel down river and basically rolling thunder their breeding spots. You'll get random waves of greenish water with dead lampreys floating at the top flow past you in the early spring after the ice thaws

Fucking coomer

But good for you I’m glad you’re not cooming

Seeing it next to a piece of modern technology just throws that effect into sharp contrast. Something familiar right next to something alien.

Or are you masturbating to creepy fish. Is that your fetish?

Don't get started w/ the fish porn. There's no end to it.

Pic related

The video camera was invented about a century ago. I wouldn't call that recent. I mean, it's more than a lifetime for most.

This is some cool shit.
So you kill the larvae before they become big forearm sized, dune worm mouthed, fish succing parasites.

How about this?

Attached: Goblin Shark.gif (400x300, 899K)

Precisely. Problem is, it doesn't work in places like Lake Superior which is fucking huge so the goal is containment rather than eradication.

>t's nuts and they flip those fuckers in the air and torture them.
They do not flip them into the air because it's fun or torture. They do it because if the seal is alive it might damage their eyes while they bite it. They do it to prevent needless dmg. The kick and fall knock the seal out and it is safe to eat.
Stop making up stuff okay?

Idk what it is but I’m with you guys, fuck these things. I wonder if it’s a biological predisposition to be so disgusted by parasites like these because I can’t fucking stand them

I believe many can agree

Attached: goose.jpg (1200x800, 167K)

Sorry, I'll be more blunt.
You don't have to go to a place to see an event happen, retard.
You didn't know because you didn't know, not because you're too good to travel.

See the weird thing is, I'm fine with leeches. I even want to try getting that leech therapy thing where they suck my blood for a bit, and I just don't mind their suction butts and weird 3-toothed mouth.

But lampreys, fuck that. I remember seeing it's mouth fully clasped onto a glass plane in a book about ocean animals as a kid and getting startled. I was scared it was going to jump out of the book and latch onto my face or something autistic like that, but still I couldn't look away from it's maw.

No, I'm too poor to travel. At least insult me appropriately...

They're terrifying, but with anything, they become less scary as you encounter them more. I've been desensitized to them because I've caught so many fish with one or more attached

She's not even that bad, just kinda homely. I'm sure you've sought grosser girls to give you a pity jerk

Thanks for a quality thread OP

Wave they considered irradiation?

Attached: dagon.1357847290891.jpg (512x381, 55K)

But they do flip them in the air.
They also torture animals.

theinertia.com/video/killer-whale-launches-seal-into-the-stratosphere-with-his-tail/

google.com/amp/s/www.livescience.com/amp/63622-orca-spins-sea-turtle.html

Disgusting creature please go back to the sea for the love of god

when did I say they don't flip them In the air? I even gave you the reason.

This is the US, not the USSR

I see, you're projecting on whales and Argentina because you're poor.

That looks like me sitting at my computer looking back at it

goblin shark

I'm reaffirming they do flip them into the air, there is video and documented proof that they don't always eat the kill.
That's torture.
The beaching thing in Argentina is pure hunting because they can only do it once or twice a year.

Definitely not projecting. I've seen the documentary, Free Willy, so I know that orcas are friends. And although I called Argentina a shit hole, which is true by the way, I'd still bury my tongue in some hot Argentinian booty hole.

God damn, Satan trips bringin' the good shit. That thing must feed on pure nightmare juice
